Diary Entry for 11/8/1997

Sunny cold winds. I washed clothes. I hung the bed linens outside. Cold. We took garbage and recyclables. I called Ken’s in evening. Talked with Esther. Ken goes into hospital Tuesday at 10 AM. He has his operation at 12 noon. A five hour operation. They remove about eight inches of his aorta. He will be in hospital 10 days. I called Pauline in evening. Winifred was in St. Joseph’s Hospital from Monday to Thursday. Pauline was there with Keitha and 2 girls. They didn’t operate. He will have radiation treatments in Watertown.
