76° and 45°. A great summer day. Vi walked over to hospital with me. I had blood work. Esther Taylor and her family came to see about her getting apartment here. Vern called in evening. They got home Tuesday from Vermont.

76° and 61°. Very warm today. Sunny. Jessie couldn’t come to clean. I washed clothes. I started milder antibiotic this morning. Vi, Sally, and Shirley M here. Julie B brought me a beef sub and cookies. Good. Dairy land Parade went by on Washington Street from the school to the Square. Lots of bands.

Raining in AM. Jessie here to clean. My appointment with Debbie Elliott. Vi went with me. We walked over in a hard rain. We used my umbrella I’ve had since I’ve lived here, 5 years, for the very first time. Vi was here. Also Angie. She gave me fresh strawberries. They want me to have a stress test.

72° and 54°. Partly cloudy but sunny in PM. An enjoyable Sunday. Vern and June came and picked Vi and I up and we went to church at Philadelphia. Rev. Jane Wagner’s last day of preaching there. So great to hear her again. It was so great to see everyone. 128 present at church. We ate lunch at the New Family Restaurant, the Quaker Snack Bar. It looks great. We stopped at Calcium cemetery. Plants look good. Vern and I got a few groceries at Big M.

92° and 59°. Very hot and humid. Robert and Cheryl Congdon got here about 11:30 AM. They brought Roger and Gloria Verbridge with them. It was great to see them. They all look great. We went to Club House Restaurant for lunch. Then to Sandy Hagan’s quilt store in Stateway Plaza. They brought 2 quarts of strawberries so we had shortcake before they left. Lyla called in evening. She sold her car today.

Still very hot and humid. I didn’t go to exercise class. Cheryl took me to see Dr. Onabokin. He fitted me for a pessary to hold my bowels and bladder in place. Vi and Angie here. I got nice letter, poem and picture from June. Vern is cleaning his office. I called Linda Beyette. Lots of thunder and lightning Adams Center way and south of here but only a little wind here. No rain.

Hot and humid. I went to exercise class only 12 out to it. Too hot. I washed 25 tops and pats. Only one washer working. I never saw 3 out at once before. Angie was here. Someone new is moving in today upstairs. Vern and June got their two white Rag Doll boy kittens today. Their picture is so cute.

82° and 48°. A great day. Sunny all day. I didn’t get to church. Vern and June came out and took me to Sackets harbor to get together for Audrey and Everett from Washington State. A great family time together and loads of delicious good made mostly by Ethel. Vi and Angie here. Juanita gave me wicker magazine basket. Ken not good. So much like Merrill was now. It’s so upsetting to see. Esther doesn’t seem to realize what’s ahead.

A little cooler. Terrorists blew up subway and bus in London, England. 43 killed and many injured. 3 young city girls, 12 and 13 years old, confess to setting bad fire at Black Clawson plant last weekend.

Vern called in evening. Also Jim. Jim and sixteen other bikers rode to Whiteface Mountain today. Dan, Robin and kids are camping in the Adirondacks this week. Jefferson county fair opened today for the 188th year.
