Sent letter to Freddie in Viet Nam. Wrote Mom. Started cleaning Jim’s room out for Gary Ashley. I went to city for groceries. Jim was here for supper. Got Easter card from Jim and Pat. Jim brought his wash. I shortened summer coat. I called Mom. Her burn is better. Joe Medina very ill. I saw Dorothy H also Tenny Hanson and Mike.

Good Friday. Merrill put bird house up. Merrill washed car. He got hair cut. Aunt Maude called about tractor. I washed clothes and curtains. Did ironing. Called Pat in evening about having her mother come for Easter. A grand day. 60°

Rained all night but warm. Wrote Dot Medina. Patty, her Matron of Honor Elaine Phillips, and daughter came out. I met them at the church. We went to parsonage also. They had lunch here. Jim and Gary P came out on cycles in the rain. I washed dining room curtains in morning.

Easter Sunday. We went to church. I didn’t get to cantata in AM or breakfast. Patty’s mother, sister Vicki, her brother Steven, Patty and Jim were here for 3 PM dinner. Her father called in evening. Very nice day. Frogs hollering tonight for first.

Merrill went to Aunt Maude’s and bought Uncle Ray’s tractor and cultivators for $400. We went to city in PM. Took back canopy ends to change for white ones. a guy was here to look at Patty’s car.

Church Commission’s meeting. I was sick in evening with chills and fever so didn’t go. Baked cookies and cakes in PM. Cool wind today.

Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Have felt horrid all day. Very warm today 70°. Merrill drawed stones in barnyard.

Shower at church for Larry H fiancee, Carol Tabor. I didn’t feel up to going. Eleanor called from city. Pauline Roggie has been in hospital. Thunder and lightening today. Wesley Moronisato here about Pat’s car.

Rebekah’s District Meeting at Mills 6:30 PM. I went with Lois Ward. 60 present. Martha Pitts and Vondale Pike both nominated for DD. Martha won. Aunt Maude and I went to city in AM for groceries. Patty, Jim, and Gary here in PM. Pat and Jim here for supper. She sold her car, $250. Wesley came for it in evening.

Dad H died 9 years ago today. Mary Landon was here to cut out dress,. Larry Hutchinson and Carol Tabor married tonight at 7 PM. Vi and I went to wedding. Very small wedding. Clark family from Lorraine there, also one family from Dexter.

Beautiful warm day. We went to church. Went out to Bargain Center and Fays after church. We came home by Toby and Karen’s and saw Wade for first time. He is so nice. Almost one month old. Saw Joan and Gary M and kids there.

I got permanent at Harris Palmer’s $10. Over 70° today. Merrill started cleaning yards. Patty’s shower at Elaine Phillips 7:30. About 20 there. Nice party with lots of gifts. Merrill worked at yards.

Jim and Pat here for PM and supper. I raked on lawns all day. Merrill worked in PM. Very warm all day. 73° Had doors and windows open for first this spring. Debby was over in evening to work on her 4-H dress. Wrote Vern’s.

WSCS District Meeting at city 9:30 AM. I didn’t go. Marguerite took six. I stated painting porch. I had headache all day. Merrill went to city to see about bulk tank. Jim and Gary here on bikes. Debbie over in evening to sew.

Merrill made step by porch and put posts under canopy. I finished painting porch. Put furniture out there in evening. Rained in evening.

School out at 3:30 until April 25. Rained hard all day. Cold in evening. Used new step for first. Jim and Pat used it first when they came for supper. They brought cups and plates for reception. June called in morning about shower plans. Don Gehm has doctor’s appointment 28th.

Snow plow was over today. Snowed hard during the night. Roads very slippery. Did Jim’s wash and ironing. Mike Donny and Sandy Thomas married today.

Beautiful day. Ground still covered with snow. We went to church. Hutchinson’s leave for Washington DC today with girls club. Jim and Pat here for lunch. Toby, Karen, and Wade here in PM. Wade for first time. He is so nice.

PNG at Elsie’s I didn’t go. Pat and Jim came in evening. Eleanor called from city. I washed living room and bedroom curtains. Merrill made cement step. Wrote June. Washed clothes. Wrote Mom.

Merrill finished cement steps. It started raining in PM. Donna Hall here on Cancer drive. I ironed living room drapes. Merrill went to church Board Meeting about insurance.

It rained all night and about all day. I painted upstairs bathroom. Merrill put down molding on porch. Washed my hair. Rebekah’s. I went. We practiced drill.

I went to city for groceries. Also went to Westons and Stamp store. Got lace table cloth and butter dish. Merrill started building fence. His back is bothering him terrible. Roy Kuckle was here in evening.

Sun out all day and warmer. Merrill went to Philadelphia and Mills. Looked at bulk tank at Mills. I tried to rake yard but was too windy.

Jim got new 500 Suzuki yesterday. Jim, Patty, Gary and JoAnne here for lunch. Toby here in morning. Cloudy day. Gave Patty $5 toward postage for wedding invitations. Fast time starts today. Pat Eggleston’s opening dance, 9-3.

Warm day 82°. We went to church. Drove out to Mom’s in PM. Talked with Eleanor. Jim, Pat, Gary, JoAnne were there for dinner. Had been to Syracuse on bikes.

Cloudy and rainy all day. I washed clothes. Cathy here to sew. Merrill called Bisnett’s about bulk tank. He is coming out Wednesday. Merrill took shingles off end of barn. Howard and Evelyn were over in evening.

Got wedding invitation from Pat and Jim. John from Raymond’s Spec Inc. was here to fix porch door. Jim and Pat here for supper. They got their rings today. I painted porch railing. Did some of Jim’s wash in evening. Baked pies.

New Big M store opens at Philadelphia. White frost this morning. Also morning fog. Merrill cleaned Aunt Maude’s furnace. She gave him Uncle Ray’s caps. Cleaned and waxed floors. Man from Bisnett’s didn’t come. Jim and Pat had appointment with Dr. Roberts for blood test.
