-21° overnight. Watertown coldest record in the US. Clinic: Merrill blood pressure 128/78. Mine 148/98 and blood count 14. We stopped at Chase Manor. Folks are moving in today. Saw Thelma Scrimminger there moving in. Merrill helped Carl on tractor at his mother’s place. Tammy and Rocky Slate are moving in Horton’s trailer.

Diary Entry for 2/13/1984

Joel’s 8th birthday. Sent him card, letter, and $5.00. Sent light bill payment. Sent note to Vern’s. Great day in 50’s. Merrill fixed outside door. He went up to Horton’s trailer in AM. Went to Antwerp for stove pipe but Robbins hadn’t made it yet.

Cloudy but warm. In the 50’s. Almost 60°. Made donuts for first time in ages. Got 3 packages of free cheese. Water in cellar at parsonage and CEC. Merrill pumped it out. Marty over. Kathy’s car broke down on way to work. Flooding in a lot of places. We bought our phone today.
