Got kerosene. Dot, Evelyn & Hettie Rumsey was here. Aunt Edna & Uncle Ed’s house almost burned up.

Sent blank for gas to ration board.

Arlene was down. Vernon is ill. Merrill went to Lacona in evening. Got fan belt for car. $1.25

Went over home in PM. Stayed for supper. Merrill & Don came home & milked.

Received Jimmy’s ration book & bill from Dr. George $60.00. Merrill sold a skunk to W & C for $1.50. Washed clothes. Merrill got pay for 1 & 10th.

Sent $60.00 to Dr. George. Not feeling very well today.

2 inches of snow this morning. Went over home in evening. Merrill & Vernon & Dad went to Lorraine. Merrill & Vernon got hair cut.

No school or mail. Vernon, Jimmy & I spent the afternoon at Mary Stinson’s. Wrote letter to Aunt Edna.

Received gas book for washing machine. Still snowing. Merrill & Lonny went over home & to Lorraine. Got 1/4 pork from Dad’s.

Sent order back to Wards. Pants & cap. Snow plow was over for first time. Angie’s birthday. Received letter from Marg. Snowed hard all day. Sent cards to Mom & Mary. Wrote Angie.

Mail man didn’t go by today. Merrill got drain working again.

Went over home for dinner. Went down to Beulah & Glen’s [Congdon] in afternoon. Also stopped at Tryon’s. Vernon came home from Grandmas.

Received order from Spiegel. Got new shoes. Received cake from Wards. Wrote to Aunt Edna.

Warm & foggy. Evelyn was down. Sent back overalls. Baked pies & cake. Cleaned upstairs. Vernon was on the honor roll.

Merrill went to Adams.Went down to Marg’s. Stayed for supper. Roy brought us home. Our car isn’t working. Merrill got pay.
