Partly sunny. Warmer. This is my 62nd year of keeping a diary. Vern and June gave me this one for Christmas. This is the 7th one of this style they have given me. Sandy Fagan gave me one like this. Jim and Vern both called to wish me happy New Year. Florence brought my four Santa ornaments form hall window. She isn’t good. Vi was here.

42° and 17°. Raining about all day. Freezing part of time. Lots of accidents. Windy. I didn’t go to church. Too icy. Jim N brought me bulletin.

43° and 33°. Cloudy day. Snow all gone. I took down decorations have to do tree yet. Vi and Angie here. I went to Centennial meeting. Larry Bush president, Eva Golo vice president, Barb Coughlin treasurer, and Marion Carvell secretary for the New Year. I sent Shawn Michael Ashley’s picture that Angie found in my chair.

Dark cloudy day. No sun. I asked Hope about putting VIP sign up sheet on bulletin board for dining out card. Vi here. Also Florence. She gave me chicken for supper. I had nosebleed in morning when I woke up. First one in ages. Coby Slate here in PM. Juanita called in evening.

Another cloudy day. 30° and 15°. I stored Christmas decorations. Vi here twice. I put sign up sheet in lobby for VIP raffle. Angie here in evening. Juanita called in evening. She said Ken and Esther go to lawyers on January 17th and 18th. Jim and holly went with them last time they went but Roberta refused to go. She is to go next time or she will be subpoenaed.

37° and 14°. Terrible weather. Snow sleet rain and col. Very slippery in PM. I played cards in evening. Vern called. Also Debby. She’s having a rough time. Only had five hours work last week. They have been having bad snowstorms. Her power is off. Ken’s 85th birthday. They are celebrating it Sunday with a dinner at Ken and Esther’s.

A sunny day. Great to finally see the sunshine. I called Ken and Esther in morning. They go for stress tests today.

Snowing hard most of day. I went for coffee and donuts. I took donut to Barb C who I collected for VIP. Lidia here with her $1 for VIP raffles. Angie here in evening. I visited Florence in PM. She’s not feeling very good.

Cloudy day. No snow. I didn’t go to church. Florence Dewitt went to hospital at 9 PM last night. Angie and Vi here. Jim Nash called. Angie brought me bag of blueberries she picked. Good.

33° and 30°. Cloudy most of the day. Warmer. Sue B called for prayer chain for Dan Schaffer Sr. who had a heart attack. Vi and Angie here. Angie brought me bread pudding she made for supper. I collected $1 for VIP from Inez Peavey, and Roselyn Farmer. I stopped to see Arlene Wilson. She bought two chances. Cheryl called. Juanita called to say Ken’s trial has bee put off again until May. Jim called in evening. He had been to a meeting n Hastings.

24° and 17°. Cloudy all day. I didn’t go to exercise class. Cheryl took me to my appointment with Dr. LaPoint. She increased my heart medicine pills. Angie here in PM.

34° and 23°. Raining, freezing rain. Lots of accidents in places. Lila B here to tell me they are moving Florence to Samaritan Keep for therapy. Vi here. Also Sally.

Warm and sunny. I didn’t go to exercise class as I forgot it. Vi here for Times. Cheryl took me to see Dr. Matorise at Mercy. My first time seeing him. He said I do not need dialysis yet. Said my medications were all that I should have. He also said Dr. LaPoint was a very thorough and very good doctor.

Ground covered with snow this morning. Sunny day. Jessie here to clean. I washed clothes in PM. Angie and Vi here. Jim here in PM to bring me some cash. He goes to New Hampshire tomorrow and Sunday with Road Dog guys.

20° and 10°. Some snow this PM. Vi here in AM. I made scalloped potatoes and pudding. Vern called in evening. Steve and Kathy got back from trip to Arizona. They had a good time. June working at copying some more of my diaries. Dr. LaPoint called from home in PM to tell me my kidney report was negative. No white cells. She called drugstore and Kinney’s brought me antibiotic pills for three days.

21° and 17°. Colder. Not a bad day. I went to church with Jim N. I went out here to church in PM. Only three of us. Four of them. A lot of folks are sick with flu. Vi here. Also Angie. I had popcorn in evening.

14° and 5°. Cold. Sunny most of day. Angie, Sally and Vi here.

Very cold all day. I went to exercise class in morning. I collected VIP raffle upstairs. I stopped in to see Vi. I called Marge Salisbury at Mills to ask about Leah Simons. Leah and her sister Doris Ames are both in Alex Bay nursing home. Leah has been there for years. They both have Alzheimer’s. Lyla B here. Florence very bad. Debby Hanson called in evening. We talked for 2 ½ hours. I called Jim.

Warmer. Windy and snowing. Kate Chambers one of the first folks to live here at Centennial died today at Samaritan Keep. I called Lyla. Her back doing okay. Marion C was there. Vi here. We didn’t go over to Samaritan keep because of the weather. Angie was here.

-11 at midnight. Sunny but cold all day. Vi and I walked over to Samaritan Keep to see Florence. Also saw Jean Livingston. Lola Harter was sleeping. Florence very weak but is still alert. I went to exercise class. I watched President Bush installed as president for 2nd term on TV. Angie here. The tsunami death toll lasted at 220,000 now.

-5° and -19°. Very cold all day. Schools closed. No meals delivered because of cold. Vi here for Times. A lazy day. I didn’t even go out for my mail.

0° and -19°. Very cold. Windy. Started snowing in PM. Lots of accidents on slippery roads. Windchill at 6 PM was -28°. I made spaghetti.

Sunny but cold. We didn’t go to church. No one went from here. Too cold. -8° and -20°. Bad pile up on Route 81 near Adams exit. Roads very icy. Angie here. Vi here twice. She brought me ice cream. They had a supper for Larry Best’s birthday. Jim called in PM. He had trouble with his steam heat. Too much water.

21° and -22°. Snowy most all day. Vi and I walked over to hospital as I had blood work. Not bad walking. Vi and Angie ere. Lyla B brought me one of Florence’s pretty plants.

Cold all day. Partly sunny. I went to exercise class. Florence Dewitt 89 died in Samaritan Keep at 4 AM. She lived across the hall from me and was a wonderful neighbor. I’ll sure miss her. Jolie called. She was at Shawn Michael’s basketball game. She called again in evening. Lyla called. Angie here in PM. Nurse Debby called. She said everything from blood test ‘stable’.

0° and -32°. Very cold all day. Meeting on EPIC in Metcalf room at 11 AM. Vi, Angie, and Sally here. Madison called at suppertime. Said she was at her Dad’s house.

Still very cold. I went to exercise class. I heard today that Eva Guyer from downstairs is going to more into Florence’s apartment. Serenaders here to entertain in evening. Very good. Not as many out. I called Jim. Madison called me again today. Very called. He has been having upset stomach.

Not a bad day but very cold. Jessie couldn’t get her car started so didn’t come to clean. Madison called me in PM. I talked with Jim and Vern. Serenaders here in evening. Great music. Not too many there.

Warmer and nice. Jessie took me to P & C to get groceries. I got Vi a rotisserie chicken. They have been moving out Florence’s furniture. Angie here. Also Vi. I talked with Jim. Vern called to shay they would be here tomorrow.

A beautiful day. I didn’t go to church. Jim took my card for Iraq solders. Vern, June, and Lydia and Jordan here for dinner. June brought goulash, broccoli, cookies, rolls and pecan pie. The kids are getting so big. They are great kids. Kathy sent me their family picture. June brought more finished diaries. Also some for Him.

A sunny day. I walked over to hospital with Vi. She had blood work. I called Jim in evening to tell him I had copies of my diaries June made for him. I read one of mine she brought me. She has put so much work in them. I gave myself Procrit shot. Vi here for Times.

29° and -8. A beautiful sunny day. I went to exercise class. Eva Guyer here to look at my reading machine. Angie here. I got nice letter from Clark and Vivian. Eva says Bob Puffer is on oxygen now. He still lives in his small apartment along.

A sunny beautiful day. Groundhog day. Six more weeks of winter. Sue Boschock here. Good to see her and get caught up on Philadelphia news. I washed clothes in PM. I listened to President Bush’s speech in evening. Very good.

40° and 10. A nice day. Partly sunny. I went to exercise class. Not many there. I got electric bill. HEAP paid it. I mailed letter to Clark and Vivian. No visitors today. I’ve read two of the diaries June made for me in large print. So enjoyable to relive my life. As I read, it is like I’m back in time and place again.

34° and 19°. Cloudy but another nice day. Vi here for paper. Shirley called. She has flu so couldn’t give me perm. Jim N brought me church newsletter. My left shoulder lame today.

Another beautiful day. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. Vi here. Also Angie. Jim here in evening for his copies of my diaries from June. He brought me pretty candle and dish from Joanne. My Christmas present.

52° and 8°. Sunny and warm like spring. Angie here in morning. I didn’t go to church with Jim N. went out here to service in PM. Nice. Super Bowl playoffs. Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. Patriots won 24-21. I called Vi about going to blood lab in morning. Will go at 9 AM. I have eye appointment with Dr. Sanni 2:15.

48° and 43°. Warm. Not much sun. Vi and I walked over to hospital. I had blood work. Cheryl took me to Dr. Sanni’s in PM. I have to have CEP surgery on left eye. Pressure 26 in left and 19 in right. Very high. Was 10 last time. I called Jim and Vern. Debby left message twice on my answering machine. Vern called back in evening.

Cloudy, raining and foggy. I went to exercise class. Big turn out. About 20-25. Nurse Debby called. My blood report normal this time. I called Pauline Roggie in PM. We had nice visit. She’s feeling good now. Saw a large crowd attend Boyce’s funeral. Debby called in evening. She has lost her job. Is glad about it. Crystal’s are visiting her during winter break. No visitors today. Nice.

34° and 25°. Cloudy. Very slippery in morning. Angie and Vi here. Gave Vi milk. Bill started working on Florence’s apartment. Jim N called about church, Ash Wednesday.

I went to exercise class. Angie here. Brought me a piece of chocolate cake. Jessie called to say she couldn’t come tomorrow. Her daughter having operation. Sue called for prayer chain. Jack Tooley died today. He was a music teacher.

Sunny. Colder. Shirley didn’t come to give me permanent as she has the flu. Jessie didn’t come to clean as her daughter had operation. Doreen called. She thought Ken was in hospital. He isn’t. I called Esther. She and Ken leave for Florida Sunday at 6:30 AM. They go to her daughter’s at Mt. Dora, Sanford airport. I washed clothes in PM. Vi was here. I called TV station about sound on channel 3 Syracuse.

33° and 28°. Snowing lightly about all day. No sun. Sally here in PM. Roberta called from hospital. Her father-in-law is there in ICU with heart trouble. TV cable guy here about sound on channel 3. Is on the TV. I watched Daytona NASCAR races in evening. Jimmy Johnson won.

Beautiful sunny day. I didn’t go to church. Jim N brought me bulletin. Vi here for Times. Angie here in PM. Vern called in evening. June working on my diaries.

Very windy. Rained all day. Jessie here to clean. She couldn’t come last Friday. Vi here. Shirley M here in PM to give me permanent. I called Jim in PM. I had call on prayer chain for Kathy Rehm and Marjorie Calkins.

Cloudy in AM but sun in PM. Exercise class. Desimo here to teach us about rubber strips. Linda Beyette here. Gave me this pen. Jim here in PM. He fixed my channel 3 sound. He brought his kitchen VT to trade with me but didn’t have to bring it inside. Mine works fine now. Vern sent me medical notes from my diaries. June found them.

36° and 32°. Very snowy and slippery. Lots of accidents. Vi here. Also Angie. I had my reclassification. My medical bill is so much I ended up having Hope pays me $1 a month. This beautiful apartment for nothing. HUD pays for it. I called Cora Carr about Coolidge paintings that sold today for almost $600,000. Cassius Coolidge is from Philadelphia and Antwerp. I called Jim. Also Cheryl. I called June and Vern in evening.

Sunny here but snow in other places. Some schools dismissed early. I went to exercise class. 15 out to it. I washed clothes in PM, I received and returned letter about my Medicare insurance.
