UMW at church, 7 PM. Tyler Landaus slides on Italy. Very interesting. 3 from Mills there also. We went for groceries. Merrill was interviewed by WWNY. Merrill got hair cut. I called Patty.

Snow flurries for first this fall. I made cherry pie for Steve’s.

Steve and Kathy’s. Down to 20° last night. Called Jim’s. Sunny day but cold. Merrill cleaned floors. We got to Brewerton about 3 PM. Vern, June, Robin and Dan there for supper also. A delicious supper. They have nice home.

Kids took us out for brunch. We left for home about 12:30. Stopped at Ken’s. Had good visit and saw his new 48X108 ft. building.

Dr. Scanlon, 2 PM. No field tests. Lyla and Kathy here all forenoon. Charge Conference at Carthage United Methodist Church. We went with Bob and Sue B. Nice meeting. Big turnout. Roberta called from hospital. Her father-in-law in with heart trouble.

Election. We voted in AM. Merrill raked leaves at church. Bob helped in PM.

Wrote Steve’s. Lyla was over in PM. She said Garmon has bone cancer. She saw Doris H at city. I went to Rebekah’s in PM with Ginny. There is court in the Municipal Building in the evening.

Raining hard but warm. Thunder. We went for groceries. Much happening at Berlin Wall between East and West Germany. Sent Leslie card and letter.

The Berlin wall opened to all people for the first time in 28 years. No school. Merrill went to Mills with Carl for wagon. Eric Leeson 18, killed on Route 11.

Cloudy and windy. Rained. Washed clothes. Jim called in evening. He has been sick. Also Jills

Leslie’s 76th birthday. Hailed during night. Still on ground this morning. We went to church 32, and Sunday School 42. Thanksgiving supper at church in evening. 6 PM. We didn’t go. Jim, Joel, and Jill here. They are coming for Thanksgiving.

I called S Jackson. He’s to call us tomorrow. Dan starts his new job with the LeMoyne School in Syracuse. They are building an all new shop for him. Jim shot a deer at Cranberry. He and Sue went hunting.

Still warm, 60° but cloudy and rainy. Windy in PM and evening. Art Hall’s 100th birthday.

Very windy and rainy. 68° in morning but cooled off to 25° by evening. Lots of accidents. Chemical truck tipped over on Route 37 by Longway. Got 18 pound turkey for 38¢ a pound with coupon. Cha here. Wanted to give us turkey but I told him I’d cook it for him.

Ground white this morning. Terrible stormy all over. More accidents. Still windy. Charlene Tryon called from Wolcott. Leslie quite bad. He is on oxygen. Cancer spread in many organs.

Washed clothes. Merrill went to dump. Snowing off and on. Very stormy Pulaski and Lowville areas.

Down to 20° over night. We went to Sunday School 48, and church 32. Communion. I called Jim’s. He got a deer Monday. He was hooking up a new electric kitchen range.

Washed Merrill’s clothes. Made rolls. Wrote Vern’s. Merrill went to store for fresh 18 pound Purdue turkey 79¢. Raining and windy most of day.

Windy. My birthday. We went to store. Called Mr. Jackson but he wasn’t in.

Church, Evans Mills 7:30. We didn’t go. I was too tired and my hip hurt bad. Got stuff ready for tomorrow. Merrill cleaned house. Got letter from Stuart Jackson (copy of Egan’s letter)

Thanksgiving. Vern, June, Steve and Kathy, Dan and Robin, Jim, Joel, Jill, and Jolie here for dinner. Great day together. Weather nice. Patty called in evening and we talked for 2 hours.

Snowing off and on. Got dishes put away and furniture back to order.

Washed clothes. Merrill was on TV on Fort Drum documentary, “Prime to Glory”. Also Stephanie Cha and Wayne Huntress, and Stan Thorton.

Merrill went over to Sunday School 47, and church 44. Merrill went over to fix toilet at church in PM. Cha here in evening.

Washed tablecloth and white cloths. Cold in morning but warmed up later. Merrill put some wood down cellar. I baked cookies.

Trustee meeting, 7 PM. Merrill went. Very cloudy. Prayer chain: Margaret Waters, Edna Cross, Louwella Rudes, Vivian Ronas. Very sunny and warm. Like summer.

I made cinnamon rolls for bazaar. My back sore. Cold today.

Got up to lots of snow. Some schools closed or delayed. IRC open. We went for groceries. Wrote Leslie and Edna Cross. Made pumpkin pies. Power off 30 minutes in evening. Car hit a pole.
