Gave Boots worm kills. Food sale Confirmation class, cookies and cup cakes. They made good on it. Boots and I went to Philadelphia in morning. I made over bedroom curtains in both rooms upstairs. Dyed bedspreads and rugs. Washed quilts. Washed my hair.

Got Jim’s green striped sheets for anniversary. Sun out today. Sure is great. Didn’t last long. Raining by noon. Rained all day. We went to Weston’s in PM. Got shower curtain and window curtain for bathroom. Stopped at Pearl Hoteling’s, Merrill’s cousin. Aunt Cora at Edna’s. Edna is in hospital.

Rainy. Wrote Uncle Berl. IOOF Meeting. Merrill went. I cleaned laundry room. Also washed bedroom curtains. Cleaned silverware in evening. Pat and Jim called. Jolie had x-ray on her leg yesterday.

Rebekah’s. I went. Some went to Igloo after Lodge. A beautiful day. Merrill mowed all three lawns. They look great. I weeded Iris. Put up new lawn fence, white plastic. Got plants up from cellar. Turned the cows out for first time this year, days and nights.

We went to play at school “Deadwood Dick” Larry Patchen and men spray painted house roof. We gave him $55 for his work. We used 5 gallon of Agway paint, total $69.75. Got letter from June. Boots and I went to bank and grocery store. Merrill put dirt on flowers. Betty Haggerty went to hospital.

Merrill went to auction at Ogdensburg with Pat B. Wrote Vern’s. Talked with Aunt Maude and Marguerite B. Marguerite’s daughter had brain tumor operation at 1 today. There is a leak thru the kitchen ceiling from the bathroom sink.

Washed my hair. Gave Boots a bath. Cloudy day off and on. Rained in evening. We planted glads and dahlias. Went to Theresa for plants. Took them to cemetery. Set some by flag pole. Got wire fence at Seaway.

I have had glaucoma for three year since I found out. Last Bible Study until fall. I didn’t go. Leslie, Grace and Mother T here for supper and all night. Jim, Pat and Jolie here for supper also. Gave them anniversary gift, sheets. Washed clothes. Washed Mom’s hair.

Howard and Evelyn’s 21st anniversary. Leslie, Grace and Mother T left about 10 AM. Were going to stop at Rodman cemetery. Merrill’s leg is bothering him, arthritis.

Took Mom home. Visited Edith Seeley, Clara Zufelt, and Marg. Marg not as good. I got home at 8:30. Merrill mowed lawns. Grass very tall because of all the rain. Didn’t rain at Mom’s. Don put new door on for Mom with glass front.

We went to city for new kitchen sink faucets, $20.32 on sale. Council of Ministries, 8 out to it. Made plans for Revival. IOOF meeting. Merrill went. They are having another meeting next week. Put car through car wash on Arsenal Street.

Beautiful hot day, 87° in PM. Merrill put on new sink faucet. Very nice. I washed half of porch windows. 6 yet to do. Mrs. Beardsley and Harriet Burke [?] stopped in a few minutes. Got letter from June. Got wedding invitation to Sharon and Larry’s wedding.

Martha Meek’s 29th birthday. Vern’s start on trip to Pennsylvania, NJ etc. Blankenship’s 12th anniversary. We went to church. Willabelle B, Lorraine, Marie Gleason, Athena Hanlon and Randy Horton joined church. Church almost full. We drove out to hospital. Mary has gone home. Got Mom’s shoes.

Sharon Hall and Virgil, Larry, Patchin Jr. wedding. A beautiful wedding and reception. Also a beautiful day. Reception was at Willowbrook. About 150 to wedding. We attended both.

June’s 35th birthday. A really hot day, 88°. Merrill got baler running. He put new coil on it, $7. He and Boots went to Theresa. A good day at VBS. A new pupil in class, 12 in all. Dale helped. Laura P rode today also.

Rose Lanphere, Evans Mills, died of cancer. Cleaned up hay, 451 bales. Very heavy. Merrill went to Theresa for shear bolts and spark plug. I painted black railing and post lamp.

Frog jumping at Philadelphia. We didn’t go to it. Too hot. Merrill mowed hay back on 17 acres in AM. Raining some in evening. Lots of accidents in evening.

Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Merrill raked hay. Sent Vern’s note. Merrill went to Mills for twine, $7.50 a bale now. I cleaned upstairs. Waxed all the floors up there. Broke dresser mirror in Jim’s room. Cleaned kitchen, dining room, and bed room floors.

Drawed 2 loads of hay and also trailer full. 651 bales now. Cooler today. I waxed porch floors. Washed Merrill’s clothes and rugs. Got letter from Uncle Berl. Gave myself a Toni in evening. Arnold Graham here, 2 1/2 hours. Postponed picnic to July 15.
