We went to Sunday School and church, 57 there. We drove up to see Rev. and Mrs. Barnes and Edna Hackey and family at Morristown in PM. Edna has a restaurant now. A beautiful day.

Administrative Council at CEC, 10 there. Voted to do insulation. $4000 plus heat runs at church. I told them I don’t want to be chairman next year. I’ve had it 10 1/2 years. Rebekah’s auditing committee meeting here at 1:00. Power off in village for 5 hours.

Agway dinner. We went. Very good. I furnished 2 pies. They fed 415. I went over to Vivian’s. She helped me with long dress.

Rebekah’s installation. Garland Installed, 33 present. I’m chaplain again . Had sandwiches, pickles and raised donuts. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM for first this fall. I washed. My arthritis bad. Sent order to Wards. Clarence Schell here with my dish. Gave us fresh salmon.

We went for groceries in AM. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM. Colder. Very foggy in evening.

Vi and Doris here to pick UMW officers in PM. Gave Art butternuts. Very foggy until noon. Bad over night. Merrill worked at Horton’s. I made out letter for newsletter.

We went to Sunday School and church, 50 out. 25th anniversary party for Carl and Cheryl Horton an Pamelia. We went. All very lovely. About 200 there. A summer like day. Saw Rose LaClair. She was raking leaves.

Merrill helped at Horton’s all day. He went at 8 to help with chores. I helped fold Newsletters at parsonage. Merrill took Randy to city for bar-B-Q grill for Horton’s anniversary gift.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Washed. Merrill got down storm windows to wash. He worked at Horton’s most of day. I washed windows. Merrill put them on in evening except for 2 of them

Wrote Vern’s. Washed the Buick. Merrill washed the Dodge in evening. I raked leaves. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day.Got letter from Vern’s. Had their zip code on it so it took 5 days getting here.

Town took Sunday School papers to Carthage. Merrill didn’t help this time. First time in years he hasn’t. He worked all day at Horton’s. Took his lunch today. I went for groceries. Sent Blue Cross claims, $38.90.

Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. It rained some in late PM and evening. I made two kinds of cookies. Merrill got gray sweater from Wards. Warm. In the 70’s.

Merrill cleaned floors. He went to landfill before going to Horton’s to work. I washed clothes. Cold wind today. Made apple pies.

Today is the 70th anniversary of Mom and Dad’s marriage. Oren and Marie Barker’s 39th. We went to Sunday School and church, 61 out. Thunder storms during church. Jim’s here for supper. Jolie is member of Sackets School band.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. Built fence. I sent Steve birthday card, letter, and check. I washed dining room curtains. We went to store in evening. Finally got letter from Uncle Berl. He has been in hospital with bleeding.

Merrill took carrots up to Dwayne’s for church supper. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Built fence for 2nd day. Got gray slacks from Wards.

Kay’s started church insulation this morning. Didn’t come yesterday. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Blossom Haggerty, 9 months old, found dead in bed this morning at 7 AM. Called Doris.

Chicken and biscuit supper at 5 PM. Steve’s 20th birthday. Martin’s 15th. I called for food for Haggerty funeral . I took pies over town. Got groceries.

Kay’s finished church insulation, $4000.00. Graveside services for Blossom Haggerty, Nine months, at Calcium, 11 AM. Margaret K and I took UMW food to them. Merrill worked all day at Horton’s fixing chopper wagon. Colder. Some rain.

Cloudy. Washed clothes. Quite warm today. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day.

78° and windy. We went to Sunday School and church, 75 out. Children from Sunday School sang. June R here in evening She is helping milk at Pamelia. Water pump isn’t working on farm.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. He went to June’s at supper time and put new leathers in water pump for her. I washed clothes. Merrill and I both have a cold.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. They finished chopping corn. Merrill and Carl went to Adams about garage door. Thelma Scrimminger stopped in for a visit. Got letter from June. I worked at my report for Charge Conference.

Halloween. Moved plants inside from porches. A great day again. Jim goes to Syracuse again for CAT scan at Upstate. 16 kids here for Halloween. Terry, Pat and Deanne here. Good to see them. Terry has job at St. Regis.

Finished Administrative Council report. Took food to Nancy Huntress. Her father died. Got groceries. Merrill went to Mills to Sipko’s. Has to take Dodge over for oil leak. UMW at Margaret Kiechle’s, 13 out. Nice meeting. Vern called in evening. My cold worse today.

A few first snow flurries in the air. Much colder and windy. I called June to say we wouldn’t be there. We both have bad colds. Carl Horton here. Lawrence Reynolds died yesterday.

Cold but nice. Washed clothes. Merrill helped Horton’s cover ensilage pipe in PM. He burned leaves.

We went to Sunday School and church, 66 out. Laurie Delles, Nancy Huntress and Linda Sharkey. Geraldine and Collin Slate joined church by confirmation.

Charge conference at Philadelphia, 20 present. 15 for supper. Harry Kent new Council Chair. I’ve had it almost 12 years. We took Dodge to George’s. Went to city. Fay had eye drops. Got potatoes. Set tables in PM for supper. Vi helped us. Called Patty from city.

Election Day. We voted in AM. President Reagan won by a landslide. Rained all day. Jim and Pat go to Syracuse for Jim’s doctor appointment at 11:30. Didn’t get to see doctor as he was away until December 11.

Billy Graham’s 66th birthday. Clinic. Merrill 120/70 and 14.8. Mine is 152/96 and 13.5 blood count. Sunny today. Wrote June and Vern. Stopped and talked with Clarence Schell.

Rev. Salisbury leaves on vacation. Nice day but cold. Sunny. We went for groceries. Had fresh salmon steak that Clarence Schell gave us.

Cloudy and warmer. Merrill cleaned church. Mr. Kay gave Merrill bill for church insulation job, $4000. The light on overhead have been removed.

Shower for Anne Brancatella but I didn’t go. Sent gift. We went to Sunday School and church, 44 out. Rev. Bea in charge. Jim’s here for supper. Jim is having Monday’s off now as he works with problem kids on Saturday. Ken and Eleanor and Luke here in evening. Tammy Nuralt left Ken’s on her 16th birthday, October 31st.

No school or mail. Leslie’s 70th birthday. Merrill helped with cement at Horton’s in AM. Raining and colder. Snowing in late evening. Got Times. Merrill and Collin Slate put cement in church wall.

Everything white with snow this morning. About 2 inches overall. First snow this season. Sand truck by. Merrill changed rugs. Got letter from Gwen Dowel in California. Uncle Berl is real bad. Called her in evening. He’s some better.

We went to Piddock Funeral home. Also up to Don’s. Roy there. We stopped to see Beula on way home. Ginny didn’t come to go to Rebekah’s. No plans at Piddock’s for Uncle Berl. Rev. Ralph Hutchinson died today. He married Jim and Patty. She sang at their wedding.

I wrote Gwen Dowel. I went for groceries. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day trucking cattle to Mills. Carl paid him for work, $393.75.

Ken and Eleanor’s 38th anniversary. Wrote Vern’s. Sent Rev. Salisbury birthday card. Merrill helped Horton’s truck last of heifers. Raining and snow flurries in evening.

Snowing some but sunshine and cold. Washed clothes. Merrill cut up some of limb that broke off in back yard. Vern called in evening.

We went to Sunday School and church, 45 there. Rev. Bea in charge. Rev. Salisbury’s birthday. Rainy. Rev. Ralph Hutchinson died the week before last. Memorial service was November 11 for him.

Rev. Salisbury home from vacation. Merrill got hair cut at Allen’s. I washed clothes. I got birthday card and letter from Bea and Don Gehm. Official announcement that 10th infantry at Fort Drum today. Doreen and Mike Ring have baby girl, Darcia Marie.

Gwen called from California. Uncle Berl is going back to Villa by ambulance. I sent him card. Talked with Dot Haggerty. Still cold in the 20’s.

Cold last night, 18°. We left for Vern and June’s in PM. Patty called in morning to wish me Happy Birthday. Got several cards. Talked with Aunt Maude. My 67th birthday. We all went to Minetto Church service in evening.

Thanksgiving at Vern and June’s. Just us and boys. A nice dinner and day together. Jim and Patty having Jean and Tracy and Audrey. Jim worked until 6 PM.

Home from Vern’s. Stopped by Don’s to get family Bible. Only saw Debby and kids. Went through car wash. Got groceries when we got home. Had tire on car fixed. A stone punched it. Karen and girl friend and her dog at Don’s. Girl’s gone to get Karen’s hair done. Don not good.

Nice day. Washed clothes. Air damp so didn’t dry good outside. Merrill went to landfill. Fixed mail box. Put some wood down cellar.

Sunday School and church, 54 out. Foggy in AM. Christmas parade in city.
