Easter Sunday. Went to Ellisburg for dinner. Stopped at Dad’s. Mother T is out to Beulah’s. Oren gave Vernon a box of candy. Grand day.

Rainy. Been in bed all day. Got new fire insurance. Letter from C.B.Cox. Called Dr. Reed but he is sick.

President Roosevelt died at Warm Springs, Georgia at 3:35 PM. age 63. Got letter from Mom. Sent her one.

Sent letter for B gas. Painted living room floor. Listened to radio about President Roosevelt’s death. Vernon got out of school early.

President Roosevelt’s funeral at 4:00 PM. Went to Lacona in evening. Bought sewing machine. $7.00. Vernon got new pants. Jimmy got shirt & overalls.
