Iron shot with Glenda. Washed breakfast room. Merrill made screen for end widow in there. Nice day.

Glenda has D&C. Merrill got window open. Put hinges on it. We went for groceries. Merrill washed kitchen wood work. Hurt my arms too much to do it.

Nice day but cool wind. Patty, Jill and Joel came out for day. Jim and Jolie at Portaferry for day. Merrill put Jill’s hot wheels together. My arms bad all day and evening. Got letter from Uncle Berl.

Nice day, 60’s. Merrill went to church. I didn’t go. Too sore and lame. Rev. Quick fell and hurt his ankle so Nancy had service, 74 out. Linda over in PM for coffee. Washed her car over here.

Beautiful summer day, 76°. Merrill painted front porch floor and front and back steps. Washed clothes. Merrill worked garden again. Lots of folks outside in shorts.

Mother Daughter Banquet at Legion. Patty and kids came out to it. About 90 there plus men who helped. Slides on Holy Land. Carl Scee here for lunch. Went for groceries. Called Dr. Roberts. Glenda gave me iron shot. Larry and Joanne Neville’s 15th anniversary. Got invited to Marie Gleason’s wedding.

Merrill mowed lawns for first time this spring. Nice day, 60°. I’m so lame today. Boots broke his collar. I made it for him years ago.

Merrill put new window in upstairs attic. He made it. Lumber cost $18. Dick Matzell [?] run over Eastham’s dog. He buried it on Fort Drum for them. One of B. Drakes white poodles died today.

Mother’s day. We went to church, 77 out. Then went to Jim’s for turkey dinner. Jim and Pat’s 12th anniversary. Mrs. Puffer there also. We gave them lace table cloth. They gave me card, gold chain, and earrings. Mrs. Puffer rode back to city with us. Stopped to see Marg. Vern called in evening.

Gehm’s fly to Rochester. Merrill took car to garage for new starter and water pump. Got letter from Melba. Cleaned dining room woodwork and curtains. Barbara Delles’ father, Ray Hilagan, 85, died today.

Got car home. Cost $139.51 for starter and water pump, oil change, labor and tax. Rainy all day. Glenda gave me iron shot. She has new car. They also have a new filly. Glenda said Jim went to emergency room with sinus problems.

Colder. Gave myself B-12 shot. Eastham’s have new black puppy. Rebekah’s, I didn’t go. Too lame and sore. Pope John Paul II shot and injured in the Vatican. 61 years old. Also a lady from Buffalo New york.

Nice day. Went for groceries. Got 2 red geraniums @ 99¢ for cemetery. Also cabbage plants. Sent card, note and $5 to Patty. Washed clothes. We cleaned living room. Merrill washed woodwork. I did curtains. Changed furniture around.

Rained with thunder during night. My arms bad today. Merrill washed windows in living room. I washed clothes and bedding and chair throws. Cloudy but warm, 70° FFA Supper.

Armed Forces Day. Rained all day long.

Sunday School had church service. Just a great service, 107 at church. Aunt Maude went to Syracuse to see her sister. Jim’s here for supper. He is feeling better.

Still cold. John Hockey, 55, drowned yesterday at Ogdensburg. Talked with Gladys twice. Gloria Verbridge, Canandagua, Sandy, Rhonda, and Pat Fagan here in evening. Merrill mowed lawns.

Merrill planted first of garden. He got hair cut at Theresa. Glenda gave me iron shot. Wrote Vern’s. Paro’s got new riding lawn mower. Borrowed our push one yesterday.

Nice day. Merrill planted more of garden. Frost last night. I wrote Elmer’s. Called Pilon Monument about lettering, $45. Got letter from June.

Merrill set out tomato and cabbage plants. Jewelry party at CEC but I didn’t go. My arthritis real bad all day.

Sent check to Times, $13.85 for 10 weeks. No school today or Monday. We went for groceries. Stopped at parsonage. A bird fell through their bedroom ceiling where plaster came off. Glenda gave me shot, $10.

Nice day. Merrill went to dump. Washed car. Washed clothes. Sat in sun most of PM.

We went to Vern and June’s buffet dinner for Don and Bea Gehm. Very nice. 17 there. We got home at 9:30. Stopped at cemetery on way with red geraniums and glad bulbs.

Memorial Day, 85°. A lazy day. Wrote Uncle Berl. No mail or Times today. Rained in PM and evening.

Merrill mowed lawns, 80°. Called Dr. Roberts for appointment. Wrote Vern’s.

We went to city. Shopped. Saw Marg. She’s about the same. Roy there. We got ceiling tile for drop ceiling for parsonage bedroom, $65. I went to Rebekah’s. Rebekah’s are moving to Municipal building in September.

Went for groceries. Very sore and lame today. Not much work done.

Merrill and Bill M started bedroom drop ceiling at parsonage. I washed clothes most of day. Glenda gave me shot.

Raining all day. Merrill and Bill finished bedroom ceiling at parsonage. Jim, Pat, Jill and Joel here for supper. Jolie stayed with Kathryn. Marg called me. A nice surprise that she is feeling so much better. Gloria Ward married at Dawn and Ben’s. Got water bill, $70.

We went to church, 65 out. Only 49 last Sunday. Had short Board meeting about early church. Rebekah’s storing stuff in CEC attic and having Sunday night service. Had first one in evening. We went. Aunt Maude went also.

Dr. Roberts. I’m to go to Upstate soon. He stopped iron shots for awhile. had lunch at Ken’s. Marg almost died last night from sugar shock. Jim speaks at Indian River High School at 1 PM. We spent most of PM at hospital. Had iron lab test. Art and Doris here in evening.

Baked 3 pies, cup cakes, and cake. Gave Glenda 6 cupcakes. Paid her $5. She’s not to come for awhile to give me shots. Merrill mowed lawns. Nice day. I feel pretty good today.

Aunt Maude and I went to clinic. Blood count 11.75. Blood pressure 140/82. Got letter from Pilon Monument. Cost $45 for “1981” on stone.

Merrill cleaned church and changed candles. We went for groceries. UMW at Center. 11 out. Rainy. Anniversary party at Theresa Rebekah Lodge. Got blue Cross check for $27.44.

Called Pilon Monument to put date on Mother’s stone. Washed clothes. We ordered load of wood, $200. Vern called from city. Was up alone to see Dr. Scanlon. McKeever’s moved their trailer in evening.

Elmer and Rosie’s 27th anniversary. Marie Gleason and Jeff Ambrose wedding. We went. All very beautiful. A large wedding. We went to hospital to see Marg. She had another sugar spell. Not good. Fireman’s Field Days and Legion Convention. We didn’t go.

We went to church, 79 out. Communion. Audrey Puffer, Jim, Pat, and kids here for supper. George Peterson from Canada stopped by. Went to Uncle Len’s. Was on his motorcycle. They fixed telephone.

Dr. Scanlon at 10:30, $25. Everything OK. We went to see Marg. She is feeling better. She went to lounge in wheel chair with us. Pauline and Garmon there. They are in new home at Watson.

Merrill mowed lawns. I washed clothes.

B-12 shot. Merrill worked on feeder box at Horton’s. Minister called. The door glass is broken at CEC. I went to Lodge in evening. Exchange of collars from Theresa Lodge. 12 present. 7 from Philadelphia.

Linda Belile left for Kentucky for 2 weeks. Merrill finished wagon box at Horton’s. Took out door window at CEC. Have to get glass at city. Costs over $20. We went for groceries in PM. Dr. Runge’s office called. Appointment July 1.

Patrick Fagan’s 9th birthday. Robin Verbridge there also. We went up for cake and ice cream. Washed clothes. Merrill worked in garden. Rained in PM

Merrill put glass in door at CEC. Horton’s pain for it, $23. Merrill cleaned church. went to dump. I Washed Merrill’s clothes. My arms ache terrible today.

Flag Day. Raining. We went to church, 93 out. Four graduates honored in service.

Very hot and muggy. 90’s. Had first radishes and strawberries from garden.

Still hot and humid. Merrill helped Belile’s with pool. I helped too.

Nice day. Merrill went to Theresa. Transferred bank account to Philadelphia. He made window screens for Horton’s. Patty called. Belile’s pool half full.
