Another cloudy day. 50° ad 47°. I slept late this morning. I forgot about coffee and donut hour. Virginia and Gerald Delles’ 60th anniversary in the Times today. I hope Ginny is alert enough to see it. She wanted it so much. It was Tuesday, November 27th. Jim Nash brought ham dinners from church super. Very good.

Cloudy in the AM. 47° and 36°. I went to Sunday school and church with Jim and Sherri. Faith Fellowship Baptist Church had service here in Metcalf Room at 2-3. I went. Very nice. I called Vern. He is doing okay. June was at a doings at church and he was going with Dan and Robin’s. Jim called in evening. He was in his garage. Jolie called in evening. She called again at 1:30 AM. I got out Christmas decorations.

Cloudy. A few rain showers. I finished rest of decorations. Decorated tree this year. Centennial Club 7:30 PM. I went. A very good turnout. I cut three fingers on apron of the table. Larry Bush put band aids on them. My ring finger bled real hard. Jim called in evening.

Nice day today. Merrill died a year ago today. I’m wearing one of his shirts today. I still miss him so much but I’m glad he no has to be in a nursing home. I went to exercise class. Nine of us there. New class starts next week. I showed Hope my cut fingers as Bill said to do. I gave Florence $5 toward staff Christmas gifts. Barbershop chorus here at 7:30PM. I forgot about them so didn’t go. Jim called in evening. Jolie called at 12:30 PM and woke me up.

Another warm day. 60°. Lots of activity here decorating for Christmas. Setting up trees etc. Great fun feeling. Marion H played Christmas music. Jim here to take me to drug store. I sent information to Heap. Hope made me copies. Jim’s appointment with Dr. Peckham 8:15 AM. He has another ruptured disc, arthritis etc. He is going to see a doctor in Syracuse. Sherri N called to ask about my fingers. I played Pedro in evening. Only two tables.

68° 43° a cloudy day. Another 12 weeks of exercise class started today. I paid my $30. Stompers here 7 PM. I went. Great music. They played for two hours.

46° 29° some sun. Snow predicted tomorrow. I hurt my big toe. Maybe broke it. I fell in my bedroom. Bill put rubber handles on my door knobs so I can open my front door easier. Great to use. I talked with Dorothy Kellogg. I got several Christmas cards. Vi called. Ginny losing ground. Not a happy Christmas for the Delles family.

My toe real sore. I’m sore from the fall. I’ve got a black and blue jaw and shin. I left a birthday message for Marion Carvelle on her birthday today. Jolie called in evening. I talked with Madison and Shawn Michael.

37° and 28°. Finally snow. Beautiful this morning with everything white. The bright sun melted it all later. Four inches in Lowville. We went to church. Good turn out. I talked with Esther and Ken. Esther’s sister, Eleanor Hobbs Palmer, 92 year died. Jolie called in early evening. Talked to Madison.

Cold. Sunny. Bertha A stopped by. I called bank and ordered checks. Also called for BP Prescription.

A nice sunny day. I went to exercise class. Good turn out. I worked at Christmas cards. Jim called on way home from Nancy’s. He’s been there for supper. Jolie and kids called late in evening. Today would have been our 66th wedding anniversary.

Sunny. Christmas dinner at school. 12:30 PM. Bus picked us up at noon. We had a delicious dinner and the program by the kids was great. The new school is so nice. I played Pedro in evening. Only two tables of us. Jessie called in evening. She will be here tomorrow to clean.

Raining. I went to exercise class. Dr. Schepis 2:45. Take antibiotic. I had other tooth filled. $80. Feels good to have them all good again. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Jim came and took me to dentist as it was raining hard. He and Walt came back with a little decorated tree for me from Jolie, Zack, and kids. My garbage disposal quit. Bill is putting in a new one for me tomorrow.

43° 32°. Cloudy day. Snow predicted. Bill installed a new garbage disposal for me. Should last ten years. I sent first Christmas cards. I washed clothes. Dorothy K called to say 13 are going to Shelby’s for VIP party. Merion Williams, 89 from here in car accident leaving parking lot. No injuries.

Ground white with snow very slippery. Lots of accidents. 32° and 18°. Coffee and donuts this morning. I went to it. I got more Christmas cards. I made dish of red and green Jello to take to church dinner tomorrow. Jolie called. Jim’s “Road Dog” party is tonight.

Cold. A nice day. 30° and 13° I went to church with Jim and Sherri. We had a covered dish dinner followed by the Sunday school program all put on by the young people. The Reimers are back in Watertown. Got here last night. They came to church. They are both doctors and have been missionaries in Africa the past few years. Jolie called in evening. Fire at Salmon Run Mall at Midnight. (Barkeaters Restaurant.) Lots of sirens.

Raining and slippery. I mailed more Christmas cards. Got one from McGowans. Alice F called. Also Jolie. Art H knee operation.

A cloudy damp day. 32° VIP Christmas party at Shelby’s 11:30 PM. Ten of us present. A delicious lunch and nice get together. I rode Para Transit bus. I talked with Lyla.

Cloudy day. I took bus to doctor’s office. The city is tearing down the American Hotel on the Square. I got several Christmas Cards. Sent some. Dr. LaPoint 10:45 AM. My BP 130/80. 144 pounds. Blood count a little low. Have to see her again in six weeks to check it. We didn’t play cards tonight. Tables are set up for banquet. I talked with Marge Thayer and Pauline Roggie. Pauline is going to Florida for the winter on December 29th. Jim called.

Raining. I went to exercise class. All there. We gave Dawn gift certificate. She brought us chocolate cupcakes. Centennial Christmas dinner. I called Vern and June. Shawn Michael’s birthday 10 years old. Jolie and Zack called in evening. Zack got home from Louisiana today. He had told Jolie he would be home the day before Christmas so he could surprise them. He called her on his cell phone making her think he was still away but was just outside their door. Madison wouldn’t have anything to do with him until he shaved off a mustache he had let grow while he was away.

Lots of snow over night. Oswego County got it this time. 38° and 28°. Doris H called in PM. Art went home from hospital today. Doing great. Talked with Jim. He went to Pulaski at 4 AM to plow first snow. I made peanut butter fudge. I got cute picture of Kristen and Sarah on a Christmas card. I went out in lobby to ear carolers from Stone Presbyterian church in evening.

Bright sunny day. I cleaned house. 12 hour prayer vigil at church. 7 AM to 7 PM. Jim, Sherri and I go from 1-2 PM. I cleaned floors.

Nice day. Raining hard in evening. We went to church. Nice musical service, choir and bell ringers. No Sunday school. I baked cake in PM. Sherri here in evening. She got me some cottage cheese at the store. Jolie called in evening. I also talked with Jim. Alice F called in evening.

36° and 30°. It started snowing hard here in the city about 2 PM. I was busy all day getting ready for tomorrow. Jim had a deer run into his truck on his way home from Nancy’s in evening. $2000 damage to his big truck.

Snowing lightly in morning but not a bad day. Sun out at Oswego. Vern, June, Jim, Jill and Shane here for dinner. Loads of food. Joel called. Also Jolie and kids. Lyla called in evening. She and Larry didn’t come to Marians because of the weather. Lyla said Virginia Delles died yesterday. I called Esther Taylor in evening. Jim called in evening to say he forgot to give Jill and I our gifts from Nancy. Jolie called in evening. Jim and Sherri called. They didn’t go to Massena.

28° and 19°. A bright sunny day. Cold. More snow on the way. I put food in freezer. Jim and Walt here. They went to store and had a battery put in my watch. $1.50. Jim brought me angel book from Nancy. Betty called. She will be here to clean tomorrow. 10 – 12 PM.

Lots of snow off and on all day. Windy. Betty Mahon, Jessie’s sister here to clean. Jessie in Florida. Jim Nash called to ask if I needed anything from store. I sent sympathy card to the Delles family. I sent note to Jill and Shane. Jolie called in evening.

Windy. Lots of snow around. Snowed more during PM. Dr. LaPoint 10 AM. We took a cab both ways. We got account changed over to me as new treasurer. Clayton is getting buried in the snow. Buffalo still getting snow over 7 feet.

Snowing hard about all day. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. Sherri Nash called to say their first great grandchild was born today. A little girl. Rev. Jane called to say they took Alice Flaherty to Carthage hospital today. They think she had a stroke. I called Karen L. I called Esther in evening.

Terrible stormy all day. Lots of accidents. We didn’t go to church or Sunday school. Jolie called. I called Juanita. Esther went to Syracuse hospital with heart trouble but they didn’t keep her there. Alice Porters 99th birthday. I called Vern and June in evening. Jolie called again in evening. She spent $45 to get my old Timex watch repaired just because it was mine. I didn’t pay that much for it years ago.

Still snowing. 29° and 22°. Police asks for no unnecessary travel in Jefferson and Lewis County. It cleared in afternoon and the sun peeked out for a while. Lots of snow everywhere. I talked with Lyla. Not too bad at Philadelphia. Pauline R left for Florida Friday with Donna and Howard. 2001 not too bad a year except for the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon buildings. Juanita called in evening. I saw the new year in with Jolie and kids at midnight on the phone.
