The cow died last night. Lights were out in evening. Helen, Mrs. Keichle, & Aunt Maude called. Got letter from Marg.

Cloudy day. Merrill went to Evans Mills to Lodge. Got letters from Aunt Mildred & Miss Baxter.

Got letter from Pauline. Card from Jessie Kesson. The men cleaned out drain.

PeeWee [Pekingese dog Bea & Merrill got as a wedding gift from people she worked for before she was married.] died at 11:45 today. Merrill buried her by granary. Cleaned & waxed floors.

Went out home for dinner. Bob went with us. Went down to Ellisburg also. Mr. & Mrs. Hagan were here. Lila called.

Washed clothes. Aunt Maude & Helen called. Vernon is sick tonight. I’m awfully tired tonight.

Ironed clothes. Rainy. Merrill got car bumper fixed. Got letter from Marg.

Quite cold. Went to Lodge at night. Merrill sent back paper for subsidy.

Warmer today. The men drawed logs to Kiechle’s to saw. Mr. Hagan was here. Merrill went to Gouverneur for last degree.

The men sowed first oats this year. Bob got me new toaster.

Bob & Vernon went to church. Uncle Ray was here. Uncle Berle, Aunt Maude, and Myrtle, Mary, Myrtle Vincent & Shirley were here for supper.

Sent letter to Mom & for bike for Vernon to Spiegels. Rainy. Talked with Mrs. Keichle, Helen & Aunt Maude. Merrill went to Lodge.

Washed clothes. Aunt Maude was over in evening. Wrote Pauline.

Did ironing. Went over to Aunt Maude’s in evening.

Painted kitchen. Carrie Dunn was here. Painted kitchen chairs & table. Merrill went to lodge at Alexandria Bay. Vernon’s Easter vacation started.

Went over town. Got boys new sweaters & Jim suit. Finished painting breakfast set. Got letter from Mom.

Went over to Antwerp. Florence, Earle and kids were here when we got home. Bob got me Easter plant.

Boys & I went to Sunrise service at church. Went to church. Went to Uncle Earle’s in PM. Vernon went out home with Marg and Roy.

85° today. Merrill has 25 3/4 acres of grain in. Went over town in evening and up to Lila’s.

Went over to Helen’s. Went to show in evening.Sent $10.00 to hospital & Dr. Roberts. Wrote to Vernon.
