President Ronald Reagan’s Inauguration. 52 hostages flown to Germany from Iran. We watched TV all day. Warmer.

Beautiful day, about 18°. Washed. Merrill cleaned pipes as it smoked. Soot dropped down chimney. Ex Pres. Carter and staff flew to Germany to greet ex hostages.

Jim’s 13th year on police force. Snowing but warmer. B-12 shot. I baked pies.

Mother Tryon died this PM. Grace called twice. I called kids. Got letter from Melba. Glenda gave me iron shot.

Merrill went to Theresa for hair cut. I got stuff ready to go to Oswego.

74 miles from our house to Vern’s. Got here about 11:30. Stopped at Ken’s on way. Vern, June and boys went also to Wolcott. Calvin and Robertson Funeral Home in PM from 2-4. Merrill and I spent night at Vern’s.

Mother Tryon’s funeral 2:00 PM. Jim came for it. Quite a few there. Vern’s all went. Went to see Kessel after funeral. Administrative Board meeting. Bob G took over for me. Stayed over night at Vern’s.

Got home at 2:30. Left Vern’s at 8:30. Stopped at Ken’s and Don’s. Some flurries. Called Marg. Got Pro and Credit check, $37.45.

B-12 shot. Merrill paid taxes, $267.71. We are both tired today. Merrill got groceries. Got several cards. I didn’t go to Lodge. Pauline R has been in hospital, gall bladder.

My right hand bad today. Merrill cleaned stove pipes. Nice day. Got several more sympathy cards. Got note from Beulah.

Nice day but cold. Washed clothes. Baked cake and cookies. Got letter from Harvey Richardson of Adams. He is a relative of Mother Tryon’s. Merrill went for groceries.

All day church meetings at CEC. I went all day. Merrill went in AM. He cleaned church in PM. I called Jim’s in evening.

We went to church, 84 there. Didn’t go to covered dish meeting at Mills. Jim’s here for supper. Terrible slippery when they went home. I called to see if they made it OK. The wind kept blowing the car but no trouble. Lots of accidents. Several busses.

No school because of icy roads. Cloudy. Rainy and snowy all day. Washed clothes. Made candy.

B-12 shot. Cleaned stove pipes. Nice day. Merrill went over town. 3 feet of snow at Adams Center and snow belt section.

Clinic. Canceled because of storm. Called Fays Drug Store. They couldn’t get Imferon. I’m to call Friday morning. Stormy all over. Schools closed at noon because of storm.

UMW at Margaret’s. I didn’t go. Too sore and lame. Washed clothes. Cold.

I had lab tests at hospital. They cost $26.70 now. Got Imferon. Glenda gave me shot. First one this week. Lynn, Mary, Bob, and Marilyn and kids left for Florida at 4 AM.

Snowy. Merrill used snow blower. Merrill went over town for groceries. Warmer in PM.

We went to church, 81 out. The Quick’s left for Florida in the PM. Jim’s came for supper. Snowed in late PM and evening. Party at Lowville for Everett and Claire Haggerty, 35th anniversary. Aunt Maude, Lyla and Cheryl went also Ken’s.

Windy and blowing snow. I wrote Uncle Berl, Ken’s, and Vern’s. Sent check to Sears. Called Carl Scee. Glenda gave me iron shot.

Merrill cleaned pipes. Wrote Elmer’s and Dot. Gave myself B-12 shot. Washed. Very stormy in PM and evening. Wind terrible. Lots of damage. I was sick in night with intestinal bug.

Got Valentine and letter from Angie. I was sick in bed all day with bug. No Rebekah’s because of storm.

Nice but cold. Only 10° high all day. We went for groceries in PM.

Friday the 13th. Joel’s 5th birthday. Card party at Bill and Vi’s. Nice time. 16 there. Merrill cleaned church and put in new candles. Beautiful day. Got letter from Rev. Cameron.

Birthday dinner at Jim’s. Nice time and turkey dinner. Patty’s father there also. Got Valentine and note from Leslie. He is very lonesome. A beautiful day. Bob Puffer’s birthday.

DS Leonard Owen preaches. Quick’s are in Florida. Great sermon, 85 out. Much warmer. Lazy day. No company. Wrote letter to Angie. Beautiful day. Temperature up to 50°.

School is out this week. No mail but Times came. Washington’s birthday. Wrote Leslie. Beautiful day, 50°

Cloudy but warm. Merrill cleaned pipes. Gave myself B-12. Glenda gave me iron shot. I made cookies. Merrill checked basement of parsonage and CEC.

Warm again today. Like spring. Called Dr. Roberts. Blood count 10.3. Normal is 3.0 to 4.5. Dr. Roberts nurse called and want me to come see him Monday.

Wrote Cameron’s. Jills 6th birthday. We went for groceries. Merrill went to parsonage with Niagara Mohawk guy. Cloudy all day but warm, 50°-60°.

Dr. Scanlon, 9:30. Everything OK. We went to Sackets for girls. Rained about all day. Darcy and Joey here to play. Got letter from Uncle Berl. Still warm. Glenda gave me iron shot.

Sent Dan card, letter and check. Cloudy but very warm. Foggy again in evening. Merrill and kids went to dump. Quick’s got back at 4 AM.

We all went to church, 89 out. Merrill took Jolie and Jill to Brancatella’s in PM. In the 60’s again today. Jim’s here for supper. Patty had her first permanent wave ever. A short curly one.

Dan’s birthday. My appointment with Dr. Roberts, 2:30. He started me on Tylenol capsules. Stopped at Angie and Orv’s, and Ken’s on way, and Beulah’s on way home. Talked with Marg. Hollis was in hospital a week with infection in finger. B-12 shot.

Cloudy. Merrill went to Syracuse with Howard and Jeff. Howard got 1976 Honda car, red. A little cooler today but a beautiful day. Washed. Glenda gave me iron shot.

Rebekah’s. Only 9 out. Rainy. Got letter from Vern’s. They are having water problems in cellar.

My arthritis bad today. No work done all day. Merrill went for groceries.

A nice day. Sandy Fagan called. Got card from Lynn and Mary from Florida.

Windy. Made brownies. Merrill cleaned church. Washed clothes. We spent the evening with Sandy and Ed Fagan and kids. Rhonda and Pat at Fort Drum. Talked with Patty. Jim and scouts are in Utica.

We went to church, 78 out. Patty and kids here for dinner. Jim in Utica with Explorers. Pat, Lorraine, Tina and Tony Brancatella here in PM. Gave Lorraine fern and ivy slip.

B-12 shot. Merrill went to Canada with Pat Brancatella for fence posts, 125 @ .80. Snowed some but all melted.

Patty called for Dr. Roberts telephone number. Wrote Vern’s. Colder but nice day. Got letter from June. They may be out on Saturday if Tour-a-thon for Steve is on. Merrill went over town and paid bills. Fixed pipes at church. We ordered a red maple tree from Jeff P, $5.50. Elmer and Melba’s 30th anniversary.

Washed clothes. My arthritis bad today. Tour-a-thon at Sandy Creek called off. Steve was enrolled. Aunt Maude called. Vera Strader and girls are coming there tonight.

We went for groceries. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s to see Vera, Lorna and Sharon Strader. Nice day. Vern called in evening. They are coming Saturday. Fred Hodge, 42, died this morning in Mercy Hospital.

Sent Uncle Berl card and letter. Merrill cleaned house. Washed clothes. Leslie called to say Kessel died this morning at 10 AM. Called Vern’s and others. Grace called. Funeral 2:30 Sunday. World Day of Prayer. I didn’t go.

Snowed last night. Ground white. Jim’s, Kenny and Jeff here. Boys went bird hunting. Jim’s here for supper. Merrill went with man to parsonage. $1600 estimate from Clayton insulation. Glenda gave me iron shot.

Kessel’s funeral, 2:30. We just went for day. Jim, Pat and kids went with us. We went to Elmer’s before funeral. Large funeral. Had supper at Vern and June’s Got home about 9 PM. Nice day but rainy in evening. Warm.
