Dawn McEtherin died today. Rebekah and PNG’s Christmas Party at Lodge, 6:30, covered dish supper. I just went to meeting. Diane had my name. I’ve had headache all day. Washed clothes. Got package ready to send. Got $10 from Dot. Minnie P. my Secret Pal.

Diary Entry for 12/13/1974

Friday the 13th. Sent first Christmas cards to Beulah H. and Aunt K. in Washington. Foggy all day. I took notes to Rose and stopped at Judy Paynes for coffee. We went to Mom’s in PM. Stopped at Jim and Carol McEtherin. Dawn looked so sweet. Benefit dance for Mike P.

Diary Entry for 12/16/1974

Jim, Patty, and Jolie and Daisy here in PM and for supper. Brought up lovely silver tray and server for our anniversary. Jim typed finance report for me. They decorated tree with help of 2 dogs & one cat. More fun. Jim brought me his typewriter. Vern’s called. He gets his job for 3 more years. Mrs. Cameron called.

Rev. Stanley Skinner, Pulaski, preached today. 82 there. We went to city in PM. Finished Christmas shopping. We went to Sunday School program with Eggleston’s in evening. Very good and church full. Merrill got clipper blades at Delles, $1 for sharpening.

We went to church. Rev. Skinner’s 2nd Sunday. 82 out. Cloudy but warm. Lisa was over to make out 4-H report. I sent years plan schedule in with it. We went to evening service. Jim McEtherin has flu so couldn’t come. Ruth, Ronnie and Carol went with us.
