Joel started walking alone today. Patty called. Jim not home yet. Went to work last Friday at 4 AM. UMW canceled. Merrill shoveled out scoop. Cleaned driveway. Hall’s milk went today for first since Wednesday. Farmers plowed road, Got gallon of milk from Halls.

IOOF installation at Theresa was postponed. County nurse called. Merrill and I went to Philadelphia to get permission to go get B-12 shot at Marilyn’s. Got mail and groceries. Sent letter to Ken’s. Merrill plowed out mail box. I took pictures of snow.

Thursday. Mail went for first since last Friday. Antwerp plows opened rest of our road. Merrill went to Philadelphia. Wrote Bowman’s. Stormy again in PM. County driving ban back on at 9 PM. Called Patty. Jim got home Tuesday and Wednesday. Mail went today.

Down to zero early in AM but a nice day. We went to Philadelphia for groceries. Merrill shoveled minister’s garage door. I cleaned refrigerator at church and unplugged it. Merrill set church hot water heater back to 148°, was 165°

Cold in morning. Merrill went to Sunday School and church. 55 out. They started drive for insulation. Jim, Pat, and kids here for dinner. Jim out of work with sore throat. Called Don, Bowman’s called. Olive in hospital, heart. Nice today. Donnie Alton here. Wants to rent barn. Got letter from Ken’s. Nurse Wood here.

Cloudy. We went to city. Got Mom box of bags, $20.15, first ones. Merrill stayed with Aunt Maude. Ate dinner with her. Lodge at Marguerites but I didn’t go. Looked at insulation at Nichols for church.

Edna Hockey called to say Aunt Cora Cross died last night. Gladys Lamon called also. Called Pauline Cornish, Also Vern’s. Merrill ordered insulation for church, $329.30 at Nichols. We went out to Mom’s. What high snow banks.

Jill’s 2nd birthday. Jim’s here for supper. Aunt Cora Cross funeral at Ogdensburg. We went. Also Jim. Mom stayed at Aunt Maude’s. Cheryl came after her. Cloudy day but nice. We stopped at Edna’s on way home.

Mom’s appointment with Dr. Myerdericks, 2:30. She has to go back into hospital for corrective operation when they have a bed. Got catheter tube for Mom at Bolton’s. Got groceries at Philadelphia. Raining in evening. Good to hear rain again.

Beautiful day. Vern, June and boys came about 11 AM. Complete with dinner. Left about 4 PM. So good to see them. Merrill cleaned church with cleaner. County nurse here. Gave Mom irrigation. Took my blood pressure, 139 over 40. Vern’s gave me large print Bible.

We took Mom to hospital at 2 PM. Stopped at Bill and Brenda’s on way. Called Aunt Keitha. We went to Jim and Patty’s for supper. He just got home from Albany. Marie here to sew while I was gone. Real Estate agent and insurance man here.

Had muffler and tail pipe put on car at Cole Muffler, $62.99. Went to hospital to see Mom. She went to operating room at 10:30. Had local. She wanted to come home. Marie here to sew.

Sent Income Tax, SS, $62.67. Gas tax, $22.02. Raining. Wrote Vern’s. Mom got home from hospital at 2 PM. Got eye drops and iron pills at Fays. Called Dr. Roberts. World Day of Prayer at Mills. I didn’t go. Lorraine here in evening.

Pat and Ruth’s 48th anniversary. 4-H dress evaluation at city. Merrill cut some wood but it is too green to burn. I made cake. Washed clothes. Lorraine, Marie, Alison, Laura and Tessie to 4-H. Wrote Don’s. Got letter from them. Also Gladys Lamon.

Merrill went to Sunday School and church. We didn’t go as it was slippery under foot. Aunt Maude called. Fellow here to look at heifer. Alice Flaherty is at her sister’s in Potsdam.

Beautiful day, 55°. Merrill went to Fort Drum. He called Syracuse. Nurse here. Brought 3 2 in bags @1.20, and 3 free 2 1/2 in from hospital. Washed my hair. Got letter from Mrs. Beardsley. Merrill cut wood.

Dr. Roberts, 1:30 PM. We went up to Mom’s. Had dinner at Ken’s. Marg, Ray and Pauline and Garmon there also. Roberta, Bill and Luke in PM. I went to Pulaski Clinic. They took blood tests. $15 charge. Dave J here in evening. Ordered apples, $6.65. Beautiful warm day.

4-H here, 9 here. Foods lessons for each group. Merrill got paid for heifer, $500. Coming after her Saturday or Sunday. Another beautiful day. Merrill cut wood. Boots and I got groceries at Philadelphia. Dogs in Jefferson County must be tied.

Mom’s appointment with Dr. Myerdericks, 1:30. Everything OK. We ate dinner with Aunt Keitha and Marion. Aunt Keitha not as good this week. We took Mom home to stay. Got letter from Uncle Berl. Lettie fell and is in hospital. Martha Meeks had operation, tumor on pancreas.

Merrill got load of wood. Snowing. We got groceries. Vern’s got here about 6 PM. Mrs. Cameron called. Invited us for dinner on Merrill’s birthday. Vern’s brought Merrill cake and digital alarm clock.
