Cold and sunny. Hall family arrived about 11:15. They all had lunch here. Geneva, Bob, Ken, Lois, Cathy, Carl, Marilyn and Rick. David, 17, didn’t come. Went to funeral home in PM and evening. Rebekah had service. Carl, Marilyn, and Rick stayed with us.

Brennon Kavanaugh’s 1st birthday. Beulah Hall’s funeral. Quite a few out. Rebekah’s had dinner for family at Vivian Myers afterwards. We went. Joe, Lois and Carrie also. Carl left about 5 PM. Merrill went to church, 99 out. Had coffee hour after church.

Talked with Marg. She is good. Still cold but nice day. I’ve felt lazy all day. Arms ache. Gave Boots a bath. Merrill went over town to bank and store. Ron’s Big M store had an armed robbery last night at 8:30. $345 taken.

Still cold but warmer in PM. Washed clothes.

Clinic. Aunt Maude and I went. Blood count 12.25. Blood pressure 136/90. Went to see Marg. Got eye drops and medicine and needles. Got Blue Cross check for $15. Got letter from Vern’s. Jim was at hospital. Pauline Garmon Roggie left today to run a store at Lowville. She was at hospital to see Marg.

Week of Prayer and Self Denial at church, 7:30 PM. Aunt Maude and I went. Carol rode home. Also Becky T. About 20 out to it. Wrote Vern’s. Beautiful day, Up to 27° but down to zero in PM.

Still cold but beautiful day. Sink drain partially frozen. Merrill went for groceries. Made pop corn in evening. Talked with Marg. Evelyn S called.

Zero this morning. Up to 25° during day. Sunny. Merrill cleaned floors. Got turkey ready to roast tomorrow. Got stuff ready for dressing. Got card from Bill and Vi from Florida, and thanks you’s from Hall family.

Another beautiful day. We went to church. 106 out. Roasted turkey and dressing. Jim’s didn’t come out as planned.

My arthritis bad today. Can hardly use right hand and arm. Washed colored clothes. Merrill cut up turkey. Merrill and Ray Petrie boarded up church window.

Sent Joel card, note and $5. My arthritis is terrible. No work done. Merrill washed dishes. Snow flurries. Called Marg.

Joel’s 4th birthday. Olympic Games open at Lake Placid today. Watched it on TV. Snowing.

Still snowing off and on. Patty called. Jim’s back is bothering. His knees bother. He’s working. Wrote Mother T. Sent her birthday card. Carl and Evelyn’s 52nd anniversary.

We went over town for groceries. Not a bad day. Howard and Evelyn left for Florida and Nashville. Delles and Pat went with them.

Mother Tryon’s 90th birthday. Dennis Crowner got water pipes to thawed. Charged us $40. $50 in all. Good to have water again. Bathroom drain still frozen. Merrill went to parsonage. Faucet broke in cellar. Snowed some during night.

Dick and Evelyn Scee’s marriage at Fowler today. Nice day. We went to church. Went down to Jim’s in PM. Merrill cut some wood for them. Stopped at hospital to see Marg on way home. Jim’s better.

Snowing off and on all day. Darrel Eggleston hurt in snow mobile accident. Head injury. No mail. Times went. Vacation week at school.

Jill’s 5th birthday. Warmer. I called her birthday into WNC2 radio station. Carl and Evelyn got home from Dicks. Terrible rains continue in California. Lots of mud slides.

Got fuel oil yesterday @ .94.9 a gallon. B-12 shot. Washed clothes. Warm, 51°. still raining in California. Lots of damage there.

Cloudy. Went over town for groceries. Called Jim and Marg. Jim went back to work yesterday, Wednesday. Rest fine now. Patty didn’t get it. Marg goes home tomorrow. Minnie Pike, 93 died today.

Dan’s 13th birthday. Beautiful day. In 30’s. Patty called. They are coming out tomorrow. Watched Olympics. Rebekah’s went to funeral home for Minnie at 8 PM. Aunt Maude and Ruth Schell went with us.

We went to church. Minnie Pike funeral today. Jim’s here in PM and supper. They are getting over their flu. US Hockey team won gold medal in Olympics. beat Russia.

School kids go back to Philadelphia school this morning after remodeling job. Kindergarten moved out of CEC. Got letter from Uncle Berl.

Dr. Scanlon, 1:30. Everything OK. CBC at hospital, $30.95. Called Beulah. Couldn’t get Marg’s. Got 1/2 bushel of apples at Johnnies, $3.99

B-12. Rebekah’s. No meeting as no one went to Lodge. Snowing off and on all day. My arthritis bad today.

Pastor-Parish meeting at Mills. All present. District Superintendent conducted meeting on new pastor. I went with Margaret and Marilyn. Beautiful day but cold. Vern’s called in evening. Got letter from Vern’s. Got card from Hall’s from Florida.

Leap Year. Called Dr. Roberts. No more B-12 shots. Blood count 11.1. Continue iron shots. Got letter from Leslie. Orv’s birthday, 76. Very cold. Went for groceries. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned. Cheryl and Elizabeth here selling cookies. Gave Cheryl $5 toward gift for Carol M. Vern’s here at 6:30 PM.

Vern, June and boys left about 3 PM. June and boys got in a lot of skiing. Glenda gave me 5 cc iron shots. We got thank you from Geneva and Bob Gillian.

Real cold. -20° below zero. We went to church. Jim gets home from Albany. Explorer conference. Went yesterday. St. Judes TV Telethon on WWNY. Raised over $18,000.

Not as cold. -5°. Much warmer in evening. Sent for tax and fuel rebates. Wrote Don’s. Also Dr. Roberts for needles prescription.

Much warmer today. Wrote Angie. Ruth Eggleston here to visit in AM.

We went to city for Imferon, eye drops, and needles. Merrill got his chain saw from Bob’s. $4.50. Merrill renewed his driver license, $4. Rainy. Got prescriptions from Dr. Roberts. Glenda came in early evening to give me 5 cc iron shot. We went to IRS office. We don’t have to file returns.

UMW at Leah’s. 7:30. 18 out. Washed clothes. Business meeting.

World Day of Prayer at Mills, 8 PM. I didn’t go. Snowing in morning. I made cookies and cakes.

Card party at Edna’s. Nice time. Neville’s, Mowers, Simonds, Lowry’s, Schell’s, Chamberlains,Tryon’s. Glenda gave me 3rd iron shot. Merrill cleaned church. He took up torn carpet by door. Esther has asked him to build steps to pulpit.

Joey’s 6th birthday. Gave him a card. Jim and kids here for supper. Patty was out with her Dad. We went to church, 85 there. Grace Tryon called in PM. Mother quite a care.

Uncle Berl’s 87th birthday. I sent him card and letter. Washed my hair. Raining in evening. Glenda here to give me iron shot, 4th time.

Wrote Vern’s. Colder and windy. Merrill went to parsonage to get water out of basement. He made wider steps onto pulpit at church.

Cheryl Ashley got deed to Aunt Maude’s house. Glenda gave me iron shot. Evelyn talked with Ralph’s. He is still in the hospital. Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. I haven’t felt good this PM. Merrill run cleaner. Lyla said, Marg, Roy and Beulah to hospital to see Clara.

Carol Matteson surprise shower. Good turn out and nice time. Merrill helped Terry get a load of wood shavings at Carthage. Evelyn gave him $10. Washed clothes and bedding. Snowing in evening. I feel better than yesterday.

Nice day here but stormy north and south of us. Wrote Leslie. Merrill put candles in at church. Marion Rockwood called. All are well in Hanson family. Got nice letter from Vern’s.

St. Patrick’s Day. I had lab tests at hospital, $24.03. Got Imferon and needles at Fays, $49.50. A beautiful warm day, 55-60°. We stopped to see Rose Petrie on way to city. We went to Theresa Bank.

Thunder and lightening at 4 AM. Dr. Roberts called. My blood count is 10.9. I’m to take B-12 once a week. Imferon 3 times a week. Have to go to Upstate, Syracuse for tests next month. Boots caught a mouse. Washed clothes. Glenda here to give me shot. Jim called.

48°. Beautiful day. Merrill got wash basin drain thawed finally. Took off insulation under house. Jimmy Collins here selling candy for scouts.

First day of spring. Warm. Merrill saw 2 robins for first on back lawn. We went for groceries. Water in parsonage basement. Got letter from Leslie. Mother is at Elmer’s now. Glenda gave me shot. Matzell’s moved more furniture today.

Cloudy, and rainy. Very warm. Lots of water in parsonage again. Fireman pumped it out. I’ve felt horrid all day. Sore and lame. Merrill got card and note from Don’s. New pastor and wife coming March 31st for interview.

Merrill’s 71st birthday. Chuck Hotaling, 51, funeral. Merrill called Pearl. She is 82. Lives at Hilltop Towers. Merrill went to dump. New neighbors moved in at Matzell’s house. Glenda here to give me shots. Vern called in evening. Also Marg. All well. June R and girls brought Merrill box of candy.
