    Partly sunny. Warmer. This is my 62nd year of keeping a diary. Vern and June gave me this one for Christmas. This is the 7th one of this style they have given me. Sandy Fagan gave me one like this. Jim and Vern both called to wish me happy New Year. Florence brought my four Santa ornaments form hall window. She isn’t good. Vi was here.

    42° and 17°. Raining about all day. Freezing part of time. Lots of accidents. Windy. I didn’t go to church. Too icy. Jim N brought me bulletin.

    43° and 33°. Cloudy day. Snow all gone. I took down decorations have to do tree yet. Vi and Angie here. I went to Centennial meeting. Larry Bush president, Eva Golo vice president, Barb Coughlin treasurer, and Marion Carvell secretary for the New Year. I sent Shawn Michael Ashley’s picture that Angie found in my chair.

    Dark cloudy day. No sun. I asked Hope about putting VIP sign up sheet on bulletin board for dining out card. Vi here. Also Florence. She gave me chicken for supper. I had nosebleed in morning when I woke up. First one in ages. Coby Slate here in PM. Juanita called in evening.

    Another cloudy day. 30° and 15°. I stored Christmas decorations. Vi here twice. I put sign up sheet in lobby for VIP raffle. Angie here in evening. Juanita called in evening. She said Ken and Esther go to lawyers on January 17th and 18th. Jim and holly went with them last time they went but Roberta refused to go. She is to go next time or she will be subpoenaed.

    37° and 14°. Terrible weather. Snow sleet rain and col. Very slippery in PM. I played cards in evening. Vern called. Also Debby. She’s having a rough time. Only had five hours work last week. They have been having bad snowstorms. Her power is off. Ken’s 85th birthday. They are celebrating it Sunday with a dinner at Ken and Esther’s.

    Snowing hard most of day. I went for coffee and donuts. I took donut to Barb C who I collected for VIP. Lidia here with her $1 for VIP raffles. Angie here in evening. I visited Florence in PM. She’s not feeling very good.

    Cloudy day. No snow. I didn’t go to church. Florence Dewitt went to hospital at 9 PM last night. Angie and Vi here. Jim Nash called. Angie brought me bag of blueberries she picked. Good.

    33° and 30°. Cloudy most of the day. Warmer. Sue B called for prayer chain for Dan Schaffer Sr. who had a heart attack. Vi and Angie here. Angie brought me bread pudding she made for supper. I collected $1 for VIP from Inez Peavey, and Roselyn Farmer. I stopped to see Arlene Wilson. She bought two chances. Cheryl called. Juanita called to say Ken’s trial has bee put off again until May. Jim called in evening. He had been to a meeting n Hastings.

    Warm and sunny. I didn’t go to exercise class as I forgot it. Vi here for Times. Cheryl took me to see Dr. Matorise at Mercy. My first time seeing him. He said I do not need dialysis yet. Said my medications were all that I should have. He also said Dr. LaPoint was a very thorough and very good doctor.

    Ground covered with snow this morning. Sunny day. Jessie here to clean. I washed clothes in PM. Angie and Vi here. Jim here in PM to bring me some cash. He goes to New Hampshire tomorrow and Sunday with Road Dog guys.

    20° and 10°. Some snow this PM. Vi here in AM. I made scalloped potatoes and pudding. Vern called in evening. Steve and Kathy got back from trip to Arizona. They had a good time. June working at copying some more of my diaries. Dr. LaPoint called from home in PM to tell me my kidney report was negative. No white cells. She called drugstore and Kinney’s brought me antibiotic pills for three days.

    21° and 17°. Colder. Not a bad day. I went to church with Jim N. I went out here to church in PM. Only three of us. Four of them. A lot of folks are sick with flu. Vi here. Also Angie. I had popcorn in evening.

    Very cold all day. I went to exercise class in morning. I collected VIP raffle upstairs. I stopped in to see Vi. I called Marge Salisbury at Mills to ask about Leah Simons. Leah and her sister Doris Ames are both in Alex Bay nursing home. Leah has been there for years. They both have Alzheimer’s. Lyla B here. Florence very bad. Debby Hanson called in evening. We talked for 2 ½ hours. I called Jim.

    Warmer. Windy and snowing. Kate Chambers one of the first folks to live here at Centennial died today at Samaritan Keep. I called Lyla. Her back doing okay. Marion C was there. Vi here. We didn’t go over to Samaritan keep because of the weather. Angie was here.

    -11 at midnight. Sunny but cold all day. Vi and I walked over to Samaritan Keep to see Florence. Also saw Jean Livingston. Lola Harter was sleeping. Florence very weak but is still alert. I went to exercise class. I watched President Bush installed as president for 2nd term on TV. Angie here. The tsunami death toll lasted at 220,000 now.

She brought me ice cream. They had a supper for Larry Best’s birthday. Jim called in PM. He had trouble with his steam heat. Too much water.

    Cold all day. Partly sunny. I went to exercise class. Florence Dewitt 89 died in Samaritan Keep at 4 AM. She lived across the hall from me and was a wonderful neighbor. I’ll sure miss her. Jolie called. She was at Shawn Michael’s basketball game. She called again in evening. Lyla called. Angie here in PM. Nurse Debby called. She said everything from blood test ‘stable’.

    A beautiful day. I didn’t go to church. Jim took my card for Iraq solders. Vern, June, and Lydia and Jordan here for dinner. June brought goulash, broccoli, cookies, rolls and pecan pie.     52° and 8°. Sunny and warm like spring. Angie here in morning. I didn’t go to church with Jim N. went out here to service in PM. Nice. Super Bowl playoffs. Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. Patriots won 24-21. I called Vi about going to blood lab in morning. Will go at 9 AM. I have eye appointment with Dr. Sanni 2:15.

    48° and 43°. Warm. Not much sun. Vi and I walked over to hospital. I had blood work. Cheryl took me to Dr. Sanni’s in PM. I have to have CEP surgery on left eye. Pressure 26 in left and 19 in right. Very high. Was 10 last time. I called Jim and Vern. Debby left message twice on my answering machine. Vern called back in evening.

    Cloudy, raining and foggy. I went to exercise class. Big turn out. About 20-25. Nurse Debby called. My blood report normal this time. I called Pauline Roggie in PM. We had nice visit. She’s feeling good now. Saw a large crowd attend Boyce’s funeral. Debby called in evening. She has lost her job. Is glad about it. Crystal’s are visiting her during winter break. No visitors today. Nice.

I called Esther. She and Ken leave for Florida Sunday at 6:30 AM. They go to her daughter’s at Mt. Dora, Sanford airport. I washed clothes in PM. Vi was here. I called TV station about sound on channel 3 Syracuse.

    36° and 32°. Very snowy and slippery. Lots of accidents. Vi here. Also Angie. I had my reclassification. My medical bill is so much I ended up having Hope pays me $1 a month. This beautiful apartment for nothing. HUD pays for it. I called Cora Carr about Coolidge paintings that sold today for almost $600,000. Cassius Coolidge is from Philadelphia and Antwerp. I called Jim. Also Cheryl. I called June and Vern in evening.
