Vern called. Communion. We went to Sunday School 43, and church 53. White frost last night. Sunny and warmer now. Mary J. Collin in accident coming home to stay. Jim bad. Wedding shower for Kim today. Jim and Joel here for supper on bike.

Raining off and on all day and evening. Thunder. We went to administrative Council meeting, 11 out. Made more plans on addition. Jim Collins in hospital again. Mary Kavanaugh had accident.

Sent Steve and Kathy and Kristen baby card. Sent benevolence money. Coudy and windy and colder.

Girls not here this morning. Rebekah’s Mother and Daughter covered dish supper. Rev. Carol (My daughter). She was guest speaker. 22 for dinner, 11 to lodge. Bea Hubbard in hospital.

Gilenda here all day. Nice day. Sue here to pick up Gilenda. Carl (Buck) Bates, 78 dead in evening. Rev. Carol left for Ohio for 2 weeks.

Dr. Kayani, 10:15. He can’t operate on my cataract. No sight left in left eye. Started me on pill, Neptazane. We had supper at Don’s. Donnie and Kayleigh there (10 months old today) I got shirt, blouse and white jacket at K-Mart. Got watch at Pharmhouse, $36.66.

I called down to Steve and Kathy’s. All sleeping but June. Robin there also. All fine. Washed clothes. We went for groceries. Merrill mowed lawns. Talked with Lyla. Juanita called in evening. Mark Draper, 18 hung himself. Bill found him in camp at 4:30 PM. I called Vern

We went to Sunday School 43 and church 47. I called Jim in morning. Jim, Joel, Jill, and Jolie here for dinner. They brought me cards and pink roses with balloons. Nice. Vern’s called in evening. Sunny and hot. Mother’s Day.

Cooks blacktopped their driveway. Great summer day. Donnie called about funeral. I called Debby. Patty called. Also Jolie.

Raining in AM. Brenda called in morning. We went to funeral home. Lots there. So sad. Vern and June came there. Lyla here in evening. Also Patty.

Patty 44 today. Mark’s funeral. A huge funeral. Most went to cemetery and then down to Bill and Brenda’s. Lyla went with us. A great summer day. Vern’s and Jim called in evening.

Hot, 85°. I washed clothes. We went for groceries. I froze first asparagus this year. Vern called about car insurance.

Merrill set out cabbage and tomato plants. Started raining right afterwards. Vern came after us. Got car plates changed over to Chevy Cavalier. They wouldn’t do it at city but got to Oswego in time to have it done there. Dan and Robin came for supper.

Robin graduates college. Party at Vern’s for her afterwards. Very nice. We got home at 4 PM with Chevy car. Had a bad rattle in it. Called Vern and June in evening.

We went to Sunday School 38, and church 55. Joyce preached. Very good. Merrill mowed side lawn.

Wrote Brenda’s. Insurance man called about Jim’s windshield and ice storm wires. Froze some asparagus. Merrill finished mowing lawns. Merrill planted more of garden.

Merrill took Cavalier to George’s. Dust shield rubbing against inside of brake roller. Merrill planted beans. Nice sunny day. I called Vern. Jim called in evening. He got district award of merit in Scouts Monday evening. He’s been Explorer’s advisor for 11 years.

Don Gehm’s 79th birthday. Rebekah’s. Vi and I on committee, angel food with strawberies and ice cream. 14 out. 1 guest. Jim Collins died about 6 PM.

Leah fell and broke wrist and hip last night. In House of the Good Samaritan Hospital. I took money over to Vivian’s for Collin’s. Merrill took cookies to Collins. 85° today. Lots of folks there. Visiting hours for Jim at Hart Funeral Home in city.

Jim Collins funeral. We went for groceries, 83°. Set out more tomato plants because the others froze. Rev. Carol home from vacation. Vivian here. Froze asparagus.

We went to Sunday School 44 and church 79. Children’s Day. Melissa Hodge baptized. Children sang. Refreshments after church. Nice. Joyce resigning as Sunday School Superintendent. Sunday School out for summer. Furnace smoked. Merrill cleaned chimney. Was full.

No school. Memorial Day. Cloudy and warm. We went to Mills and got red geraniums for cemetery. Set them out. Merrill mowed lawn. Kim Collins married today.

Cleaned dining room and laundry room. Merrill painted spots on car. Looks nice. Jim called in evening

Howard and Evelyn’s 39th anniversary. We cleaned kitchen, bath, and porch. Bill Zellar, 18 died of cancer.

We shampooed carpets all through down stairs. $6.00 for machine. Rained some.
