Vernon came home from Mother’s. Don, Juanita & Donna were here for supper.

Aunt Lizzie Hanson funeral. Cleaned bathroom. Merrill & Vernon went to farm show. Talked with Mrs. Keichle. Sent cards to Mom, Angie & Dr. R.

Snowing awfully hard. Mrs. Hagan went to Theresa hospital last night with grippe. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Terrible explosion in Texas.

Wrote Aunt Mildred. Sent card to Mrs. Hagan. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Merrill & boys went to G.L.F. show. I practiced at Lodge.

Talked with Helen. Mrs. Hagan is better. Jim & I were over to Lodge Room all day. Helped clean. Had veterinarian for cow. Got card from Angie.

Ground covered with snow again. Jack H was over & spent the day with Vernon. Went over town. Talked with Helen.

Mrs. Hagan got home from hospital. We went out to Angie’s for dinner. Also over to Ken’s. Talked with Helen.

Went over to Lodge in evening to practice. I took Leah home. Boys got card from Dad.

Went to Lodge in evening. Put on degree. Was almost 2:00 when I got home.

Got letter from Mom. Aunt Keitha isn’t very good.

Wrote Mom. Took 2 calves to sale. Saw Dorothy. Went over to Addie K. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s. Talked with Mrs. Keichle & Helen.

Awfully windy. Merrill & Vernon helped set out trees. Got radio home. Talked with Cora, Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Feeling awfully weak.

Daylight time started at 2:00 AM. Raining hard. Boys & I went to church.

Washed & ironed. Cleaned upstairs. Talked with Helen.

Varnished rugs. Painted floors. Got letters from Marg & Aunt Esther.

Cleaned rug. Mrs. Keichle brought over cleaner. Went to circle meeting at Aunt Maude’s. Raining. Talked with Mrs. Keichle, Vi & Aunt Maude.

Sent cards to Mom. Went over to Uncle Earle’s in evening. Saw Lila at Pamelia [Township near Evans Mills]. Raining. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle.

Cleaned kitchen floor. Put on slip covers. Quite warm. Merrill went with shirt off for first. Talked with Helen.

Went out home for dinner. Helen & boys were over. Talked with Aunt Maude.

Washed & ironed. Rainy. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Talked with Beulah & Mrs. Keichel.

Went to W.S.C.S. at Church. Mac got hurt by Light Truck. [Mac was a 150 pound, black New Foundland dog who was owned by Hagans on farm, and remained there when Tryon’s moved in.]Rainy. Talked with Leah.

Still rainy. Was over to Mrs. Hagans. Helped at church. Talked with Helen. They took Mrs. B Keichle to hospital.

Turkey supper at church. I helped. Talked with Elsie & Helen. Got card from Aunt Esther. Vernon was sick & didn’t go to school. Snow flurries.

Awfully cold. Mowed back yard. Vernon mowed the rest of yard. Talked with Helen.

Nice but cold. Merrill has been over town 3 times. Talked with Helen.Jack H was over.

Mother’s Day. Boys & I went to Sunday School. Vernon said poem. Took oats & barley out home in PM. Got 2 little pigs.

Washed & ironed. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Went over town in PM. Stopped at Mrs. Hagan’s. Windy.

Beulah Hall is in hospital. Cleaned kitchen & started sun porch. Turned some of young stock & cow out for first.

Jim & I went out home. Merrill started fitting land. Quite cold. Went to Lodge in evening. Talked with Helen & Viola Drake.

Sent card to Beulah. Vernon & I took grist over town. Aunt K, Dort & baby & Grandpa were here. Went to musical at school. Vernon played clarinet.

I’ve been fitting with tractor all day. Sold 40 bu. oats. Cleaned yards.

Been over town twice. Planted oats for first. (7 acres). Fitted with tractor all day. Talked with Aunt Maude. Vernon planted flowers. Mowed back yard.

No church today. Conference. Finished mowing yards. Helen, Mrs. Hagan & boys were here.

Washed & ironed. Cleaned & waxed kitchen floor. Jim & I were over town. Stopped at Mrs. Hagan. Turned cows out at night for first.

Went to city. Got Jim tricycle. Vernon pen. Raining. Saw Dr. Roberts. Said I’d have to go to hospital again. Wrote Mom. Woman called and wanted me to be on “Fresh Air Kids” committee.

Still raining. Got fish from Helen & Allan. Thunder & lightening storm. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Suits & Vi.

Awfully wet. Cleaned sun porch. Wrote Mom. Sent card to Aunt K. Aunt Maude called. Talked with Helen.

Nice day. Ground still too wet to work. Merrill & Carl built fence. Talked with Helen. Lois Ward is in hospital.

Have been in bed most of day. Merrill went to city for parts for tractor. Mrs. Keichle called.

Went to Uncle Earle’s for bull head dinner. Jim & I were over town & to Aunt Maude’s. I feel punk.

Felt terrible. Did small wash & most of ironing. Called Leah. Talked with Helen. Glenn Parker died. Stopped in to see Beulah Hall.

Feeling horrid. Went down to see Dr. Drayer. Said it was low blood pressure. Mrs. Keichle called. Mrs. Danforth is in hospital with broken hip.

Wrote Mom. Sent cards to Lois, Mrs. Danforth, & Mrs. Parker. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude. Keichle’s were over in evening.

Glen Parker funeral. Went up to see doctor. Got Vernon & Jim shoes. Helen was over.

Came to hospital. Aunt Mildred sent flowers. Merrill, Ken & Don had blood typed. Jim went out home. Talked with Aunt Maude.

Don came up & give blood for transfusion. Marg was here. Merrill was up in evening.

Merrill was up. I feel grand today. Dr. Roberts said I could get up. Have to get someone to give blood for second transfusion.
