I called Vern’s to tell them about Bob P. June had a gull stone attack yesterday. Spent time at hospital for tests. She’s feeling better today.

48° and 25°. Colder but sunny. I went to exercise class good to get back to it. 17 there. I washed my dark slacks. Vi was here in evening. Lyla called in evening. Marion C had back operation but still in a lot of pain.

Sunny, nice day. Dr. Schipic at 11:15 AM. Vi went with me teeth cleaned and fluoride treated. Lyla called in AM.

A nice day. Today was Bob Puffer’s memorial at Cleveland funeral home on Sherman Street. I went with Jim and came home with June and Vern. Jill stopped by. She and some friends went to Niagara Falls after the funeral. Jolie called in morning. She and Joel didn’t come for funeral. Vi was here for paper.

54° and 27°. I went to church with Jim N. I didn’t get to church out here. Juanita, Doreen and Kayden, 2 years old came in PM. Good to see them. Lots of fires and grass fires all weekend. Very dry.

66° and 41°. I’ve had my windows open all day. Like summer. I wrote Jolie and sent her clippings of Bob’s death. Vi was here.

22 grass fires today in Jefferson County. Burning ban still on. I went to exercise class. I washed clothes in PM. New Catholic Pope elected today. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, 78 of Germany. He will be called Benedict XV.

Cooler. Rained in PM. Vi and Alison here. Alison, 5 years old, got glasses yesterday. I made popcorn in evening. Angie here awhile. She got a new scooter today.

Frost overnight. Colder. I went to exercise class. Potluck supper at 5 PM. I took deviled eggs. They ate them all. Angie was here. They put new carpet in Florence’s room across hall from me. A lady from Office of the Aging called to update my records. Mrs. Schipic called about my dentist appointment.

61° and 28°. A great sunny day. Jessie here to clean. We went to Kinney’s store. M appointment with Dr. Schipic for exam. Vi walked over with me. Sally here to say our new neighbor is Reda Williams. She comes May 1st. I called Vi and she is Sue and Chuck McGrath’s next door neighbor. Small world. We stopped in to see Angie’s new scooter.

Partly cloudy. Colder. I called Blair’s about my last order. They haven’t sent part of it yet. Vi called. She’s not feeling good. Angie was here twice.

52° and 37°. Raining about all day. I didn’t go to church. Was pouring rain at times to leave. I took papers up to Vi. She is feeling better. Lyla called. Abby Moyer was at the dance with Art and Doris last night. Pauline R is planning to sell her house and get an apartment in Lowville.

46° and 32°. Colder. Partly cloudy and raining in PM and evening. I took Times up to Vi and got her mail for her. She isn’t feeling well at all today. Several folks here have the same intestinal bug.

57° and 48°. Raining off and on most of the day. Vi and I walked over to hospital. I had blood work. Arlene Wilson called in phone. Sue B called for prayer chain. Bob Henderson and Bib Eggleston both have a broken leg. Bob H from a fall and Bob E from a car accident

Colder but sunny. My appointment with Dr. LaPoint today. Cheryl took me. Everything okay. I talked with Linda B, Cindy G, and Arlene W. Vi here for Times. Also Angie. Jolie called at suppertime. She and the kids are back with Zack. She may have a job in a store selling expensive swimsuits.

A dark rainy day. I forgot to go for coffee and donuts. Vi brought me a donut. Sally and Angie here also. Elgin and Carmi called from Canada. They are well. I called Lyla. I watched NASCAR all PM.

Her grandfather had part in planning the building there. Hope’s mother is from that section of North Carolina.

I didn’t go to exercise class. VIP meeting in PM. Mike White sang for us. Some new people joined. Vern called in evening. They are coming Sunday to take me out to dinner.

57° and 27°. Warmer. Partly cloudy. Cheryl took me to my appointment with Dr. Sanni. Pressure 13 and 21. I got Mother’s Day cars from Vern and June. Also Patty. Charlie’s 68th birthday. We had entertainment tonight. Three men sang Christian songs. Very good. I called Jim in evening.

A sunny day. Sally was here. Jim called to wish me happy Mother’s Day. I didn’t get to church. Jim and Jill got here first with beautiful mother and grandmother cards. Jill brought me 3 tubes of hand cream, Avon. They rode their motorcycles. Jill came from Syracuse.

83° and 41°. A beautiful summer day. I went to exercise class. Fourteen there. I talked with Jim. I gave Cora Carr some extra milk I had. I took Angie some butter pecan ice cream.

Another great day. I got out my fans today. I put away the humidifier. Vi was here.

50° and 33°. Much cooler. Sunny. I went to exercise class. 15 there. I took down draperies for summer. Jim here to cash a check for me. He washed the bird droppings off my window. He isn’t going to Washington DC. and Myrtle Beach. He leaves Friday or Saturday.

A nice day. I’ve felt terrible all day. I have a pain in my left side. I called Debby and she got me in to see Catherine Colman. I have a urinary track infection. She started me on antibiotics. Jim took me to doctors.

In hospital. I went by ambulance about 4:30 AM. Spent most of day in the emergency room and then to ICU. Jim with me most of the day and evening. Vern and June came in PM. Sally Hamilton here.

A sunny day. I slept for nine hours. My bed felt so good after those hospital beds. The Centennial Club sent me a beautiful bouquet of red carnations and baby breaths. I had called from Vern, Mary D, Juanita, Melton LaSalle, Sue B, and Jim. Also Jolie. Vi was here also Sally. She helped me make my bed. Ken and Esther’s farm case settled out of court after all these years Trust got only the 50 acres he bought in the first place years ago. Jolie called in evening.

70° and 38°. A nice sunny day. Jessie here to clean. She did my laundry. Vi here. Also Dorothy D. Sally here. Rita Williams moved in across hall from me. Jim on TV with the Road Dogs motorcycle club. 58° and 46°. Cloudy. Some rain. Vern and June here to take me to Dr LaPoint appointment at 1:30. She said I came close to having cardiac arrest at the hospital. I’m to continue on antibiotics twice a day. Vi here twice. Also Sally and Angie. I met my new neighbor Rita Williams across the hall.

Cloudy, cold and rainy. Vi, Sally, and Angie here. I walked out to Metcalf room today. I talked with Jim, Sue B, and Vivian M in evening. Debby nurse called my blood count down to ten again. Walter Sharp 80 years old died. He worked for Dexter Pitkin for years. He has no known relatives. His mother was Gladys.

A beautiful day. I gave myself Procrit shot. Next one is in three weeks. Big M store in Washington Street plaza opens today at 8 AM. Several from Centennial are greeters all day. Vi, Sally, Angie and Bertha here. Vern had laser on his right eye. I called them in evening. All went well with his laser.

64° and 49°. A nice day. Mostly sunny. Vi and Angie here. Vern called in evening. He and June are leaving for a weekend in Vermont tomorrow. Will be home Tuesday.

Mostly sunny all day. I went for coffee and donuts. Last one until fall. I watch the 10th Mountain Band on channel 8. They were so great. Very moving. Great singers. Jolie called in evening.

I didn’t go to church. Jim N brought my mail from church. Angie here. Also Vi and Jim N. Angie gave me rhubarb. Very good. I called Jim. He was in Pulaski. My cactus plant had a beautiful blossom open tonight. I have had this plan for many years. Night blooming cirrus.

66° and 47. A beautiful day. No rain here. Jim picked me up at noon and we went to Sonny’s for plants for cemetery. Got red geraniums, 6 @ $2.99. Very nice. We had lunch at Longways before going to cemetery. Ken and Esther had been there. Lidia brought me delicious macaroni for supper. Vi here. Also Sally. Angie here twice. Also Jim.
