Communion. We went to church, 57 out. Jim here on cycle in PM. Jill gets home from Senior trip to Montreal. Jolie called.

A nice summer like day, 66°. Jolie didn’t come out.

We went to city. Merrill got robe at Sears and duffle bag at Hills. I got white blouse. I was too tired to go see Roy and Aunt Maude. Vi called in evening. Wants us to go out to eat Mother’s Day. I got invitation to Susie’s baby shower.

Raining in morning. Rained some during day and evening. Kristen’s 2nd birthday. Thunder and lightening in PM some.

Foggy in morning. We went for groceries in AM. Thunder storm. Rained off and on. Some sun. Gary B was over. Got letter from Beulah. Bob Eberly bought Bilkie farm. I made vegetable soup. UMW at Joyce Griffin’s. I didn’t go.

Merrill’s pre operation tests, 9:15 at hospital. Nothing to eat or drink. Vern came at 8 AM and took us. It took 4 hours for tests. Cloudy in forenoon. Sunny in PM. We used new Fleet bank check today for first. Boscheck girls here all week.

A nice day. In 70’s. Merrill mowed lawns for first this year. I washed clothes. Ken and Esther here in evening. Had been to Alex Bay.

We went to church, 7 out. We went out to dinner at Schulers in city with Bill and Vi. Jim, Jill, Jolie, Shawn, and Larry here when we got home. Joel called. Jim brought me geranium plant.

Bea Gehm’s heart tests in Syracuse. Washed bed sheets and pillow cases. Merrill picked first asparagus yesterday. Jim and Patty married 24 years ago today. A great summer day.

Call 785-4095 (1 PM to 3 PM) He goes in at 7 AM tomorrow.

Rebekah’s covered dish, 6:30 PM. Merrill’s operation. All went well. Vern took us at 6:30 AM. He had operation at 11 AM. Rev. C, Patty, Vern, Jim, and I there. Jim went back in evening. Pauline Roggie came in evening to stay.

Pauline and I went to hospital. Stopped at Thayers on way. Sue Boscheck, Rev. C and Patty at hospital. Gary was over in evening.

Colder this morning. Frost. We went to hospital at noon. Patty there also. Sue B and Rev. C stopped by. Saw Gladys on way out of hospital. Ted in hospital.

Patty’s birthday. We went to hospital. Merrill got catheter out. Feeling great. Clarence Lamon in hospital. We stopped to see him. Roy and Margaret went to see Merrill.

Baby shower for Susie P, 2-4 PM. Merrill got out of hospital. Pauline and I went out for him. Lyla here for lunch. She and Pauline went to Beulah’s. Jim here on motorcycle in PM.

Pauline went home to Lowville to mow her lawns. Cold and cloudy.

Men came to install water meter but had wrong size pipe. Gary Belile went to hospital in ambulance. Had dizzy spells and fell to floor. Linda brought him home later. Pauline spent night here. Vivian was over. She and Clara mowed our lawns in evening. Cha brought Stephanie home from college. Got letter from Kathy.

Award supper by church at school. Pauline went with Lyla and Cheryl to see the lilacs at Rochester. Raining. Merrill went over to see Gary. Vern called in evening. Donna [Metherell] had baby girl born May 9th. Laurel Jean. Mother’s day, and Jan’s [Myers] birthday.

Pauline took me over after groceries. She went home afterwards. Froze asparagus. Louise Preston, 75 died today at Madonna Home.

Washed clothes. Nice day. Sunny. Boy Scout Banquet with Col. Oliver North speaker at Bonnie Castle. Jim and Explorers there.

Martin Rudy memorial at Philadelphia church, 1 PM. We went. A large turn out. Chomsun borrowed rototiller. Clark ran it for her. Rev. C has Preston funeral. I called for food. Gave $5 for Louise Preston memorial.

Funeral at city. Louise Preston’s. Margaret and I took food from church women. Gloria, Roger, Sandy and baby Shelby from 801 here in AM.

Froze asparagus. Cloudy day. Cold. Jolie called. They are planning to get married July 17.

Sent order to Carol Wright Gifts for skirt and shoes. Rebekah’s, 11 out. Going out to eat. Next meeting to Evans Mills. Thunder storm in evening.

Gilenda here alone this morning. Girls won’t be here again until Tuesday. We went for groceries in AM. Vivian and Clark mowed our yards again. Wayne H brought roast beef.

Roger Hall and Audrey Parker’s wedding, 6 PM at Methodist church, and reception at Legion. All very nice. A large turnout. Raining. Washed clothes. No school today. Got new phone book.

Merrill took garbage.

We went to church, 33 out. Steve, Kathy, and Kristen here for dinner. Kristen’s so cute. Gloria Collins bought George Belile’s house for $30,000. Deed notice in today’s paper.

Rained about all day. Most parades canceled.
