Rained all day, off and on. Dan and I packed dishes. Merrill cleaned out desk. John wheeler, 58, died in Florida on June 10th. Risdale’s here in evening a few minutes. Went to look at cows.

Cooler. Marilyn gave me B-12 shot. Merrill finished lawn at new house. Called June. Giles made mistake on purchase offer. Got groceries. Dan got tank model at craft shop. Risdale’s here. They signed purchase offer for farm we received today. Called Giles and Palumbo.

John Wheeler’s funeral. June R took out signed purchase offers to bank and Giles. We took Danny home. Had supper with them. Got home at 10:30. I went to Dr. Roberts. He wants me to take blood pressure pills but only half of one a day.

Howard and Evelyn had party for us. A lovely party. 30 there. They gave us a bathroom set and $28 in money. So good to have all our neighbors together. Packed books. Donna Hall’s 29th birthday. I started 1/2 blood pressure pills.

Today would have been Mom’s 86th birthday. Tired today. Merrill went to auction with Howard. Also cut brush. Jim’s here in PM and for supper. Merrill and Jim worked in garden at Philadelphia. Risdale’s here in evening.

Cloudy day. I didn’t take Blood Pressure pills today. Had cramps last night. We went to church. They had reception for graduates. Risdale’s here to build fence.

Got letter from Uncle Berl. Has been in hospital, Hiatal hernia. I went to Theresa to have my teeth cleaned, $6. Did some packing. Howard got buzz saw. Raining today. PNG’s went to Stockade in Theresa for supper. Only 9 went. I rode with Vi, Leah drove also.

Kessel’s 62nd birthday. Giles called. Hopes to have closing this week. I did more packing. Merrill took paper to church for paper drive. Risdale’s here in evening. Marg called in evening. Don is at Bill’s helping saw lumber and build on his barn.

Raining. Wrote Uncle Berl. Got Guens letter. Wrong zip code. We went to city. I got new shoes at Coryson’s. $22. Had metatarsal arch supports put in them, $2.50. Got two blouses. Got gifts for Keitha and Tristan. Wrote party thank you cards in evening. Risdale’s here in evening.

Sent thank you’s for party. Merrill took Hall’s thank you and box of candy. I washed a lot of clothes, bedding etc. Merrill mowed lawns here. He didn’t feel good in morning. Risdale’s here in evening. June R here for inspector in PM.

I did more packing. Merrill mowed part of lawn at Philadelphia. We went up in evening and worked some in garden. Got groceries. Graduation, Lorraine and Marie graduated. Marg called in morning to say Eleanor’s father died yesterday, AM. Cloudy day.

Sent June card, letter and $5. Charles Jacob’s funeral. We didn’t go. Sent card, note and $10 check. We planted more cucumbers at Philadelphia. Risdale’s here working in PM. Washed bedding. A beautiful day. Texas cactus had a blossom in evening.

We went to church. Jim’s here in PM and supper. Had short cake. Got berries from Mary, @.99. Risdale’s here in PM. We went out to Don’s in evening. They are haying. All are well. Jim’s back was bothering him.

June’s 40th birthday. Cloudy all day. Merrill went with Risdale’s and Joe Ponzi to look at cows at Cronks, Dry Hill. I packed bathroom stuff. Merrill has laryngitis.

They brought Risdale’s cows, 21 and 2 calves. $14,575. Merrill worked in Philadelphia garden. He brought home radishes from it. June R called 3 times. Sent Merrill’s accident insurance, $30.

Risdale’s first full day of farming. Wrote Marg. Merrill mowed lawns here. A beautiful day. They picked up milk, 756 pounds. I washed clothes. We went to Philadelphia in evening for groceries. Got Agway check. Stock interest, $2.25.

Church starts at 9:30 AM, 50 out. Another beautiful day. Jim, Pat and kids here for supper. Jolie not feeling good. Sore throat. Glenn mowed first hay across from house.

Merrill got a $11.30 increase in Social Security check. Medicare went up 50 cents. Merrill took water buckets back to Agway and got better ones. Got invited to Nora LaMica’s wedding. Glenn mowed more hay. Hot in PM. I called Vern’s in evening.

Very hot but nice. Vince Murphy took gas tank back. They raked and drawed hay. Over 1000 bales in barn. I called Giles. June called her lawyers office at city. Merrill went to Philadelphia with Howard.

Gloria Collins called. Cold today. They mowed raked and drawed 3 load of hay. I washed clothes. I’m real lame today.

Marilyn and boys stopped in on way to Mary’s. Ruth Eggleston called in evening. Today is her birthday. Betty Haggerty called her.

Don and Juanita’s 38th anniversary. They drawed some hay. We went over to Art and Doris Haggerty’s to see Uncle Len’s. Bob and Abby there also. Nice day. I didn’t get much sleep. Rained some during night.

Hot day. They drawed one load of hay when Glen got home. Mary called. Marilyn went into Mercy hospital. She has kidney stone. Sharon has kids. I’m not so lame but my side hurts.

Hot and humid. Carmon Palumbo stopped by. Got letter from Vern’s yesterday. Giles called. Rabjeck has found a line missing on our farm deed.

Very hot and humid, 93°. June R called her lawyer’s office. The Marcellus family moved out of Pat’s place. I was sick from 3 AM Intestinal.

Nora Lamica, and Robert Hamilton wedding, Antwerp, 7:30. We didn’t go. Merrill helped Glenn draw hay when he got home from work. Merrill raked it. Called Giles. June R talked with Rabjeck’s. I went for groceries. Very hot and humid. Marilyn P had kidney stones operation.

We took Gloria, Alison, and Ginger to Fair with exhibits. Took Payne’s abstract to Giles. Judy P called to say Nancy Maloy died yesterday. I went to Administrative Board meeting. Merrill helped Glenn draw hay. Knox cleaned septic tank, $37.45.

Don’s 55th birthday. Got car insurance, $158. Girls and I went to Glenda W for B-12 shot and she took my blood pressure. Stopped at house and picked beans. I called Dr. Roberts but didn’t get him. We went to Fair. Tommy James and Southern Gentlemen. Good show.

Cloudy, rainy, and windy. Merrill worked in garden. June R and girls went to Fair. Dr. Roberts called. Wants to see me.

Renewed Town and Country, $3. Wrote Angie. I called Giles at Mills. Merrill raked hay. He and June baled one load. Glenn mowed hay in evening.

Patty called. Vern has been appointed Dean. Raining about all day. I baked cookies and pumpkin pie. They couldn’t hay it. We went to “Welcome Newcomers” covered dish supper and dance at Legion. Hank Schell and Royal played. Also Elaine and Lou. Sent order for memorial stand and book.

Jim leaves for Albany police school, 5 days. We went to Sackets after church. Took down string beans. Had lunch. We went to Don’s. Ken’s there also. Had supper at Don’s. Olive and Elgin visited Orv’s, Ken’s and Don’s. Mrs. Camon [?] and her brother, Orley Goodman played piano and musical saw.

Merrill, June R, and girls got 1 load of hay. It started raining about 4:30. Part of load got wet. I cleaned kitchen cupboards. Called Dr. Roberts. Risdale’s lawyer called. Closing may be Thursday.
