Diary Entry for 3/6/1997

Lots of snow this morning 34° high. Lots of schools closed or delayed. Indian River closed. Storm hit wide area. St. Lawrence County bad. I cancelled Merrill’s Day Care. Don not coming in either. Lyla and Jim called. Merrill had a real good night. Best in ages. So did I. Nice in afternoon. Sun out bright. Merrill shoveled snow. Also cleaned floors. I mended some of Merrill’s clothes. I called Don Currier to order our church roast beef suppers. Read bad accident on NY State Thruway. 7 tractor trailers and 19 cars. One person killed, an exchange student from Taiwan.
