Vern has all day meeting at Methodist Center on Folts Home. June, boys, Merrill and I went to city. Debby and baby went home today. We stopped at Aunt Maude’s and Kathy and David’s. Saw Clay for first time. Their home is so nice.

Beautiful day but still cold, 20°. Vern’s and us went to church. Jim’s came for diner with us. She started dinner and set table. They all left about 3 PM. Vern’s secretary’s mother passed away and they wanted to go to funeral home. Jim had to work on van.

Rainy. We went to Adams Center for hose for tractor, $7.30. Left Merrill’s 2 suits at cleaners. Got part for stove burner at Sears. $1.35. Got pictures at K-Mart. Terrible windy. Power off and on.

Snow Flurries last night. We went to Sunday school and church. 117 out. Baptism. Clay Todd Scott, Gary, Kris, Larry and Jerry. Also Karen Tousley’s two boys. Church widow is in bad shape. Merrill went up in evening to brace it. We went to Jim’s for dinner. Had party for Merrill. Cake etc. Gave him candy mints.

Raining all day. We went to city and to Adams and Don’s. Got oil changed at Adams, Goslin’s. Beulah went to Don’s with us. Marg and Roy there. Brenda and boys stopped in with baby goat. I took Debby 2 packages of diapers. Merrill got cards from Marg’s, Leslie, and Mother T.

42°. Merrill’s 69th birthday. Got card from Ken’s. Sent Eleanor card and note. I haven’t felt good all day. Have the runs. Dean Webb has had 2 bad heart attacks. Is in ICU. David J brought sausage, FFA sale, $4.00.

Furnace quit. George Parker fixed it, $63.56. Needed new relay, etc. Merrill cleaned church on way to Fort Drum. He helped Howard after supper also. Howard gave him $75. We didn’t get around in time to go to communion at Mills. Washed clothes.

Good Friday. We went to church in evening. 55 there. Had flat tire in Philadelphia, new snow tire. Merrill got hair cut at Theresa. I made cinnamon rolls. We went for groceries. Got lily from MYF for Mother Tryon, $7.98.

Eleanor’s 50th birthday. Called Vern in AM. Got tire checked at Sears. Had to get a new one as snow tire had a cut from glass. Got to Wolcott about 11 AM. Kessel has another cancer on his head. Mother pretty good. We went to Vern’s for supper and spend the night. They gave him tan jacket for his birthday .

Jim and Helen Bush have baby girl, Amanda, In Florida. Easter Sunday. We went to church with Vern’s, Minetto. Very nice. Jim, Pat , Kids and Bob Puffer came to Vern’s for dinner. Good to be together. Rained all day. Got home at 6 PM. Started freezing. Juanita’s birthday, 49 and DWayne, 8th.

Dean Webb, 41 years, died about 10 AM. Graduated with Vern, 1954. Heart. Has daughter, Deanne 16. Merrill run cleaner. I ironed clothes. A beautiful day. 45°. we went to MYF movie at church, “He Restoreth My Soul” by Merrill Womack. Called Vern’s about Dean Webb.

Dad has been gone 18 years today. Mailed letter to Vern’s. Cloudy and windy. Ken and Eleanor fly to Orlando, Florida today. We went up to Aunt Maude’s at 9:30 to oversee insulation job. The CAPC did it free of charge for her. Had lunch with her.

Warmer 60° and windy. Merrill worked outside about all day. He put on summer tires. I washed clothes. I made cake and cup cakes. The insulation folks didn’t come to Aunt Maude’s.
