Charge Conference at CEC. We went to meeting. Not too many out. Good meeting. I worked all day writing reports. Feel terrible. Merrill worked at Hall’s. Didn’t get home until 6 PM. Worked 9 hours plowing.

Sent another letter to Wards about August order, 2 bras. Sent Ruth Eggleston card in hospital, knee operation. Merrill worked at Hall’s all day. Patty called about Thanksgiving. Wrote Uncle Berl. Feel pretty good today.

Veteran’s Day. No mail. Times delivered. Jim, Pat and kids here. Jim brought Van and got load of wood. Vern and June called. Patty called. Got groceries. Now Dimensions at Evans Mills.

Now Dimensions are at church. Merrill went to church. I didn’t feel up to it. 117 out. Covered dish in CEC. Colder. Lazy day. Walter Tripp, 78, Nora Ponzi’s stepfather, shot himself.

Merrill worked at Hall’s. I feel some better today. Called some about Agway supper.

Agway Supper. We went to supper and we didn’t work. Got B-12 from Marilyn. Merrill won thermometer at meeting. Raining. Joel fell and had 2 stitches in his head. Patty called. Jim has his tonsils out November 21.

Got air filter and antenna for car. Dr. Roberts 10:30. Blood count of 3. He started me on iron capsules again. Ferro-Sequels. Stopped at Beulah’s. Roy and Marg there on way to foot doctor. Marg had nose bleed. Called Patty. Debby, and June R.

Merrill worked at Halls. I feel better today. Got groceries. Got Vi’s Christmas catalogs.

Sent my drivers renewal, $4. Raining and very windy. I got B-12 shot from Marilyn in PM. Merrill put in storm windows at Hank Schell’s. I feel better today.

Still windy. Let up in PM. Washed clothes. Made apple crisp. Got letter and birthday card from Uncle Berl. Dot coming OK.

We went to church. Good turn out. Jim’s here for PM and supper. Took home load of wood in Van. Kids and Jim’s gave me cute birthday cards.

PNG’s at Margurite B. I didn’t go. Jim goes into hospital this PM. Vern had water test at Dr. Scanlon’s. No sign of glaucoma. Will do it again in 6 months. Cold. Merrill finished Schell storm windows, $12. I went through Christmas catalogs. Got card from Gehm’s.

Called Vern’s. Talked with Margarite. Jim’s tonsil operation. Dr. Pecham. He didn’t do too well during operation. Merrill and I stayed with kids at Sackets all day. Went to hospital on way home. Patty called Marg. My 61st birthday. Just another day.

B-12 shot. Got it at Marilyn’s. Car wouldn’t start and garage not open. Called Ray Petrie. Gave him $2. Jim not good. Patty spent most of day at hospital. We stayed with kids.

Merrill put in French window pane at Jim’s. Thanksgiving. We went to Sackets. I’ve felt horrid all day. We came home early. 4 PM. Jim still very sick. We called Vern’s. Canceled Saturday get together. 4 inches of snow in Oswego. Ground white here this PM.

Called Dr. Roberts. I’m to continue B-12 shots once a week after next two. Call him in one week. I didn’t get dressed all day. Feel horrid. Merrill went for groceries.

Patty called. Jim is getting out of hospital today. We didn’t go to Sackets. My throat very sore.

Marg went into hospital. Merrill went to church. My throat very sore. Cold, but nice. Down to 12° last night. Windows covered with frost. Called Jim’s. He is feeling and eating better.

Snow plow was by for first. Sent Christmas orders to Pennys and Sears. Ground white with snow for first this fall. My throat not so sore tonight.

Donna’s, 2 PM. Got my hair cut. B-12 shot at Marilyn’s. We got groceries. Joyce Griffin had lunch with us. Brought Margaret K cake pans. Snowing some but warmer.

Nice day. Merrill helped Evelyn and Hal get heifers in AM. We went to city and to Jim’s. Had super with them. Merrill left chain saw at Sixberries. Got letter from Beulah. They took Marg to hospital Sunday. I got brown hat.

Ecumenical supper at Legion. We didn’t go. Went after groceries. I made sugar mold cake decorations. Merrill called Mills, Chain saw not ready. I called Norma about enrollment.

Called Marg at hospital. She has cancer. Esther Taylor here to help make cup cakes. We made 139. Esther here for lunch. Merrill went to get her. Snowed hard in AM. I got B-12 shot from Marilyn. Merrill started Esther’s snow blower. Got letter from Pauline Cornish. All well at Wolcott.

Lindsey Griffin wedding to Len Myers. Esther, Sina, Margaret and I served refreshments. Joyce gave us poinsettia plants. Got first Christmas card from Ponzi’s. Merrill helped draw hay at Horton’s all day. Wrote Dot. Got letter from June. Power off in evening.

Very cold in morning. We went to church. Jim’s here in PM and supper. Kenny and Jeff Rudes here also. Jim looks and acted so much better now. Raining in evening. Slippery.

Wrote Vern’s. Went to hospital to see Marg. She has temperature so may not have operation. Aunt Maude went with us. Got package from Penny’s. Also 2 boxes from Montgomery Ward. I am getting a cold. Administrative Board meeting. We went.

Today would have been Uncle Berl and Aunt Mildred’s 60th wedding anniversary. Merrill helped Howard in PM. I spent most of day washing clothes. Marg had operation, colonostomy. Beulah called.

Dr. Scanlon 10 AM, $20. No change in eyes thank goodness. Did some Christmas shopping. Went to hospital to see Marg. She is in ICU but doing pretty good. She is weak.

UMW. I didn’t go. Doris Haggerty called in evening. I’ve felt horrid all day. Nothing done. Merrill put up Christmas lights and got candles out. Wrote Vern’s.

Got card and $10 from Dot Medina. Called Dr. Roberts. See him on the 18th. Continue B-12 once a week. Merrill worked at Howard’s in PM. Got B-12 shot. Got groceries. I baked cakes and bread. Sent Roy card. Sent light bill, $70.77.

Freezing rain last night. Put up rest of decorations. Got package from Sears. Merrill went to Mills for chain saw. Cost $20. I’m very achy all day. Movie at church but we didn’t go. Called Mrs. Cameron. Marg not good she said. She is still in ICU.

Cold but nice. We went to church. Lazy day. Used Christmas lights on front porch for first. Jim’s went to PBA Christmas party.

Our 43rd anniversary. We went to city. Marg still in ICU, 1 week today. But they are moving her to room 435 today. Finished Christmas shopping. Saw Jim at Woolworths. Snowing terrible at city. None here.

Merrill worked at Halls all day. I got Uncle Berl and Dots package ready to send. Wrapped some gifts. Addressed cards in evening. It is in tonight’s paper about Jim’s composite kit of hold up youth. Also Jim’s picture of kid. Warmer tonight. Esther called asking me to collect for Cameron’s gift.

Sent package to Uncle Berl and Dot, $3. Sent first cards. Merrill took them over. Rebekah and PNG’s Christmas party. Had supper at 6:30. 20 present. Lyla saw Marg. She was having x-rays for upset stomach. Merrill got tree at Fargo’s, $2.50.

Got note from June. We set up tree. Decorated it. Got last of cards and letters ready in evening. I cleaned living room. Merrill did rest of house. Merrill used his snow blower for first to clean by mail box.

Sent rest of Christmas cards. We went to hospital to see Marg. Lula went out to city with us. Got B-12 shot at Marilyn’s.Got more Christmas cards with notes from people.

Jim and kids came for rest of wood. Patty Christmas shopping. I finished wrapping gifts. Bob Griffin here in AM. I made fudge. Got Jolie, Jill and Joel’s pictures, so cute. A beautiful day. Gary B got home from Germany. Washed.

Sunday School program, 7:30. We went to church. Stormy. My arms are lame and aching. We didn’t go in evening. Very windy and snowy in morning. Marg was to go home from hospital today.

Dr. Robert’s, 12 noon, $19. Blood count is up to 11. Took blood for CBC at hospital. Aunt Maude is in hospital. Marg still there. She has infection. Had lunch at Ken’s. Called Don’s. M Landis brought Christmas cookies in evening.

I helped pack shut in boxes. Gave to 29 people this year. Merrill, Vi and I delivered around Philadelphia. Joyce here in PM. Brought us donuts and cookies. Got card and poem from June, Vern and boys. They didn’t take any tests of Aunt Maude today. I called Cheryl in evening.

I sent lst of Christmas cards today. Will write Decker’s in Brazil later. Called Cheryl. Aunt Maude is about the same. Marg also. I made 4 loaves of pumpkin bread, 1 white bread and muffins. Freezing rain in evening.

Very stormy in AM. Very slippery roads. School delayed here. Some are closed. Washed clothes.

Called Dr. Roberts. To see him in month. Got B-12 shot in PM from Marilyn. Got groceries. Florence and Earl Yerdon here in PM and supper. Snowy in morning.

Got things packed to go to Oswego. Made salad. Washed my hair. Called Robbins to come check furnace. Put new nozzle on it, $15.

Vern’s and us went to Christmas eve service in Minetto. A beautiful day. We got there about 11 AM. Jim and Mr. Puffer got there soon after us. Had turkey dinner. All got nice gifts.

It was so stormy, we didn’t try to come home. Snowed all day. A lazy day but very relaxing. Jim’s called to tell us to stay at Vern’s. Stormy at Sackets and city.

We got home today. Sun out at Oswego but run into snow at Port Ontario. We had lunch with Patty and kids. Snowed hard from Sackets to Calcium. Clear here. Merrill cleared driveway. I called Beulah in evening. Marg better. We didn’t’ stop to see her as it was too stormy.

Sent Farm report. Wrote Vern’s. Lazy day all tired. I went to Rebekah’s in evening. Only 9 out. Colder in evening.

Marilyn came and gave me B-12 shot on their way to Oneonta. I made 2 apple pies for freezer. I went to Pastor Parish meeting at Evans Mills. D Wayne Watson voted to become minister.
