A New Year and a new diary. This is my 64th year. Vern and June gave me this one for Christmas as well as my other ones like this one. Juanita called in morning. Debby and her family got back to Indiana all okay. I watched Gov. Elliot Spitzer’s inauguration in Albany on TV. It was held outside because of warm day. Angie was here. Vernon called in evening.

40° and 30°. A just great sunny day. Like spring. I didn’t go to exercise. Vi here. Also Angie to check on me. I had phone call to make to Dr. LaPoint. My appointment with Dr. Matorise. Got report. Cheryl took me. Lady from Office of the Aging here in PM. I watched funeral for Ex President Ford on TV.

A nice day but a cool wind. I enrolled in y Cardiac Rehab at hospital today. Vi went over with me. Angie here. Also Vi, I got pictures from Jolie. Christmas pictures. I’m tired tonight.

Warm, sunny, windy. Rain in late evening. I had appointment with Dr. LaPoint. Cheryl took me. Angie here. I got nice letters from Sarah and Kristen and Kathy. Jolie called in evening. Shawn Michael is coming to see me tomorrow.

A cloudy day. Jolie said Shawn Michael would be here today but I didn’t see anything of them. Margaret Waters 96 of Philadelphia is dead. Philadelphia’s oldest resident. Vi here. Lidia here. Brought me cake.

Warm, rainy, windy. I went to coffee hour. Ken’s 87th birthday. Esther called from Florida. She has the bug. No word from Roberta. Shawn Michael, Shawn and Becky here in PN on way to North Carolina to take Shawn Michael home.

Not a bad day. Cloudy. Jolie called. Shawn Michael got home at 6 AM. He was sleeping. Madison couldn’t wait for him to wake up. I went to church out here. Lidia gave me pasta and meatballs for lunch. Good. Steve, Kathy and the girls here in PM. They brought supper with them. Had a nice visit.

48° and 32°. Raining and windy most of the day. A little sun now and then. I star ted my cardiac rehab at hospital today. I’m getting lame tonight. Betty Greco called. We had a nice visit. Sally here. Also Lidia. Sue B called and offered to take Vi and I to Margaret Walters’s funeral tomorrow. We decided not to go as there is so much going on. Our Centennial meeting with election of officers. Barb Conghlin President, Shirley Davis Vice President, Bea Everett Secretary, and Eva Gould Treasurer. Angie H had knee operation.

Snow south of city. Cloudy here. Some sun. The lawn out my living room window is green as summer. Vi here for Times. I watched Ground Hog video in evening. Good.

Windy and cloudy all day. 37° and 11°. Vi here for Times. I enjoyed reading my first year 1942 diary again this PM. It brought back so many memories. It was the year Jim was born. Jim here in evening. Brought me video of Christmas at Jolie’s. Very nice. Debby called from Indiana. Roberta wants Jim to go to Florida and get Ken. I watched Kindergarten cop in evening. Very good.

Cloudy and misty and a cold wind. Jessie here to clean. We went to the store. Vi here for paper. I watched video Ya Ya Sisterhood in evening. Good.

It snowed some during night. Cloudy all day. Esther called to say Ken would be home February 13th. He’s feeling much better and wants to come home. Vi here. Maryanne stopped in. Angie is doing good. She is in room 232 on second floor. I called Juanita.

Snowed some in morning. Bad snow storm predicted. I didn’t go to church. Jim brought me bulletin. Madison called me on her own cell phone. Also Jolie called. Vi here for paper. Donna Ellis spent the evening with me. Good to see her.

A terrible freezing rain day. I went to cardiac rehab in AM. Vi went with me. Terrible under foot walking. We ate lunch at hospital. We saw Angie H a few minutes. She had to leave for therapy. Lyla called in evening. I’m tired tonight

19° and 9°. A cold day. A little sun. Vi here. She brought me piece of pumpkin pie. Good. Sally was here in PM.

Very cold but sunny all day. I didn’t go to rehab because of the cold. Vi here for Times. Esther called to say Ken is real bad. I called Juanita. Also Jim.

Snowing hard in morning. I called Cheryl and t old her I wasn’t going to rehab. Too stormy. Vern and June called. June has a spot in her breast. Will have a biopsy Monday 29th at 9 AM. I talked with Lidia. Also Jim N. I’ve enjoyed Debby’s genealogy work all day. She does a great job.

27° and 8°. I didn’t go for coffee hour. Vi brought me a donut. I cleaned humidifier. Talked with Jim. Julie Beers gave me pizza for supper. Tasted good. Sally here in evening.

Not a bad day but cold. I didn’t go to church. I went to services in Metcalf room good turnout

32° and 7°. Snowing some in PM and evening. Vi here. Also Sally. Gail Gorman here. Brought VIP books and tickets. Roberta called from hospital. Her father-in-law back in there. She and her mother-in-law may spend night with me if it stormed too much for them to drive home.

Cold, sunny day. Vi here. Angie got home from hospital. I washed clothes in PM. “Sugar and Spice” group here to entertain us in evening led by Barbara Hoops, Med Schnauer’s sister. Very good. Coby Slate called. Also Philadelphia prayer chain. Don Briants mother died.

Snowing about all day. Jill here for lunch. She brought me Christmas presents from her and Patty. Patty has to have a biopsy on her breast on Thursday. Angie here. She’s coming good. Reba Williams woke us up at 2:30 AM on this hall by ringing her call button by laying on it. Eva Guyew here to pay VIP dues and turn in her raffle money. Esther, Dorothy and I went up to Vi’s to play Pedro in evening. A nice time. I called Juanita. Esther called me earlier. Ken not good.

17° and 5°. A nice day. Sunny but cold. I didn’t go to church. Vi here for Times. I made scalloped potatoes for lunch. Angie brought me pizza. The blizzard of 77 was 30 years ago. Mom was at our place in Philadelphia after getting out of the hospital after cancer operation at that time. She died in September. Vern called in evening. June goes for her biopsy at 9 AM tomorrow. Lyla called.

15° and -14°. Very cold all day. Some sun. Jessie here to clean. Vi here. Angie called.

Very cold in morning. Lots of snow in other places. Some here. I didn’t go to rehab. I had diarrhea in night. Had to change my bed sheets at 1 AM. I washed clothes. I haven’t felt good all day. Vi here. 800 soldiers returned to Fort Drum this afternoon from Afghanistan.

30° and 20°. Nice day. Partly sunny. Vi here in AM. Angie here in PM. I sent order to Blair’s. Also returned letter to St. Joseph’s hospital.

Ground hog day. He didn’t see his shadow. Terrible tornadoes in Florida. 14 people died. I went to rehab in PM. Vi went with me.

Snowed hard in AM. Some snow in afternoon also. I went to coffee hour in morning. I collected for VIP dining out card raffle in AM. Juanita called. Cayden has been visiting her since Wednesday. He doesn’t want to go home.

Snowed hard all day long. Roads closed. No unnecessary driving in Jefferson County. Lots of cars stranded. All schools cancelled. Catholic services here cancelled. Coby Slate called in PM. Vi and Angie here in PM. Super Bowl in Miami, Florida this evening. The Bears and Colts. It is raining there.

Very cold all day. Lots of snow south of us. Sally here for coffee in morning. Her picture was in Times walking in Washington Street yesterday. Everyone getting dug out today. Most schools still closed. I went to Centennial meeting in evening. Barb Coughlin’s first one. Hope not there.

Cold but sunny part of the day. Vi was here for paper. My appointment with Dr. LaPoint. Cheryl took me at 9 AM. Doctor increased my Lipitor. I collected for VIP raffle.

22° and -19°. Cold. No snow today here. Sunny. I didn’t go to rehab. Vi here. 62 inches of snow in Oswego. It has been snowing hard there all day. I talked with Jim. Lidia gave me delicious spaghetti and meatballs for supper. Angie here in evening. Philadelphia prayer chain. Nancy Ronas went to hospital by ambulance with chest pains.

22° and 10°. Cloudy day. Some sun. Oswego way is still getting lake effect snow. Jefferson County men have gone to Oswego to help them get dug out of snow. Vi, Angie, and Lidia here. I washed my dark slacks in PM. Good to have them all clean again. Jolie called in evening. Men have been here chopping ice off the roof. It is leaking into some apartments upstairs. 14 in all.

Sunny all day but cold. I went to cardiac rehab today. Philadelphia prayer chain. Betsy LeClair is at Raennes under the care of hospice now. Nancy Ronas had heart attack and had stents put in. Kevin Rudes, Nancy’s brother, to have an operation for cancer of the esophagus on Thursday. His father, Ken, died from same thing. I talked with Jim tonight. Also Vi. Angie was here.

Snowing hard at tie. A little sun. Redfield has 111 inches of snow. Jessie didn’t come. She will come next Friday. Vi here for Times. Esther called from Florida. She’s trying to get Ken into Mercy. She doesn’t plan to come back with him. She wants Jim to fly down and come home with him. Juanita called in evening.

Everything buried in snow this morning. I didn’t go to church. Angie here. Also Vi.

26° and 15°. Mostly sunny day. Vi and I went to cardiac rehab. Not bad walking today. Vi is my eyes. I couldn’t see to walk over there in the snow by myself. The sun on the snow makes it harder for me to see. Angie here in PM. Vi here for paper. Redfield has 146 inches of snow on the ground.

Partly cloudy. Cold. My eye appointment with Dr. Sanni. Cheryl took me. Angie here twice. Vern called in evening. June had her operation today. All went well. They didn’t find any cancer. I called Jim. He got to eye doctor yesterday. The folks up stairs with leaky ceilings have to move out for two or three weeks while they repair them.

Most everything closed. Snowing all day. Cold. The Centennial leading roof made the front page of the Times. I collected for VIP raffle. June called in evening to say Vernon went to hospital this PM for a blood clot in the back of his left leg above his knee. I called Jim. Jolie called to say Happy Valentine’s Day. Vi and Sally here.

Very cold. Sunny. Vi here for Times. They are moving in materials to repair upstairs apartments. Some folks have move out already. Jubilee Band played here in evening. Very nice old time music. Nice time. I called June. Jim and Walt went down and cleaned the snow off their house roof for them this PM. Vern still flat in bed.

Partly sunny. Jessie here to clean. We went to the store. The crew shoveled snow off roof on my end of the building. Vi here. Also Angie. Jim Nash brought my church mail.

26° and 18°. Snowing most of the day. I went to coffee hour. I cooled chicken today. Tasted good. I called June. Vern at St. Joseph’s hospital tonight. Had his catheterization to his lungs and filter installed in evening. I called Jim twice. Esther called. Ken pretty good. Linda is in North for a few days.

Snowed over night. I went to church services out here in PM. June called. Vern may come home today. Esther called. I talked with Roberta in PM. Holly is going to Florida and ply home with Ken in March. I talked with Jim a couple times. Vi here for Sunday paper.

Very cold. 21° and -35°. No mail today. Times was delivered. Jill’s birthday. Ida Banford here. Also Vi. Vern called in evening. He got home from hospital this PM. He feels good. Vi said Jack Meeks had a heart attack.
