Lorraine Hall and Kevin Pickets wedding. We went to church but not to the reception. Laura Payne sang. All very nice. Church full. Kathy and David Van Tassel have baby boy born today, 8 pounds and 13 ounces, Ray David. Lou Rudes had pace maker put in.

Had first sweet corn from garden. Everything flooded at Aunt Maude’s. Merrill went to church, 32 out. First time in 4 weeks. Jim, Pat, and kids here in PM awhile. My incision very sore today. George Belile in Carthage hospital for hernia operation.

Vern’s called. Elmer and Melba came about 2 PM. Stayed all night. Spent evening talking. They had been to cemetery. Talked with Gladys in evening.

Rained hard all day. Roof leaking over wall. Elmer and Melba left about 1:30. Cleared in evening. Jane Dingman rode her bike over in evening. Watertown flooded again.

Merrill went over town to bank and store. Washed clothes. Washed my hair. Got Blue Cross check, $17.83. Eunice Brown and son and wife at Aunt Maude’s. Talked with Eunice. My incision sore in evening.

Go to Vern’s in PM. Stopped at hospital to see Marg. She knew us. Has failed a lot. Cloudy day. Paid car insurance, $123 at Adams Center. Got to Vern’s about 2 PM. Merrill helped Vern put on roof.

9:30 AM appointment with Dr. Ikin, Syracuse. Vern and Steve took us. Everything fine. Stopped at Ken’s on way home. Got home at 4:30. Got Tylenol at Fays. Sure tired when I got home. Got letter from Uncle Berl.

Raining again . Merrill went for groceries. Very rainy all day. Washed clothes. Got upstairs beds made up. I’ve hurt all day from long ride yesterday.

Vern’s come. Got here about 3:30. Cooler. Rained in evening. Cactus has one blossom. Merrill went to church. Cheryl in charge. David at Boy Scout camp. Patty and Audrey called.

Vern’s and Steve went to Potsdam. Dan stayed here. He and Merrill got cedar lumber at Lanphere’s. Vern’ left about 6 PM. McKeever’s moved their new double home in evening. All the neighbors turned out to watch.

Vern and June’s 21st anniversary. Their Country Faire opens today at Minetto. Rainy. We went for groceries. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM for first.

Jim joined Air Force 19 years ago today. Loren killed in France 37 years ago. Baked cookies and cake. Merrill drove tractor at Horton’s in PM.

Legion weekend. Fire works in evening. We went to church, only 25 out. No company today. Wrote a letter to Cameron’s.

Dr. Roberts. All fine. Blood count 11.5, and blood pressure 120/82. Stopped to see Earl and Florence. Saw Marg. She didn’t respond to us. Went to Sackets for girls. Jim has got a lot done on house. I owe Dr. Ikin $640.

Clinic. I didn’t’ go. Merrill and girls took Aunt Maude to clinic. Jim’s 38th birthday. Girls sent him card. Gave him blanket. Rainy about all day.

No UMW until next week. Rained about all day. Washed clothes.

We went for groceries in morning. Cloudy day. Washed kids clothes. Rained in evening. Merrill cleaned church and put in new candles.

Got school tax, $201.86. Got hospital bill, $7244.20. Merrill and girls went to dump. Girls stopped and saw Tina B. Lou Rudes returned from Utica by ambulance.

MDA Telethon starts. Jim and Explorers work at it. We went to church, 35 there. Patty, Audrey, and Joel came after girls. Kenny, Brenda, Kim, and Jeff here in PM. Lou Rudes got home yesterday. We went over to Lyla and Jim’s new home in evening.

Labor Day. Watched Telethon all day. Merrill mowed lawns. Thunder storm in evening. Power off for 2 hours.

Merrill worked at Carl’s mother’s in PM. Rained hard most of PM. Power off again at 7 PM for half hour. Tree limb on wires at Gleesner’s farm.

Rebekah’s first meeting in Municipal building. Ten present to first meeting. Rained some in PM. Schools open. Washed clothes. Merrill worked at Carl’s mother’s in PM.

UMW at Vi’s. 20 present. Went for groceries. Rained hard all day. Merrill went to Horton’s but didn’t work.

Sent checks to Dr. Runge, Dr. Ikin, Blue Cross and Readers Digest. Called Dr. Roberts but he didn’t come to phone. Wrote Vern’s. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM. Got letters from Uncle Berl, and Melba. Cactus plant has 2 blossoms.

Raining in morning. Nice most of PM. Washed our bedding and clothes. Ray called about 2 PM. Marg bad. I drove to Horton’s and we went to hospital about 3 PM.

Church 11:15 again. Sunday School starts. Also Senior choir. 53 out to church. Merrill left hospital at 3 AM. Roy and I stayed all night. Merrill and I went to Sackets for supper. Didn’t stay at hospital for night. Roy and Arlene went home also.

Blood clinic at Legion. I have donors giving blood in my name, Ken Trand Jr.,[?] Bruce and Kathy Rosbrook. Cheryl called. Marg a little better. I’m to stay at hospital tomorrow.

Spent day at hospital with Roy. Marg breathing better. Merrill took me out and came after me. He helped Carl all day at Mills.

Marg died at 5:30 this morning. Arlene called. I called Doris, Marion, and Aunt Maude. We went to Don’s and Beulah’s. Roy, Arlene, Pauline and Garmon ordered flowers. They got everything done. I called Vern in evening.

Pastor Parish meeting Philadelphia, 8 PM. All members present. Quick’s are going to Little Falls, New York.

Frank brought first fuel oil @ $1.21. Marg’s funeral 1 PM. Piddocks. Lots of flowers and people. Rev. Carlson gave a nice service. Loren and Vera Strader only ones from Canada. We got home about 9 PM. We went to H&R Block on way about state tax.

Merrill put new element in water heater at parsonage. He mowed our lawns when he got home. I’m tired today. Sent Vern card, letter, and $5. Sent reservations for Diane’s wedding.

We went to church, 71 out. Rev Quick announced he is leaving Philadelphia October 1st. Goes to Little Falls. Jim’s and Audrey here for supper. Joel put oil in gas tank.

Vern’s 45th birthday. Washed clothes. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM. Sent $25 to Dr. Miriam for eye consultant [?].

Rabies clinic. Merrill took Boots up for shot. Lots of dogs and cats there. Raining.

Furnace blower isn’t working at parsonage. Raining hard all day. I went to nutrition dinner. Joyce Wood took my blood pressure, 148/98. I started back on blood pressure pills. Merrill fixed toilet at Horton’s. Pastor Parish meeting at Mills. Alan and Gl [?] Barnes to fill in preaching. Nice meeting.

Went to Agway for peas and cauliflower. Went to bank. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Wrote Uncle Berl and Olive Bowman. Sent $624 for anesthesia bill. Merrill called Robbins again.

Sent school tax $201.86. Nice day for a change. Merrill worked at Horton’s. We went for groceries at noon. Joyce Percell here selling calendars. Carl Scee called. He didn’t go to Florida as he had slight stroke the night before he was to leave.

Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Cloudy and rainy. I washed clothes. Made cake and cupcakes. My arms are very sore today. Sent money, $7.98 for CBC test.
