I cut out 2 pair pants. Glen Failing, 68, funeral. He died Sunday in California of a heart attack. Leon Dickson, 77, funeral at Philadelphia. Marie G here after school to cut out blazer. Bill, Brenda and Mark here in evening.

A beautiful spring like day. Merrill worked at Horton’s garage. Jim and Mr. Puffer brought load of wood. Lisa B here. Pat B. is in NJ. Left Thursday. I cleaned house. Martha Pitts, 68, died of heart attack. Washed my hair.

Merrill had 3 teeth out. Front ones, $19. A nice day but cloudy. Warm. I didn’t go to Bible Study. Dr Somner will be away April to October. We went over to Antwerp to Martha Pitt’s wake in evening.

4-H, 12 here. Shari Rudes niece guest. We made pizza’s. Howard and Lorraine B here for kids. A nice day, but cold in evening. Merrill worked at Horton’s. I made appointment with Dr. Roberts.

Got 125 gallon gas. Very scarce. Merrill finished at Horton’s garage. Cold all day. Howard, Evelyn and Dawn left at 11:30 for Philadelphia PA, and maybe Florida. Washed my hair. Washed clothes.

Wrote Vern’s. I went to hospital for x-rays. Had a lot of them. Went to Dr. Roberts afterwards. He will call Wednesday or Thursday. Had first shot. Tired when I got home. Didn’t go to parsonage committee meeting. Cheryl Horton went for me.

I went to Bible Study. Carl, Cheryl and Elizabeth here in PM. Carl said he’d milk for us anytime. Marie here to sew after school Terry here in evening. Wants Merrill to call them in morning. Eleanor called from city.

Sent birthday card, and letter to Mother T. Got letter from Beulah Hall. Merrill and Boots went to Philadelphia for groceries. I called Dr. Roberts but he hasn’t the reports yet. I called Helen Keichels in evening. Vern called in evening. Washed clothes.

We went to church. Women from Bible Club in charge of service. Release time teachers. Carrie and Lois rode to church. We went to smorgasbord dinner at Legion at 2 PM. Very good. Saw Joan Morrow in store. They have bought farm on Route 37.

4-H swim at 1-2 PM. We took Marie, Jamie, Cindy, Vicky, Dawn, Alison, and Laura. Went to Carrolls to eat. Called Dr. Roberts. I have diaphragm Hernia. Also bad blood condition. No connection. Bill Brenda, and Mark over in evening

4-H Dress Evaluation. Marie and Lorraine got red. Dawn blue. I took them to Philadelphia. Dr. Roberts at 2:30. I had 2nd B-12 shot. Saw Jim on Square. Sent Dan card, note, and $5; Lorraine was here collecting for flowers for Bill Landon.

Flossy White died. Raining all day. Warm. 4-H bread lesson, Lorraine, Vicky, Jamie, Judy, Marie, Lisa, Andy took it. Mary H and Jody Hill here also. Lorraine gave me loaf of bread. Very good. Merrill, Howard and Evelyn went to funeral home for Bill Landon, 61° in evening. I was tired.

We didn’t go to Leah’s for party for Waters. Very windy. Some snow. Danny’s 7th birthday. Wrote Vern’s. Called Juanita at Brenda’s. Juanita has to have D&C. Lisa was over to fill out 4-H report. Rebekah’s went to Belleville for Flossy White’s wake. I didn’t go. Washed clothes.

We went to church. Jim McEtherin spoke. Excellent. Rev. Blankenship’s father died of a heart attack last night at a Camp Meeting in Florida. No way to get word to church in the Holy Land. He was 72.

Jim went into hospital. Has abscess in rectum. Merrill didn’t have any grain to feed the cows this morning. First time since we have been farming. Sent electric bill, $74.84, and liability insurance $34, Beck Jr. Agency. Merrill got oil change at Doug’s. Also went to Agway. Got tank of gas. Baked cookies and pies.

Sent income tax and Social Security, $249 & $357. Gas tax ref, $22.72. Went to hospital to see Jim. He is much better today. We stopped at Bill and Brenda’s. Their kitchen cupboards are very nice. I went to Dr. Roberts for shot. Got told we can’t send milk until Saturday evening. High count.

Sent Fran birthday card. Cloudy day but warm. Rain in evening. Got letter from Vern’s. Gas problem bad at Oswego also. We went to Philadelphia for groceries. Blankenship’s and Marg M got home at 1:30 AM

World Day of Prayer at CEC. Only 11 out but Marilyn gave a nice program. Rev B and girls flew to Georgia. Marva sick. 4-H meeting at Mary Hall’s Canceled. Vern called. There is a missionary named “Vernon Tryon” speaking in Oswego, Watertown area too. Payne’s got home from Florida.

Snow flurries in morning but a nice day. Made donuts. Made a chocolate cake to take to Jim’s tomorrow. Called Jim’s in evening. Invited us to lunch tomorrow after church. Vern’s are coming there also. Postage is 10 cents a letter now.

Very windy. We went to church. Went to Jim’s for dinner. Vern’s there also. They had been to church at Sandy Creek. Vernon Tryon, pilot spoke. Marva feeling some better. Jim McEtherin gave sermon, 23rd Psalm.

Warm. Rained in PM. AG Heating, Parker, here to clean furnace, $17.12. He put on Vern’s control off his old furnace. Merrill and Boots went to Agway for cow pills, Scours. Washed clothes in evening.

Sent Uncle Berl card and letter. A nice morning but colder and windy in PM. We went to Bill and Brenda’s but too windy to put on barn roof. Pat B took his sick cow home. Eleanor and Mom called from Brenda’s. Mom was to Dr. Myerderick. She has a hernia on her incision.

Sent fire insurance, $253.54. $13.34 dividend. Merrill helped Bill D put on metal barn roof. Nice day and warm and sunny. Some wind. Got Eleanor’s letter she mailed Friday March 1st.

Called Jim. He is sick with migraine headache Went back to work but came home. Merrill got 1st Social Security check, $419.30. Started drawing it January, 73. Boots and I went to Theresa bank and to Philadelphia for groceries. Got note and card from Gehm’s. Mother Tryon is in Sodas hospital with pneumonia.

Called Vern’s. Went to Dr. Roberts for shot. Was late when we got home. Didn’t get to go to Eva Riorodon’s [?] wake. Evelyn here in PM. Lynn H went to doctor’s. He has hiatus hernia. told him to get off farm. Grahams have sold their farm for $41,000 to Amish. Called Vern’s. Howard is selling his farm.

Cloudy day. George Graham here. Rev. Jacob Lapp has bought his farm, $35,00 farm, $6,000 machinery. George is putting a double trailer up on corner. Basil Hanson drilling wells for them.

Uncle Berl’s birthday, 81. We went to church. Good to have church back. Marva feeling better. We went down to see Mrs. Beardsley in PM. We went to Lenten service in evening. Very nice. Called Jim’s. Talked with Patty’s father.

We went to Sodus to see Mother T. in hospital. Jim and Aunt Cora went with us. Stopped at Elmer and Melba’s. Jolie came home with us to spend the night. A beautiful day and evening. No snow anywhere.

We went out to Mom’s. Got capsules at Fays on way. Nice day but cold wind. Stopped at Brenda’s on way home. She is having Roberta’s baby shower March 30. I went to Lodge in evening. Only 8 there.
