Cloudy, windy day. Warm up to 63°. We went for groceries in morning. They have cut our beautiful old trees in church lawn that have become rotted. It looks so different. They will plant the trees back they had to remove. Three young men from the church of Latter Day Saints called on people on our street. Church roast beef supper 5 PM

Warm in morning but turned cold fast. Very windy. Snowed in PM. Lots of damage from winds. Power off etc. I washed clothes. We didn’t take the trash (2 bags) it was too rainy and windy. 60 MPH winds. Merrill up all night. Jim called at noon. He’s going to work tomorrow (Sunday) to replace taking off Friday to take Sue to Syracuse. Jim was on 6 PM news advising folks about the dangers from the wind damage. I made a tuna noodle casserole and roasted a roast of beef for supper.. A chipmunk got into the back room and ate D-Con rat poison.

Sunny in AM cold 10°. Cloudy and snow flurries in PM 30° high. We went to church. Good to be there. Good to visit with folks. 72 out. Sunday School kids sang. Sunday School doing great. Sheri Purcell superintendant. Dan’s 30th birthday. I called Ken and Esther in AM. Nice visit with them. Jolie called in evening. Zack’s father called her. Zack may transfer to Georgia or Washington State. Fort Lewis when he returns from Egypt. Margaret K called in evening.

A little snow over night. Some sunshine. Windy 23° high. I washed Merrill’s dark clothes. Vi called in AM. Good to talk with her. I miss her. Martha goes to Syracuse once a week for chemo treatment. She’s doing fine. Bill about the same. Merrill vacuumed carpets. It didn’t get done last Saturday.

0° this morning. Sunny 21° high. Jim called in PM. Joel called him last night. Joel is working at the restaurant and the home repair job. Jim got an answering machine for his home phone. Jim saw Fran and Mickey Soluri in bank. Fran recognized him.

Sunny 40°. I called Philadelphia clinic to make appointment for Merrill. Watertown city police to have a police room on square to be more available to the people. Jim was on local news again.

Raining. Merrill’s appointment with Dr. Hinman, blood test. Dr. Mike treated sore on Merrill’s nose and face. Infected. Jill came out to get prescriptions. Good to see her. She and Jim are having a church renewal vows wedding May 17th. Jim brought our medicines from drup store after his Explorer meeting. Vern called in evening. We talked for an hour. Gloria V called. She and Roger are coming tomorrow.

Cloudy. Merrill had a real bad night. He didn’t sleep more than two hours. I didn’t get much either. Merrill’s left hearing aid not working. Gloria and Roger Verbridge here in AM and PM until 2:30. They took us out to eat to Philadelphia Restaurant. A nice lunch and a great visit. Calvin and Dolly Congdon have sold their home and are living with their son for awhile.

Cloudy some rain. 48° high. We took garbage. I washed clothes. Lyla here in PM. She will take us out to Day Care at Genesis when we want to go. Lyla says her son Gary comes from Missouri abou every week and trucks back a load of cattle to sell there. His son Randy lives with him there. Randy graduates from high school there in May. Jim called from cabin in evening. Phone connection bad.

Warmer. Cloudy day. 55° high in AM. We went to church. 74 there. Communion. Lazy day. No company.

Cloudy a little sun 32° cold. I sent some checks to pay bills. Agway, the cable and Merrill’s Syracuse tests. I washed Merrill’s everyday clothes. I’m tired today. I watched move “Journey of the Heart” until it ended at 11 PM I didn’t get much sleep as Merrill was up most of the night. I received notice that my Medicaid visits have been extended to Dr/clinic 10, Pharmacy 24 and lab 10.

Cloudy. Colder 36° Damp. I called Genesis Day Care. Merrill will go out Thursday at 9:30 AM. I wrote Debby. I talked with Lyla. She will take us to Genesis Day Care Thursday. I called hearing aid place. They will see Merrill at 3:30 PM. Medical Center nurse called. Merrill’s blood report some improved. To have another blood test in four weeks.

Another cloudy day. Jim called at noon. He will all back later. I called Lyla. I talked with Vi. I washed Merrill’s clothes. Jim called from Sackets in evening.

Lots of snow this morning 34° high. Lots of schools closed or delayed. Indian River closed. Storm hit wide area. St. Lawrence County bad. I cancelled Merrill’s Day Care. Don not coming in either. Lyla and Jim called. Merrill had a real good night. Best in ages. So did I. Nice in afternoon. Sun out bright. Merrill shoveled snow. Also cleaned floors. I mended some of Merrill’s clothes. I called Don Currier to order our church roast beef suppers. Read bad accident on NY State Thruway. 7 tractor trailers and 19 cars. One person killed, an exchange student from Taiwan.

Nice day after the storm. Sunny. Cold wind 15° high. Merrill got hair cut. We got groceries. Church roast beef supper @5.75. Melody Jones brought us two dinners. Good as usual.

Snowing sunny in PM. Only up to 24° I washed clothes. White ones. Merrill didn’t sleep much last night. Jim called in PM from work. Bill H cleaned our driveway.

-10° morning. 30° high. Cold windy. We didn’t go to church. They said they only had 30 out. They made $500 something on supper.

Stormy during night. Wind, hail, snow, and ice. Warmed up during day. 37° high. Jim and Sue here in PM. Jim put safety chain on back door to keep Merrill in house. I talked with Lyla, Bonnie, and Watertown hearing center. I called Vern about tax refund blank. He called back after talking with tax folks.

Merrill’s first day at day care. Snowing this morning. It started in night. Sun out at supper time. Lyla didn’t want to drive into city so Jim came after us. Merrill’s first day at day care. He liked it lots. They have a great staff. They have two cats as pets. Jim took day off so I kept him busy. We went shopping for clothes for Merrill at mall, but couldn’t find his kind. Got him 2 pair of pants 2 shirts, underwear at Apex store. Got eye drops at Pharmhouse. Got light bulbs. We ate lunch at Choppies. Merrill came home and shoveled snow. Bill plowed driveway. Merrill got his hearing aids cleaned at ear center. Shawn Michael called 911 to talk to “pa” He knows 911 also rings into Jim’s office at police station so he wanted to talk to his grandfather. Lyla called.

Sunny. Cold in morning. Merrill had a good night. So did I. He slept all forenoon. I talked with Vi. Bill has been move to the Madonna Home. I washed Merrill’s clothes. I sent for 1000 calcium pills. Shirley Lewis called. Debby called her at midnight last night. Was 9:00 PM in Colorado. Jim called in evening. Also Helen Keichle and Eleanor H. Lyla called in morning. Clark and Vivian got home from Florida this PM about 2:00 PM. Winter storm warnings for tonight and tomorrow. I called Trises in evening. They were robbed of money while sleeping. Someone cut window screens and took Clark’s pants and Vi’s purse to living room and took out money.

Very stormy. All schools closed. Snowing sleeting and raining 41° high. Merrill got out of the house on me at 4:30 AM. He went down to Boschocks and got Bob out of bed. I called Jim and he called the state police. Merrill came home on his own. He wouldn’t let Bob bring him. He was gone a half hour. It was his first time of taking off somewhere. I talked with Bob B. Jim called at noon. Bill H plowed our driveway. Merrill shoveled snow.

Windy, cold but sunny. Up to 25° Jim called in morning. I washed clothes. Merrill got garage doors open. They were frozen shut on the bottom. I made out real estate tax refund blanks.

2° at 7 AM. Beautiful sunny day. We went to church. 61 out. Vivian was over. Brought us 2 grapefruit from their tree in yard in Florida. Vern called in PM. Jim called at suppertime from the mall. Sue was working today.

Cloudy day. Cold wind. Merrill had bad night. He got both doors unlocked. Lyla called. Also Alice Flaherty. Vivian called to say Clark had to go to city at 8 PM. Bonnie called to say she may have rides into city for Merrill. Jim would bring him home. Jolie called in evening. She finally got her huge telephone bill paid off. Shawn Michael is going to pre school Tests show he is very intelligent. Sent tax refund. $104.00

Don there today. Bill wasn’t there yet. Lyla and I went to see Aunt Maude. She was having a good day. Good to see her, also Don. Lyla and I ate lunch at Philadelphia restaurant. Jim brought Merrill home at 4 PM from day care. Jim got 2 padlocks for door chains. I made cake with maple frosting. Wayne Huntress got elected to his (?)th year as village mayor.

Cold in morning. 12° but sunny up to 32° in PM. I washed Merrill’s work clothes. I called Glenn Salisbury about taking Merrill to city tomorrow. Lyla called in PM. Jim called on his way home at 7:15 PM

Nice day, sunny 30°. Glenn Salisbury and Marion Hudalson and I took Merrill to day care. They wouldn’t take any pay. I talked with Vi. Bill fell again and cut his face. I washed clothes. Dusted furniture. Jim brought Merrill home. Jim here for supper. Merrill and Dan and others on evening news. Day care holding their first support meeting tonight 7-9 PM. Shirley L called. She saw Merrill on TV. Also Lyla called. Merrill got cards from Ken and Esther, Steve and Kathy, Debby and Nancy and Tom. Nancy wrote nice letter.

Sunny most of the day. Snowing at supper time and evening. We went for groceries in morning. Vern called in AM. They are bringing Merrill a birthday cake. Merrill cleaned floors. Vivian called. Joe B quit his job. Linda and her folks went to Florida this week. Merrill got birthday cards from Bea Gehm’s and Juanita and Don. Dr. said Don has Parkinson’s disease. He is improving with medications.

Partly cloudy but nice day. Merrill’s birthday. 88 years. My beloved husband for almost 62 years. Vern and June here for dinner with us. They brought their dad a pretty birthday cake. They gave him a fuzzy blanket for his chair. Gladys called him. Also Gloria. Jim called in PM. Merrill got birthday cards from Lyla and Gloria and family. Vernon put up new light over counter. They went to Antwerp for bulb for it. He also put metal strip on dining room carpet and he put switch on floor lamp.

Cold in morning. Sunny all day. We didn’t go to church. Merrill didn’t sleep only an hour last night. I called Lyla in morning. Jim called in PM. He, Sue and Ashley came out and took us out to supper at Philadelphia restaurant for Merrill’s birthday. I called Bill Henderson in evening to ask how much we owe him for plowing. He said he didn’t want anything as he told Merrill before. Jill and Jim’s first anniversary. Jim went to Missouri yesterday the one month training.

A nice sunny day. Up to 28° I sent Juanita a birthday card and letter. Sarah’s 2nd birthday.

Eye appointment at 1:45 PM. Everything better than I thought. I called Jim in morning. He will be after us this PM. Jim brought us home. It makes a lot of driving for him. He took PM off. Juanita’s birthday. Merrill had a bad night. He slept very little. Merrill got glasses adjusted at Meades. We got drugs, peanuts, and 12 Cadberry Easter egg candy at Farmhouse store. I called Vivian. Clak will take Merrill out to day care. Pauline called from Marges. Bill Mower’s 81st birthday.

Sunny and much warmer. Maundy Thursday Philadelphia 7 PM. Merrill woke up not feeling good. He couldn’t swallow or see. I called Dr. Mike but he isn’t in today. Nurse Shelly called. She said he may have had a little mini stroke. He felt better before noon. He ate his breakfast, lunch and supper. Esther’s birthday. Jim called. Sue’s son Michael 30 had bad car accident at 2 AM. We got Easter card from June and Vern. Jill called. She’s getting things planned for her wedding. Vivian called to see how Merrill was. I called Lyla. Her cold is better. Jim has called three times today. Clark T planned to take Merrill to day care. Bill and Vi’s 61st anniversary.

A beautiful day. Up to 68°. Good Friday church, Evans Mills. 7 PM. We went for groceries in AM. I washed Merrill’s clothes. I peeled apples for pies. Merrill was outside a lot. He’s anxious to get working at lawn. Jim called in evening. Just left seeing Mike L at hospital. Mike still having tests. Sue spent day with him. Merrill saw two robins in back yard this morning. First ones.

Warm, up to 60°. Some rain. I made a salad and apple pie. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. I talked with Vi. Martha has been in hospital again. She is coming home today. Jolie and Jim called about 4 PM. They just took Mike to Syracuse hospital by ambulance. Sue went with him. Jim going to Syracuse also. They spent night at cabin.

Ground covered with snow. Starte last night. Slippery. Wet heavy snow all day. I washed table linens. Etc. Jim called from cabin. Lots of snow up there. Sue stayed at hospital all night. Jim called about 9 PM. He was on way home from Syracuse. Was near Sandy Creek following Renee home. Sue stayed for second night. Tracy was staying also. Mike to have operation at 8 AM tomorrow.

Sunny day. Beautiful. Cold with north wind. Merrill shoveled snow out of driveway so he cold see to back out. Merrill to have blood test. 3rd one. Appointment at 10:30. Dr. Mike gave him a prescription for sleeping pills. Merrill’s BP 110/80. I got two bottles of oyster calcium.

Another sunny, great day. I called Lyla. She will take Merrill to day care tomorrow. I called Jim at work. Mike’s operation went well and he is up walking today. He will be home tomorrow morning. Little Ashley, 6, Sue’s granddaughter is having tests today. She may have M.D. I hope not. She’s such a sweet little girl. Chumson Cha and Sammy in Philadelphia today. Chumson here in PM. She sys their house is badly damaged by tenants. Powells. Jim called in evening. Sue came home tonight. Dr. VanEmancey does not think Ashley has M.D. Rev. Elaine’s 53rd birthday.

Sunny 63° today. Great weather. Lyla and I took Merrill out to day care at 9:30 AM. Jim brought him home an had supper with us. Jim went to Syracuse and brought Michael Lucide home from hospital. Lyla took me for groceries and to Pharmhouse for sleeping pills. He took the first one tonight.Vivian called at supper time. They had a chemical fire in their driveway Monday. Chumson Cha left their address and telephone number in mail box.

A great sunny day. Rev. Elaine called and wants to borrow our car next Tuesday. She is having tests at Carthage hospital. Mr. Lewis Fiestal and Tina Siembidn 11:30 AM. They signed Merrill up for home care. Can use $2040 a month long term home health care. Indian River school has received 150 new computers. They are on the internet now.

Warm a great day. 60° I washed clothes. We took trash and garbage. Merrill had bad night on sleep. Rev. Elaine here in PM. Nicce visit. Jim called. He will call back tonight. Sue still with Michael. He’s doing okay. Merrill cleaned floors. I set clocks ahead for day light time tomorrow.

They called to say the coach will pick Merrill up starting next Tuesday and Thursday at 8:20-8:45 AM. Lyla will take Merrill to day care tomorrow. I called Donna for perm appointment, April 17th.

Lyla took Merrill to day care at 9:30 AM. He didn’t sleep much so neither did I. Lyla here before her doctor appointment. Support meeting 7-8 PM Alzheimer’s. I washed clothes, made fruit cocktail cake, got stuff ready for supper. Jim brought Merrill home from Day Care. He took him to Pharmhouse so Merrill could buy new electric razor. Jim here for supper.
