Foggy last evening and all day. Merrill worked at Hall’s. I canned 6 quarts of carrots, whole. Washed my hair and showered. Washed clothes.

Wrote Mrs. Peer, Massesa. Sent Bea G birthday card. Merrill worked at Hall’s all day. Patty, Jill, and Joel here to get chain saw. Here for lunch. Cloudy but nice.

UMW at Margaret’s, 7:30. I went. 16 present. Got groceries. Beautiful day. In 70’s. Sent Mary card and letter. Finance Meeting at church, 8 PM. I didn’t go. Merrill worked at Halls. I went after him. Dentist appointment, teeth cleaned, 8 teeth, $8.

Rainy. Merrill worked at Halls. I washed clothes. Dr. Scanlon has changed my eye appointment to next Tuesday.

Sunday School paper drive. Merrill cleaned church. Didn’t work at Hall’s as they didn’t bring gravel. Windy and rained in AM, but nice in PM.

Communion. 94 out at church. Rainy and cold wind. Called Jim’s. Put plants in house from porch. Watched Pope Paul I from Washington DC. His last day here.

No mail. Times delivered. Merrill worked at Halls. I made lemon pie. Cold wind.

Dr. Scanlon, 10:30. No change, $25. Got iron capsules, 100 for $7.78. Dr. Roberts nurse called about druggist calling them. Need to take 3 pills a day. Called Beulah and Patty. Rainy and cold. Snow in Massena. First game of world Series called off because of rain.

Wrote Dot. Merrill worked at Halls. Washed clothes. Got letter from June and Marg. Virginia New and Evelyn Fowler here electioneering. Snowed in Washington, DC. None here. I went to Rebekah’s. Vern called in evening to say Ralph Hogaboom in ICU in hospital.

We went to Carl and Evelyn’s to tell them about Ralph being in hospital. Vern called again. Wrote Marg. Merrill worked at Hall’s. I put color rinse on my hair. Gary Belile in Florida this week.

B-12 shot. Wrote Beulah Hall in Deland hospital. Merrill worked at Hall’s all day. Washed clothes.

Cold and rainy. We got groceries at P&C and Super Duper. Went out to Lorraine. Marg’s and Don’s not home. Don was, but we didn’t go to barn. Stopped at Beulah’s and they all showed up there but Don.

Laity Sunday. Tracy Robertson has service. Very good service. 84 out. Patty, and kids here in PM and supper. Jim had PBA meeting. Showed film Scared Straight at Holy Family Church in evening.

Rainy. Merrill worked at Hall’s. Lots of bees in laundry room door.

Merrill worked at Hall’s. Very foggy in evening. Rainy. Washed. Wrote Vern’s. Talked with June R. Pittsburgh Pirates won Series from Baltimore Orioles.

Merrill worked at Hall’s. Sent invitation to Lorne Strader and Bowman’s. Cleaned laundry room, washed rugs. Made bean salad.

Merrill took car to Seaker’s, wheel bearing. We put lawn furniture away. Patty called. Jim didn’t make sergeant. Beautiful day. Warm, 65°. We went to Civic League covered dish supper. Bill and Vi went with us. They honored Ken Ridles [?] and Virginia New. Jim and Pat to it.

Jim’s Explorer group back pack on Whiteface Mountain. Beautiful day, 70°. Carl and Evelyn Scee stopped in for few minutes. Merrill put new window in at CEC. Gary Belile got home from Florida. Got nice letter from Dot.

We went to church. Another great day 75°. Patty and kids here for supper. Also Carl and Evelyn. Jim with Explorers on Whiteface Mountain.

A great day, 80°. Washed. Jim was on Tony Harblin show on WWNY. Merrill worked at Hall’s in PM until 8 PM. There is a beautiful red rose out on the small rose bush beside house.

Warm but windy. Gave Boots a bath. Merrill worked at Hall’s in PM until 4:30. We changed dirt on Boston Fern. It is 45 years old. Got letter from Vern’s.

Installation and covered dish at Lodge, 72 there. Virginia New NG, Nancy Wilcox VG, I’m Inside Guard, Antwerp Lodge installed us. Em. Robinson and staff. Merrill worked at Hall’s in PM. Got home at 5 PM. Doesn’t go back until Friday. Sent Steve card, letter, and $5.

Got note from June, coming Friday. Steve’s 15th birthday. We went to city. Got groceries and drugs, eye drops, needles, B-12, and iron pills. Called Beulah and Patty. Also got groceries at Big M. We spent evening at Hall’s playing 7-27.

Merrill worked all day at Hall’s. Cold. A few snow flurries. No school. Teacher’s meetings.

Party at Marilyn and Bob’s. We didn’t go. Made lemon cake for anniversary party. Sky Weaver here electioneering as councilman.

Toll Free Phone to Watertown starts. Called Vern’s. 50th anniversary party for Roy and Marg at Lorraine Fire Hall. 150-200 there. Grand party. We went to church, 115 out. Bowman’s called in morning. Set clocks back 1 hour at 2 AM.

Merrill worked at Hall’s. Left car at Joe’s to have new bearing put in, $45. I went after him at Hall’s. Howard came after him.

Roy and Marg Pitkin’s 50th anniversary. Lots of bees in door again today. I called Marg and Roy’s anniversary into WNC2 with my first toll free call to city. Merrill took car out to Sears. They think it’s the battery. Let him use one of theirs until Thursday.

Had new brake linings put on rear wheels at Joe’s’ Auto, $45. Merrill dug rest of beets and carrots. He cleaned church. Halloween, 30 kids here. Marilyn and kids here. Washed. Beautiful day and evening.
