The ground hog saw his shadow. We went for groceries in PM. UMW at parsonage. Week of Prayer and Self Denial program. I was in charge of it. Washed dark clothes. 82nd parachute drops across from Kiechle’s.

Warmer and cloudy. Washed clothes. Merrill helped Carl on tractor in PM. Rocket launch got off in morning. All okay.

Merrill went to dump. He cleaned church on way back. He cleaned floors here. He helped Horton’s get tractor blade back on in PM. Got first full telephone bill since AT&T took over. Not too much charge.

We went to Sunday School and church, 60 out. A great family service. They had a youth pizza party at CEC in evening with 25 kids out to it. Snowing all day but above freezing. Quiet day here.

Snowed during night some. Everything clean again. Merrill helped do chores at Horton’s. Elaine’s grandfather died in Ohio.

Rebekah’s, only 6 out. Merrill helped Carl do chores in AM. I sent for vitamin C and D and E lotion to Arco (Lane Bryant Co.)

Another great day. Much warmer, 40°. Washed colored clothes. Cleaned back room. Got letter from Vern’s. His gout is better. They are coming February 20-21st.

Carl died two years ago today. Raining but warm. Space ship landed in Florida for first time in Florida. Cut my hair. Washed clothes. Joey brought me pussy willows.

Furnace at church wouldn’t start. Robbins came and started it. We went to Sunday School and church, 53 in church. In 40’s again today. Cloudy. Howard, Evelyn, and Charlotte Hale here in PM. Had been to visit Orville at Manor.

Joel’s 8th birthday. Sent him card, letter, and $5.00. Sent light bill payment. Sent note to Vern’s. Great day in 50’s. Merrill fixed outside door. He went up to Horton’s trailer in AM. Went to Antwerp for stove pipe but Robbins hadn’t made it yet.

Cloudy but warm. In the 50’s. Almost 60°. Made donuts for first time in ages. Got 3 packages of free cheese. Water in cellar at parsonage and CEC. Merrill pumped it out. Marty over. Kathy’s car broke down on way to work. Flooding in a lot of places. We bought our phone today.

40’s and cloudy. Merrill checked sump pump at CEC and parsonage. I washed load of clothes. Got letter from Elmer and Melba. They moved outside of Weedsport on January 31st. PO Box 692

(Gerry and Pat’s) Deanne Hall’s 2nd birthday. Nice day. We went to Mills bank. Got groceries. Sent Jill card, note, and $5.00. Darcy brought us cookies. I made molasses cookies.

Merrill fixed June’s hot water heater. Put in element. Carl Taylor and Merrill fixed broken water pipes in parsonage. I made vegetable soup and roasted a turkey.

Joel was on TV with the Tiger Scouts on the Danny Burgess show. Joel announced the show. Merrill went to Sears, Fays and Garns. Got Rev. Salisbury rug. Washed clothes. Very foggy all day long. Audrey called in evening.

Jill’s 9th birthday. Very stormy all day. Lots of accidents and many roads closed. No mail or paper because of storm. Called several about food for Thursday. Noreen Riley’s 81st birthday.

Beatrice Clark moved into parsonage with Rev. Salisbury. Cloudy day. Merrill went over town for milk and apples. Got vitamins and cream by UPS. Vern got here at 3 PM. We got Agway credit for HEAP payment, $260.00.

Vern’s left about 2 PM. John picked Steve up at 3:30. Dan had 3:30 eye appointment. Snowed a little but melted later.

Rebekah’s. I was on refreshments, salad and cinnamon rolls. I made salad and rolls for lodge. Merrill took me over as Ginny didn’t come.

Dan’s 17th birthday. A great day. Sunny, 60°. We went for groceries. Washed dark clothes. Cutways moving into McCloud house. Jill called from Audrey’s.

Jim goes to Syracuse VA Hospital, for back tests, 10:30. Merrill helped Carl Horton on trailer repairs. Slates moving in this weekend. Moving van parked at Randalls for two days. Nice day. Snow all gone.

Merrill finished shoveling driveway. Snow blower wouldn’t work yesterday. Cold but sunny. Tom Berry died last night. I called several for food.

We went for groceries in AM. Sunny but cold. Still snowing in Syracuse. Orville Hale, 86 died today, Evelyn’s Uncle. World Day of Prayer at Mills Presbyterian Church for all churches. I had a part. 35 there. Mrs. Ball showed slides of Sweden and Norway. Very nice.

Used last of our wood. Sunny but still cold. Merrill called Cliff Hamilton. He will bring wood Monday. Merrill went to June’s to see what was wrong with tractor. I baked apple pie and rolls. Took UMW food to Berry’s.

Sunny. Only zero degrees today. We went to Sunday School. 47 there and Church had 70. Communion. Trustees decided to give “the Manor” one of church pianos.
