We went to Gouverneur in AM. Raining. I went to Past Noble Grands at Beaches. We gave gift to Emma & Elsie.

Memory LaBarge married today. We went to Oswego to see Vernon. Had chicken dinner in cafeteria. Went to church at Oswego.

Wrote Mom & Dad. Sent birthday card & letter to Dad Tryon.

Got letter from Mom. Dr. Summa told Dad nothing could be done for his eye. Installed Natural Bridge lodge.

Took Jim to Theresa for “Trick or Treat” Raining. Got note from Juanita. Donna goes to Dr. on November 10th.

Got gift for Memory LaBarge Young. Pair of pillow cases.

Rained some. Still warm. Jim stayed after school for basketball practice. Merrill finished plowing.

Jimmy is 5 feet 2 1/2 inches tall. Weighs 90 pounds. Age 13. Got new winter tires put on car. $60.00.

Went out home for dinner. Don isn’t feeling too good yet. Dad in good spirits even after seeing Dr. Summa.

Beautiful day. Merrill went to lodge. Merrill paid Lyle Hall Farm Bureau dues.

Election day. Beautiful day. I went to Antwerp & voted after work . Merrill went over with Carleton.

Sent order to Spiegel for coat.

Colder today. Baked cakes. Cleaned. Wrote Vernon.

Snow flurries. Also thunder & lightning. Juanita & Donna came home with me tonight. Josephine paid me.

We took Juanita & Donna to Cornwall to see Dr. Gaurely. Very nice trip. Don was here for supper. Came after Juanita & Donna.

Lazy day. Everybody tired.

Car stalled on way home. Merrill went to lodge.

Warm today. Has been real warm weather for some time.

Took Jim to Aunt Lila’s for party for Janice Walts. We all went to lodge. Party for Win & Elsie Bacon. 50 year anniversary.

Very warm today. About 75°. Merrill put on barn roof for Howard. Sent in pictures.

Took car to Gouverneur in AM. Had water pump put on it. $11.92. Merrill put on door at Rappole’s barn. Jim & I went to Theresa in evening. Jim got hair cut.

Washed & ironed. Aunt Cora, Uncle Charlie, & another couple were here in PM.

Vern get home for vacation. Got birthday cards from Mom & Uncle Berle. Waited in city for Vernon until 6:00. Got turkey at Loblaws. Nellie paid me.

Very rainy all day. No riders home tonight. They came early.

Thanksgiving. We went out home for dinner. Real snowy out there. Got stuck in Dad’s drive. No snow here at all. Sun shining. Merrill gave me $10.00 for my birthday.

Roads very slippery in morning. Boys cleaned house. Waxed kitchen floor. Vern did some of his washing. Merrill started chimney base for Barker’s.

We all went to church. Boys didn’t go back to school in evening. Too stormy.

Stormy today. Merrill finished work at Schell’s. Miss Jennie Mack died suddenly at Holly Austin’s.

Cold today. Roads still slippery. Lena Norton rode home with us tonight.

Had to work in AM. Jim went to city with me. Terrible stormy. Terrible driving. Got TV. Cost $8.25. Merrill got hair cut.

Haven’t felt good all day. Cleaned. Merrill & Jim went up to Philadelphia in PM. Beulah called tonight. Took Les to hospital today.

W.S.C.S. in evening. Christmas party at Marg Walters. 22 present. I went. Quite cold in evening.

Merrill helped Shorty Hill build chimney at Barkers. Ivan Hale took him up to Philadelphia. He came home with me.

Didn’t feel good all day. Washed clothes. Cleaned. Didn’t go to church.

Josephine paid me $5.00. Merrill went to lodge. Howard Allen is in hospital.

Got letter from Mom & Mother Tryon. Ronnie is living with them. Marilyn & Dean have parted. Merrill called Tony about radio.

Lodge Christmas party. 31 present. I went. Nice time. Got my quilt I won on raffle. Very nice. Got World Globe from club.

Power was off for 4 hours in evening. Home Bureau card party at Dot Allen’s but I didn’t go. Roads very icy again.

Had 15 Past Noble Grands here in evening for Christmas Party. Merrill & Jim went over to Howard’s. Got package from Uncle Berle. Eva Delles was my Secret Pal.

4-H party at Kiechle’s. Vi Mower’s birthday. Rained hard. Had nice 4-H party.
