A cloudy damp day. 32° VIP Christmas party at Shelby’s 11:30 PM. Ten of us present. A delicious lunch and nice get together. I rode Para Transit bus. I talked with Lyla.

Cloudy day. I took bus to doctor’s office. The city is tearing down the American Hotel on the Square. I got several Christmas Cards. Sent some. Dr. LaPoint 10:45 AM. My BP 130/80. 144 pounds. Blood count a little low. Have to see her again in six weeks to check it. We didn’t play cards tonight. Tables are set up for banquet. I talked with Marge Thayer and Pauline Roggie. Pauline is going to Florida for the winter on December 29th. Jim called.

Raining. I went to exercise class. All there. We gave Dawn gift certificate. She brought us chocolate cupcakes. Centennial Christmas dinner. I called Vern and June. Shawn Michael’s birthday 10 years old. Jolie and Zack called in evening. Zack got home from Louisiana today. He had told Jolie he would be home the day before Christmas so he could surprise them. He called her on his cell phone making her think he was still away but was just outside their door. Madison wouldn’t have anything to do with him until he shaved off a mustache he had let grow while he was away.

Lots of snow over night. Oswego County got it this time. 38° and 28°. Doris H called in PM. Art went home from hospital today. Doing great. Talked with Jim. He went to Pulaski at 4 AM to plow first snow. I made peanut butter fudge. I got cute picture of Kristen and Sarah on a Christmas card. I went out in lobby to ear carolers from Stone Presbyterian church in evening.

Bright sunny day. I cleaned house. 12 hour prayer vigil at church. 7 AM to 7 PM. Jim, Sherri and I go from 1-2 PM. I cleaned floors.

Nice day. Raining hard in evening. We went to church. Nice musical service, choir and bell ringers. No Sunday school. I baked cake in PM. Sherri here in evening. She got me some cottage cheese at the store. Jolie called in evening. I also talked with Jim. Alice F called in evening.

36° and 30°. It started snowing hard here in the city about 2 PM. I was busy all day getting ready for tomorrow. Jim had a deer run into his truck on his way home from Nancy’s in evening. $2000 damage to his big truck.

Snowing lightly in morning but not a bad day. Sun out at Oswego. Vern, June, Jim, Jill and Shane here for dinner. Loads of food. Joel called. Also Jolie and kids. Lyla called in evening. She and Larry didn’t come to Marians because of the weather. Lyla said Virginia Delles died yesterday. I called Esther Taylor in evening. Jim called in evening to say he forgot to give Jill and I our gifts from Nancy. Jolie called in evening. Jim and Sherri called. They didn’t go to Massena.

28° and 19°. A bright sunny day. Cold. More snow on the way. I put food in freezer. Jim and Walt here. They went to store and had a battery put in my watch. $1.50. Jim brought me angel book from Nancy. Betty called. She will be here to clean tomorrow. 10 – 12 PM.

Lots of snow off and on all day. Windy. Betty Mahon, Jessie’s sister here to clean. Jessie in Florida. Jim Nash called to ask if I needed anything from store. I sent sympathy card to the Delles family. I sent note to Jill and Shane. Jolie called in evening.

Windy. Lots of snow around. Snowed more during PM. Dr. LaPoint 10 AM. We took a cab both ways. We got account changed over to me as new treasurer. Clayton is getting buried in the snow. Buffalo still getting snow over 7 feet.

Snowing hard about all day. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. Sherri Nash called to say their first great grandchild was born today. A little girl. Rev. Jane called to say they took Alice Flaherty to Carthage hospital today. They think she had a stroke. I called Karen L. I called Esther in evening.

Terrible stormy all day. Lots of accidents. We didn’t go to church or Sunday school. Jolie called. I called Juanita. Esther went to Syracuse hospital with heart trouble but they didn’t keep her there. Alice Porters 99th birthday. I called Vern and June in evening. Jolie called again in evening. She spent $45 to get my old Timex watch repaired just because it was mine. I didn’t pay that much for it years ago.

Still snowing. 29° and 22°. Police asks for no unnecessary travel in Jefferson and Lewis County. It cleared in afternoon and the sun peeked out for a while. Lots of snow everywhere. I talked with Lyla. Not too bad at Philadelphia. Pauline R left for Florida Friday with Donna and Howard. 2001 not too bad a year except for the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon buildings. Juanita called in evening. I saw the new year in with Jolie and kids at midnight on the phone.
