The Quicks leave and the Barnes arrive. We saw the Quicks off. Barnes got here 1 PM. We helped at parsonage. UMW at Doris Haggerty’s. Marilyn and I on refreshments. I had devotions for Carol. 21 present. Mrs. Barnes went also. Claire Zufelt had a bad stroke. Lyla called.

Merrill, Carl, Randy, and Larry set up staging at church to install fans. Raining all day. Washed clothes. Got letter from Vern’s. Loaned my Typewriter to minister.

Diane Hanson and Ronnie Casler wedding, Brownville and Dexter. We went with Cheryl and Aunt Maude. A large wedding. Very nice. Rained about all day. Jim’s here while we were gone. Moved plants in from porches.

Dr. Roberts, 11 AM. Blood pressure, 138/90, blood count 11. He took me off blood pressure pills and Tylenol. We stopped at Samaritan Keep. Clara had eyes open. Roy and Arlene there. Had lunch with Beulah. Rained all day. Philadelphia installs Mill’s. Pres. Anwar Sadat of Egypt shot.

Merrill washed storm windows. Rained hard all day. My arthritis bad. Philadelphia installs Garland.

Merrill put on storm windows. Wrote Melba and Elmer. Washed clothes. We went for groceries. I washed kitchen curtains and windows. Merrill cleaned furnace pipes. Lorraine left hospital.

Called Dr. Roberts. Washed clothes. Washed dining room curtains. Merrill washed the windows. Had wood fire for first. Feels good.

Merrill put storm windows on parsonage. Took stuff to dump. Merrill pulled beets and carrots. Sun out all day for the first time in weeks. Cold wind. Made boiled dinner. Good.

Lyla Ashley’s birthday. Another nice day. Had frost last night. We went to church. Rev. Johnson preached. Car quit by Big M. Pin broke on shift lever. Jim Ashley fixed it. Jim, Pat, and kids here for supper. Jim put shocks in his car.

World Series starts tonight, 8 PM. Yankees and Dodgers. We canned 7 quarts of carrots. Got Blue Cross check for $21..

Cooked beets. Raining. My arms very sore and lame. Yankees won second game.

We went for groceries. Merrill and Boots went to Antwerp for belt for furnace blower, $3.98. Canned 7 quarts of beets and froze 4 packages. Still raining. Talked with Evelyn. Millicent has been in Bay Hospital for 2 weeks. Washed clothes.

Sent card, letter, and $5 to Steve. Dodgers won game. Sent Millicent Hale card in Bay Hospital. Raining as usual. We went to city for stuff for chimney, $115.08. Have to go after 24 blocks yet. I went to Stanley Party at Aunt Maude’s. 7 there. Church gets $75.

Nice day but cold. Merrill cleaned church. Rev. Barnes called in evening. Dodgers won game. Washed clothes. Merrill put door handle on back door. Latch won’t work.

Steve’s 17th birthday. Back on standard time. We went to church, 92 out. Jim, Pat, and kids here for supper. They brought us a gallon of cider. Rev. and Mrs. Barnes called. Mrs. Barnes gave children’s story today. Dodgers won game.

Raining. Merrill went to Carthage with Howard for shavings. He got hair cut at Philadelphia for first, $2, Senior citizen. Cleaned church. Fuel tank run dry at church. Merrill spent all PM working to get it going for Tammy Rones wedding rehearsal in evening. Blue Cross paid all my hospital bill, $7244.20.

Ground white with snow for first time this fall. They sanded roads. Jim’s here for PM and supper. Esther and Kay Taylor moving to Sackets this weekend. Merrill put up pipes and started fire in wood stove. First use of new chimney.

We went to church, 78 out. Tracy Robertson had service. very nice. We cooked pumpkin to freeze. Had enough for 11 pies from 1 pumpkin that Danny grew. Nice day.

Sent $8 check to Syracuse Pathology. Clara Zufelt, 88, died last night at Samaritan Keep. Carl Horton borrowed jack. Got notice from Cindy and Ethan. They had a baby boy, Benjamin Ethan, 7 pounds 2 ounces, born October 27. Sent his picture at 2 days old.

Friday the 13th. We went to Sackets. Took Jim’s ladder etc. home. Took stuff for Esther Taylor. Saw her new home. They run out of fuel oil at parsonage. We got groceries. I got letter from Gwen Dowell. Uncle Berl was moved to nursing home last monday, November 9th .

Sent Ken and Eleanor anniversary card and letter. Patty and kids here. Jim hunting. Merrill worked at Horton’s in AM. Made window in PM. Got bill from radiology. Owe $72. Len and Lindsey Griffin Myers have baby boy, Lucas.

We went to church. 82 out. I called Dorothy H and Carl Scee about Uncle Berl’s moving.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Aunt Maude, Kathy, Clay and Ray here. Ray is such a nice baby. My arthritis bad all day. Sent for car license. Paid Robbins, $9.15. Paid $72 radiology bill.
