We went to church, 120 out. MYF had week end retreat at CEC. 30 kids. Snowing some. Stopped at store Wrote Aunt Keitha in Washington.

Snowed some about all day. Clear in evening. Lola Wilson and Bob F called about gas stove at church. Made two kinds of cookies. Washed my hair.

UMW at CEC, 7:30. Exchange student Mike Kenny, Australia spoke. Very nice, 20 there. Matt, Merrill, Floyd also. I went to Bible Study. A good turnout. Got B-12 shot from Marilyn. A nice day.

Lazy day. Got newsletter yesterday from Vern Tryon, pilot in Nigeria. June sent it. Is in T & C tonight that Mildred Beardsley is in Bay Hospital.

Snowy and rainy. Thawing in evening. Lazy day all day. Wrote June and Vern and Uncle Berl in evening.

World Day of Prayer, CEC, 7:30. 16 present. We went for groceries. Merrill and Boots went to Theresa for belt bat. Sent letters. Send card to Elsie in hospital.

Nice day but cold wind. Merrill helped move piano from church to parsonage. 7 men. Vern, June and boys called. Are going to Jim’s tomorrow.

Beautiful day but cold. Went to church. Carrie T. rode. Went to Aunt Maude’s for doily for June. Went to Sackets in PM. Jim was working. Vern, June and boys there to see baby. Jolie came home with us. Jim’s have new car. Got it Tuesday. A Pacer.

4-H Dress Rehearsal, 7:30. I didn’t go. Jim, Pat and Jill came out. Jolie went home. Jill’s first time here. She is 19 days old. Merrill went to IOOF in evening. Uncle Berl’s 82nd birthday.

Michael Payne went to hospital. A beautiful day. I went to Bible Study with Ruth. In hospital, Lois, gall bladder and Esther T. Kidney’s. Elsie B can come home as they have found someone to stay with her. Merrill paid $20 to join National Federation of Independent Businesses.

I didn’t go to Rebekah’s. Cloudy, windy day. Some rain. Merrill got a load of wood. Got letter from Aunt Keitha, in Washington. June and Vern called in evening. Are coming April 18th instead of the 4th.

4-H Dress Review., 7 PM. I didn’t go. Marie, Alison, Nora and Linda went. A nice day. Doris haggerty called. Made donuts.

Washed my hair. Nice day. Merrill cut wood. Washed rugs. My dishwasher isn’t working. Quit last night. Aristotle Onassis, 69, died last night. Jackie Kennedy’s husband.

We went to church. 127 there. We went out to Mom’s after church. Bowman’s were at Ken’s. Talked with Olive and Roberta.

Boots and I wore green today. Merrill cut wood. I washed clothes. Washed windows. A real nice day. Mike Payne came home from Syracuse hospital. Merrill went to IOOF installation at Theresa. 35 there. Merrill’s chaplain again.

Alison’s 9th birthday. Jim, Pat, Jolie and Jill here for supper. Merrill and Jim cut wood. Jim paid for beef, $100. I went to Bible Study with Pearl. Had call asking me to take charge of cancer drive. Audrey Puffer called.

Rainy all day and evening. Talked with Esther. Vi and Ernie B went to Uncle’s funeral in Canada.

Still raining. Merrill cut wood in PM. Merrill got card and letter from Uncle Berl.

Dr. Scanlon 2 PM. Cost $21. I’ve lost some sight. He changed drops to 1 1/2%. Got them at fays, $4.10. Got to go to Kingston hospital in May or June. Saw Jim. Got fruit at Johnnies. Merrill got cards and letters from Vern’s, Marg’s and Gladys.

Merrill’s 66th birthday. I was sick all day. He got card and note from Don’s. Windy, Washed my hair.

Palm Sunday, 160 at church. Art and Doris H. had baby baptized. 3 others. Wrote letters in PM. Vern goes to Cincinnati, Ohio today. Ruth went with us to church They have new white car.

Administrative Board meeting, 8 PM. 15 there. Good meeting. Rainy. Thunder storm in evening. Jim, Pat and girls here for supper. Jill growing and Jolie busy. They are so cute.

I went to Bible Study with Ruth and Pearl. Merrill got hair cut at Theresa. Merrill got birthday cards from Mother T, Leslie and Grace. Got card from Beulah Hall. She is coming in June.

Rebekah’s at Marguerites. I didn’t go. Too tired. Made rolls and donuts. Got Easter cards and letter from Vern’s. June’s folks have bought mobile home in Florida.

Nice day but cold. Made cookies. Maundy Thursday Communion service at church. Quite a few from Evans Mills, 79 out to it. First time since October except for Jim McEtherin.

4-H Garden seed order in. Sent $11.40 order. Aunt Maude called in AM. Cheryl and 3 other women left for West Virginia to Jamboree. We went to Good Friday service at Evans Mils in evening.

Got card from Vern from Cincinnati, Ohio. Dark cloudy day. Made mince pie and salad for tomorrow. Cleaned. Deputy Sheriff brought Cancer Crusade material.

Easter Sunday. I went to sunrise service. Just great, church full. They had 150 at breakfast. I didn’t stay for it. 175 at 11 AM service. Also great. We went for ride in PM after roast chicken dinner. Cool with a few snow flurries.

I called Leah about crusaders leaving Cancer money at her place. She said they could. Nice day but cold wind still.

UMW, 8 PM at CEC. 12 out. Vi and Marilyn on committee. Vern, June and Dan called. Gehm’s move into new mobile home tomorrow. Bible Study, 11 out, 2 kids. Gave out first Cancer envelopes. John Rose, 37 died.

Adult Clinic. 10:15 AM. SMA blood tests. Dr. Roberts 3 PM. He changed my shots to every three weeks. Got fruit at Johnnies. Called Jim’s. Jolie wanted us to come down. Saw Ethel at Co-op store.

Stormy all day. Freezing rain. I had headache all day. Talked with Esther, Vi, Mary and Aunt Maude. Wake for Nancy Rose’s husband, John. We didn’t go.

No school. First time this winter because of storm. 4-H Food lesson, 7 PM canceled because it was too stormy. Got note from Vern’s. Sent brochure on Modular Exploration of Technology Series. Vern is one of the authors of these books.

Aunt Keitha get home from Washington. Still stormy. Gave Boots bath. We went to Philadelphia for groceries. Lots of snow in places. Slippery. Heard on late news someone tried to run Jim down on Arcade Street tonight. Washed my hair.

Beginning of Cancer Crusade. We went to church. Furnace off. Church cold. 120 out. Was supposed to be communion but no one told Leah too prepare it. I baked apple pie and chocolate chip cookies in evening.

Wrote Vern’s. Beulah and Nancy Rose. Sent income tax forms, Social Security and gas tax refund, $134.03 and $22.70. I went to Philadelphia in evening to give out Cancer envelopes.

Ecumenical covered dish supper at CEC. Catholics hosted it. Nice time. Rev. Cameron and Father Vitraw there. I went to Bible Study. Delivered Cancer envelopes. Jim, Pat and girls here for supper. They brought Dad fireplace tongs and dress shirt.

Boots and I delivered rest of Cancer envelopes. Went to Hales to report phone out. Keith DeGraw won’t let anyone use it. I went to Lodge in evening.

Got $45 for two calves, 2 weeks old. Went to Philadelphia for groceries. Heard at store that Jump Lawton was found dead in the field. Stopped at church. Bob F and Mr. Heath have robe closet all made. Got letter from June.

District meeting PNG at Antwerp. I went with Vi. 53 voted. Leah Simonds elected DDP as no one else wanted it. Merrill cut wood. Michael Payne back in Syracuse Hospital.

Dad has been gone 15 years today. We went out to Mom’s. Went to Garns to see about bathroom outfit. Got eye drops at Fays. Juanita and kids were at school musical practice.

Nice day. We went to church, 115 there. We went to evening service. Joyce G speaker. Very good. Wrote 4-H invitations, 10 of them. Jamie Schell, 15 had baby girl in Mercy hospital.

Nice day. Washed clothes. Merrill cut elm tree in front yard. Got Aunt Maude’s ladder to put rope on it. Bennett’s planted it. Had elm disease. Pat B here. Merrill went to Lodge. He took Aunt Maude’s ladder back.

Lula Rappole went to Carthage hospital. Gall bladder. I wrote Debby. Sent 4-H invitations. I went to Bible Study. Lorraine, Tony and Tina here in PM. Jim, Pat and girls here for supper. Patty brought lemon pie. Got letter from Dr. Scanlon. He has sent my records to Dr. David Rosen in Kingston.

Beautiful day. I washed sheets and spreads. Took down stairway curtains. I made Chinese cookies. Debby Hanson called. She isn’t in school. Has court next week. She wants to go home this week. Merrill helped Jim M clean at Lodge Hall. Called Mrs. Cameron about bathroom.

4-H Korea slides with Vern. Hills 7:30. 40 there. All very nice. Washed my hair. Vern’s got here at 6 PM. Michael Payne very ill. In coma now. I went over to Evelyn’s in evening.

Jimmy Schell called in evening. Very windy. Jim’s came in PM. All here for supper. So good to all be together again. Jim had to work. Patty went home with Vern’s to Sackets. Jolie spent night at Puffers.
