Cloudy and rainy. Tina here. Everything okay with Merrill. I called Jim at office. They had good trip to Ohio. Joel ran into snow on the way home. I sent book list today.

Raining and cloudy all day. Warm Merrill went to day care. Lyla took me to city to drug store We went to Walmart and Salmon Run Mall. Ate lunch at Mall, and stopped to see Sue. She was very busy. I got Merrill underwear and flannel shirt. I got Thihigh stockings. Vi called in evening. She had her appointment with Dr. Julie LaPoint. She and Martha liked her.

Nice day. I wish yesterday could have been like today. Warm They brought first fuel oil this fall. The tank held 84 gallons. Agway 91.1 a gal. Jolie here in PM. She had been to Antwerp school to see about Shawn Michael’s school pictures. I did some mending. Merrill raked some leaves.

Cloudy, sunny and rain by spells. I washed white clothes. We went for groceries in PM. We saw Terry Hall at store. He said Evelyn has a broken leg now. She broke her arm a while back. I’ll have to call her. The tractor run over her. Jim called from work. We had a nice visit. He liked Joel’s girlfriend. Her name is Carmielle Myers.

Raining in morning and most of day. We went to church. All Saints day and communion. 50 out to church. The choir sounded so great. The Woolworth store closed it’s doors today. All their stores are closed. They started in Watertown over 100 years ago. It’s sad to see them close.

A nice sunny day. Merrill put more wood in garage from cellar. He is back on that now that he hasn’t any more leaves to rake. He got up at 11 PM dressed and set in his chair all night. I made brownies this PM. Ken had dye test at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Took for hours. All clear except blood vessel aorta where aneurysm is.

Election day. Raining about all day. 40°. Jim called in morning. He’s been getting his winter wood. Also drawing some for Sue. We went up and voted about 11 AM. Lorraine Brancatella was working on election board.

Cloudy. Rain off and on 43°. Elgin called in early morning. He called Lyla last night but she wasn’t home. Elgan has a new 1998 candied apple red car. Merrill went to day care. They didn’t pick him up until 9:30 AM today. I talked with Lyla. Jim called to ask us about my cassette player.

A real nice day 57°. We went for groceries at noon. Merrill busy outside all day. He was very tired last night.

Cloudy. Merrill went to day care. Shawn Michael called in morning before school to tell me he lost two teeth last night. The tooth fairy left him $2.00. They are the first he’s lost any. Almost 6 years, December 20. I cleaned the carpets. They didn’t get cleaned last week. My back and left hip hurting terrible from it. I made peanut brittle but it wasn’t very good. It was hard for me to see it. Jolie called. She had her last wisdom tooth out today. Zack may have to go to Saudi. I hope not.

Sunny cold winds. I washed clothes. I hung the bed linens outside. Cold. We took garbage and recyclables. I called Ken’s in evening. Talked with Esther. Ken goes into hospital Tuesday at 10 AM. He has his operation at 12 noon. A five hour operation. They remove about eight inches of his aorta. He will be in hospital 10 days. I called Pauline in evening. Winifred was in St. Joseph’s Hospital from Monday to Thursday. Pauline was there with Keitha and 2 girls. They didn’t operate. He will have radiation treatments in Watertown.

Dark, rainy day. We went to church. Rosie and Elmer Gleason back from Florida for Bob and Eleanor’s 50th anniversary today. A surprise for Bob and Eleanor Henderson. Vern called in evening. Dan Robin and 3 guys at Vern’s this weekend. They came to attend Syracuse West Virginia game. Kathy had baby shower for Robin. Jim called on way home to Sackets from cabin. He drew wood for Sue today.

Cloudy. Tina? Alice Flaharity called. She is so thoughtful. Jolie and Zack here in PM. She brought my Tupperware stuff. Measuring cups and spoons. Also divided crystal ware microwave dish.

Sunny and cloudy by spells. Ken’s aneurism operation at St. Joseph’s hospital Syracuse at 12 noon. I called Roberta at 9:15 PM but she hadn’t heard from Syracuse. She didn’t go to hospital. She didn’t know if Hollis went to hospital. No mail but Times went. No lunches delivered today. I baked a cake. Roberta called me back about 10:30 PM She called the hospital. Ken got to ICU at 7 PM. Esther and Donnny left the hospital at 8 PM. Ken doing fine. Operation went okay. Roberta talked with his ICU nurse. Thank God he is okay.

Cold. Sunny. Snowed hard at 11 AM. Everything covered. Like winter. Merrill went to day care. He was awake and up most of the night. Rebekah’s. I went with Ginny. Seven there. December 10th out to eat. $3 to $4 gift for exchange. I washed dark clothes. Vern called in evening. I called Roberta. She wasn’t home but I talked with Bill. Ken’s blood pressure higher than it should be but he’s coming good. She didn’t go to see her dad today because of the snow. I called Jim at home. He took today and yesterday off to draw wood for Sue. He had doctor’s appointment today.

Sunny, very cold. Merrill got bundled up in all his Carheart clothes and has gone out to shovel snow. Not too much on the ground this morning. I washed white clothes. We went for groceries in AM. I sent Zack birthday card and $10.00. I sent Ken get well card with note. Lyla was over in PM. I called Esther but got the machine. Pauline called. Winnie went to city for radiation treatment but they didn’t give it to him. Told him to go home and get Hospice. Roberta called in evening. They had just got home from seeing Ken. He is okay but pretty tired. Esther and Tammy still in Syracuse. Ken’s room 2402. Ken is having hickups.

Lots of snow this morning. Oswego, Sandy Creek schools closed. Merrill didn’t go to day care. They called from transportation and said the roads were bad. Jim called at noon from work He has to have MRI Monday. He has been having dizzy spells. Vern called in evening. He has to go near Binghamton Monday on an assignment for the college. I hope the weather improves. It is a 3 hour drive for him.

Cloudy. Light snow. No sun. Zack’s 21st birthday. Merrill shoveled driveway. He ran vacuum cleaner on carpets this PM.

Snowed some over night. Cloudy day. Bill Henderson plowed our driveway. We didn’t go to church. Esther called in morning, 8 AM. Ken is going to have his two hernias operated on as they are getting so painful. Ken doing good. His operation took almost 6 hours. Esther said Don not good. His kidney not working form prostate. He has catheter bag now. Jolie called. Also Doris Haggerty. I called Ken. He sounds good. He has been up walking. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here in PM. Jim brought Merrill new black Velcro sneakers. Juanita called. Don’s kidney not working. She said Ken is coming home tomorrow.

Dark day but no snow or rain 32°. Transportation called about day after Thanksgiving for Merrill. I said yes. Jim has MRI test at 11 AM. Ken get home from Syracuse hospital. He has to go back later for his hernia’s operation. I called Vern’s in evening. He had just got home from his all day trip. He left at 4:30 AM. We had popcorn in evening.

Another cloudy day. Warmer. Jolie called. She gave Zack a 3 month old puppy for his birthday. Named Sascha. I renewed Times for six months. $83.20.Jolie called in PM also. Lyla called. I made appointment for Merrill with Dr. Mike for Thursday at 1 PM.

Warmer. Still cloudy. Merrill went to day care. He didn’t get home until almost 6 PM. I washed two loads of clothes. I sent Debby birthday card and letter. Shirley Lewis called. She sent Debby card also.

Nice day. Some sun. Warmer. Dr. Mike Hinman- Merrill 1 PM. He took blood for thyroid test. Gave Merrill Aricept pills for several weeks. We got stopped by a state policeman. Merrill pulled out in front of a car onto Route 11. We couldn’t find the car registration. Got groceries. Got a 20 pound turkey for a little over $5.00. Jolie called. Talked with Shawn Michael. Jim called from Sackets in evening. Jim called from Korea while we were talking.

Raining. Merrill went to day care. My 80th birthday. I called Vi in PM. Bill and Martha doing good. Margaret Hudson called to wish me Happy Birthday. Also Lyla and Jim. I called Juanita. Don and Ken doing okay. Ken very sore. Sue called me on he cell phone on her way home to wish me happy birthday. Shawn Michael and Shawn called to say happy birthday. Also Jill. She called from the mall. Jim has reenlisted to Fort Carson Colorado when his Korea tour is finished in August.

Cloudy. Ken and Esther called in morning. Ken is doing fine. Debby’s 39th birthday. I washed white clothes. Cleaned the stove. Jolie and Zack have in PM. They brought me a beautiful red rose and pretty card. They had their dog Sascha with them. She’s a nice little girl. Merrill enjoyed her.

Dark cloudy day. We didn’t go to church. Merrill was up and down all night. We were both tired this morning. Doris called in morning to say Winifred Haggerty 75 died about 2 AM this morning. I called Ken and Esther to tell them. Vern called in PM. They leave Wednesday morning for West Virginia. I called Vivian in PM. She and Clark are fine. They have an apartment rented in Florida for January, February and March. I made popcorn in evening.

Cold wind. Tomorrow at 7:30 Jill has cyst removed from her breast at Carthage Hospital. She had a couple removed from other breast a year ago. It was benign. I called transportation and day care to change Merrill’s December 5th to the 4th. He will come home with us. Vern had to go to Binghamton today for a student evaluation. I got a birthday card and long letter from Debby. I made apple and pumpkin pies for Thanksgiing. Jolie called. She didn’t get the job at Fort Drum. She said Joel is on the way home. Should get to Sackets tonight.

Cloudy some sleet and snow. Tina was here. She said Doris Aynes is in Genisis Nursing home now. Winnie’s funeral at Lowville 11 AM. We couldn’t go to it. I’ll have to write Keitha. Merrill cleaned floors. Jolie called in AM. Joel got home at 5 AM today. Jolie, Shawn Michael came out at supper time and took Shawn Michael and Merrill to Fort Drum to get their hair cut. Jim came out in evening with our medications from drug store. Jim has bought the Dr. Douglas house beside Adams Hotel. We looked at it before we bought our house here on Belile Road. 3 apartments.

Cloudy. Merrill went to day care. He sat in his chair from 10 PM on. Only slept in bed one hour. I got things ready for tomorrow. Lyla called. She and Kathy went to funeral home Monday night for Winifred. They didn’t get to funeral.

Thanksgiving. A real nice day. Cold wind sunny. Jim, Joel, Jil, Jolie, Zack, and Shawn Michael and dog Sascha here for 1:30 dinner. Jim worked until 1 PM. It’s so great to be together. We haven’t seen Joel since last May. He’s taller. Jill took me to store but it was closed. We got mouse traps at corner store. Zack set them and we caught a mouse shortly after. We saw Terry Hall at store. He said Evelyn and Howard left for Florida a few days ago. We caught two mice in evening with new traps Zack set for me.

Not a bad day. Merrill didn’t go to day care. It was raining and freezing on early in morning. I got house back in order and washed clothes, table cloths, towels, sleeping clothes, etc. Took care of left over food. Kids took some of them home with them. We caught a 3rd mouse in trap.

A beaufitul summer day. 40° Colorado got their 3rd bad snow fall this fall. Folks blame Elnino for strange weather. We started burning waste paper in cellar stove. We put covers over attic vents on windows. I cleaned kitchen and laundry room floors. I baked a cake. Another read bad snow storm I Colorado. A woman found dead buried under snow in her car. I called Huntresses for a rid to church tomorrow. I talked with ?

Another cloudy day. We have had a lot of them this month. Merrill up all night. We got very little sleep. Shirley called to say the roads are slippery. Wayne, Nancy and Alice came after us for church. Good to get back. We have missed 2 Sundays. I talked with Jolie, Zack and Jim.

Partly sunny. Cold wind. Dr. LaPoint blood work at 9:30 AM. Nothing to eat or drink for 12 hours before. Jim came out and got us and brought us home. He took us for groceries to Big M. We caught 4th mouse in trap. Merrill broke the trap setting it. Jennifer Drake and Shawn Bridge had baby girl, Hillary Anne.

A great sunny day. I sent Sue L birthday card and $10.00. Also put out food for urban missions. I washed white clothes. We got first Christmas card this year. It was from Howard and Evelyn from Florida. I talked with Jolie.

Not a bad day 14° this morning. Up to 37 this PM. Mostly sunny. Merrill went to day care. I got down part of Christmas decorations and put up some of them. I called Vi. Martha in Watertown hospital with cold chills. Vi very worried about her. Jolie, Zack, and Sasha here to borrow our car. She called in evening. She is going to take me to city tomorrow. I called Lyla to tell her. I had calls to confirm my doctor’s appointments tomorrow. I called Betty Rudes about Bill M’s address. Jim’s picture in tonights paper about neighborhood watch.

Raining about all day. Very icy north of here. Schools closed. Dr. LaPoint at 11:30 AM. Dr. Morten Richmon 1:45 PM. Everything great at Dr. LaPoint’s. (Sue’s birthday) Blood pressure 140/70. She cut medication in half. Weight 147 pounds. I don’t go back for 6 months. I wasn’t so lucky at eye doctor. Dr. Richmon. I have to have cataract off. I see Dr. Sanni February 10th. Jolie couldn’t take me today as Shawn Michael was sick and didn’t go to school. Elmer and Rosie Gleason took me. We ate dinner at Crystal. We brought Merrill home with us from day care. We shopped at Seaway Plaza. Jolie, Zack, Shawn Michael and Sasha here in evening to bring our car home.

Cloudy. A few snow flurries. I’m tired today. Merrill has slept some. I put up more Christmas decorations. Set up tree but couldn’t untangle lights. The Baptist church men brought us a most delicious dinner tonight. Tonight was their holiday dinner for senior citizens of Philadelphia. Lyla called this morning. Jim called in evening on his way home to Sackets.

Church Christmas bazaar. Sunday School putting it on. I didn’t help this year in anyway for first time. I got Christmas tree decorations on and the rest of the house decorated. We didn’t have lights for tree as Merrill snarled them so bad trying to unsnarl them. More fun. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. It feels good to get house back in order. Jolie called this AM. She had lost her purse and thought she might have left it in our car.

Not a bad day. Slippery in morning but thawed later. Wayne came after us for church. 26 out. Communion. They made over $500.00 on the bazaar for Sunday School. I bought 2 dozen home made donuts @ $3.00 a dozen. Delicious. I also got place mats to give to Ginny. $2.00. Jolie called, Zack left for training until December 17th on Fort Drum. Jolie lost her purse.

Cloudy all day. I washed all my slacks and blouses. Merrill has slept a lot today He slept in his chair all night last night.

Another cloudy day. I called telephone company. Still with AT&T. Tina and Barb T here. Merrill may go to day care on Monday’s also after the first of the years. I may also let a housekeeper come 2 hours a week. I gave Mona Graves back issues of Guidepost magazine when she brought our lunches. I wrapped gift for tomorrow. Vi called in PM. Martha just got out of hospital yesterday. She had infection. I sent 2 eye drop prescriptions to Pharmhouse.

A nice day. A little sun. Merrill went to day care. He got home early 4:00 PM. Vi and Vivian called about ride to restaurant. Rebakah’s go out to eat at noon at Norma Jean’s near Fargo’s. Exchange of $3 or $4 gift. I rode with Edna Backus. 12 Rebakah’s out. Very nice dinner and good to see everyone. Got 2 anniversary cards. Bea and Art and Doris. It is in Times that Linda Beleile has been made a Master Sergeant in the reserves.

Our 62nd anniversary. No special celebration. It’s hard to believe we have been married that long. Jolie and friend here awhile. They had taken Shawn Michael to school to Antwerp. I let Jolie borrow my first set of rings while she is getting hers fixed. Lyla was here in PM. She had been to store. Vivian called in PM. Jim has been on news today about neighborhood watch program. Jim called from Post meeting in evening.

Cloudy a little snow over night. Merrill went to day care. His bus was an hour later picking him up. Lyla took me over town for groceries and to the bank. Lyla was here for lunch. We went down to Manor and visited Diane and Marion S. Lyla interested in getting an apartment there. Joel got picked up for DWI at 1:30 this morning. Also Marijuana. He lost his driver’s license.

Very snowy and slippery. Snowed about all day. Clark T and Merrill took our garbage and recyclables this morning. Good to get rid of them It has been over a month since we took them. Got4 new bags for future use. $6.00 I got Christmas money gifts ready for tree Wish I could see to buy them gifts but they will have to buy their own. Dawn K gave me cute money gift envelopes at the bank. Merrill cleaned floors. The 10th mountain army band is over here at the school theatre tonight. Wish I could hear them. A Christmas snow. Jim called on way to cabin. Ashley with him. Sue with her car. It was snowing. Nice here.

Cold but sunny -2° We went to church. Wayne came for us. 49 out. Jim, Sue, Ashley here in PM. Jim fixed colored lights for me. He took 22 rifle and shells home with him. I didn’t feel safe with them in the house with Merrill the way he is. Heather Boschock brought us bag of fruit candy and cakes from church. Youth group packed them this year. Merrill very upset in evening. I called Jim but he wasn’t home. We talked with Joel.

Cold and sunny. Much warmer by evening. 39°. Call Dr. Powell for appointment for check up and Xrays of hip and knee. Merrill took screws out of door chain and got out doors at 1:30 AM. He went down to Boschocks and woke them up. Bob brought him home. Jolie and Shawn Michael called.

A great day. Sunny and warm. We got box of candy from Hagans. Merrill up all night again. He pulled the back door casing off and got outside at 2:30 AM. He went back to Bob and Sue’s like last night. Bob brought him home. Merrill didn’t have any pants on. Merrill slept about 1 hour. I didn’t get any sleep. I called Jim and Joel at 2:30 AM. I talked with Tina and Dr. Mike. Tina is setting it up for Merrill to go to day care on Mondays. Mike said to double Merrill’s nighttime medication. I called Lyla. Sue L called from home. She came out and took Merrill up to cabin. Vern called in evening. He wanted to come up and take me shopping tomorrow but I’m too tired. I have to go to city Friday.
