78° and 57°. We went to church. Sherri went today. First in a long time. I went to church here in PM. No music. Susan came after paper. Jim and Jolie called on three-way hook up. Also talked with Shawn Michael. He sounds happy.

75 and 64. Rained during night and off and on all day. Kinney’s brought my drugs but forgot my milk. Vi here twice. I took trash downstairs to compact room in evening. Garbage truck comes in morning. I got family information on Liberty Strader fro Debby. Larry B said there are three baby rabbits born in boxed flower garden under my window. The flowers are very pretty in it.

79° and 65°. No rain today but rained hard during the night. I washed clothes in PM. Saddam Hussein’s two sons and grandson killed today in an attack by USA marines. A walk-in informant told where they could be found. If only their father could be found, maybe this terrible fighting would end. I got 3 blouses at Granny’s Attic. Eleanor H called for prayer chain for House family. I called Vivian.

79° and 62°. Not a bad day. Partly cloudy. Water off all forenoon for repairs. Vi and girls stopped in a few minutes. I washed clothes in PM. We have a third new washing machine. I called Jim. He’s coming by tomorrow.

74° and 63°. Some rain, thunder, and lightning. Jim here twice. He cashed a check for me. He had doctor’s appointment with new Dr. Kemehan at Medical Center on Square.

80° and 63°. Great day. Sunny. Nice breeze. Jessie here. We went to store. Coby Slate here. Vi came down to see him. Jim leaves on bike to Pennsylvania. Will be home Sunday. I think I have a few shingles on my back shoulder. I soaked it with Epsom salts.

80° and 67°. Quite windy. No rain but partly cloudy at times. Vi was here. Sherri Nash called. Jim preaches at Stone Mills tomorrow. He brought me church bulletin from First Church.

75° and 69°. Raining most of the day. I didn’t go to church. Jim N had to preach at Stone Mills. Vi was here. I had pork ribs and four vegetables for dinner. Delicious.

73° and 49°. A sunny nice day. Vi and Andrea stopped in. Lidia got back from NY City. I wrote Cha family. Bob Hope age 100 years, a great entertainer, died last night. Kinney’s brought part of my order. Forgot vitamins and milk. Jolie called. I also talked with Shawn Michael, and Madison. Shawn is looking forward to school starting there next month. He sounds happy.

76° and 58°. Partly cloudy. I did big hand laundry. Kinney’s man was here. Still didn’t bring all my stuff. Got a cute note and card from Dawn. A laced up shoe. Had to unlace it to read it.

82° and 54°. Sunny fresh day. We met Dawn here at 11 AM. She has a job at school so will change time of our class to Monday and Wednesday at 2:30. She gave us picture and fudge. Vern called. They were on Route 81 on way to Vermont. I took time up to Vi. Kinney’s finally brought the rest of my order.

84° and 61°. A nice day. Nice breeze. Vi here for Times. My shingles not as uncomfortable today. Retired sheriff Don Newberry of Antwerp 66 died today. His sister Mary used to ride into work with me years ago.

73z8 AND 65°. Partly cloudy day. Not as warm. I haven’t had the fans on today. Vi here I AM for Times. Florence came in to see if I was okay as she hadn’t seen me. I was reading in my diaries and didn’t bother to leave my door open.

Hot and humid. Thunderstorm at suppertime. Jim Nash’s car wouldn’t start. They trucked it to garage. Jim walked to store. I called to offer my Times but he got one. I took mine up to Vi and she returned it later. Lyla called in P. I got card from June and Vern from Stowe Vermont. They are having a good time.

86° and 61°. A hot humid day. Thunderstorm about 7 PM. Was bad in other places. Came back again at 8 PM. Bad storm. We didn’t get to church as Nash’s car is in garage. I went to services out here in Metcalf room. A boring day. I haven’t been outside in two weeks and then only to grocery store. My shingles itchy and burning. Being so warm doesn’t help. I saw Zack’s car on NASCAR with new driver Johnny Andretti. He was in third place until he got hit from behind and hit the wall and was out of the race.

80° and 66°. Not so humid today. Sunny most of the day. Trip to zoo called off. Not enough interested in it. Three men here to glue my window. Vi and her great granddaughters here in PM. They are cute girls. Esther Taylor called in evening.

Hot and humid. Appointment with Dr. LaPoint at 10:45. Blood pressure 120/70 and weight 143. I took bus to and from downtown. Sue Boschock here in PM. She brought me pretty flowers and also one of the church registers. She looks great. Has lost weight swimming and walking. I came after paper. I called Jim in evening. Walt has moved into his small apartment.

A more comfortable day. A nice breeze. I did two loads of wash. Debby from Dr. LaPoint’s office called. My kidney and anemia report back. She is taking me off Relafen that I have been of for years for my arthritis and putting me on Hydrocodone. Has Tylenol in it. I have to go for blood test in 2 or 3 weeks. Philadelphia fireman received a $67,000 grant today.

A nice day. Jolie called about 8:30 AM. She had just put Shawn Michael o the school bus for his first day at his school there. School starts early there. They get out early in May because of the hot weather. Vi was here.

82° and 61°. A hot humid day with rain in PM and thunder. Jessie here. We went to store. I was up to Vi’s. She was here earlier. The hydrocodone drug makes my head and eyes hurt. It has made me very constipated. I’ve only taken six pills.

82° and 68°. Another rainy day off and on. Very humid. Sherri called to say they had rented a car so would e going to church. I didn’t take any hydrocodone today. My elbow and arm very sore.

79° and 66°. More rain off and on. Some sun. I went to church with Jim. Sherri not up to going. Vi came after Times.

82° and 64°. Hot and humid. A few showers. Ten days in a row. Vi and Andrea here. Also Florence. I got my phone bill today. Only $4.05 this month. My right elbow and arm very sore.

A hot humid day. Very dark in PM with thunder at a distance all afternoon. Raining hard about 4:30 PM. I did hand washing in AM. Vi here for Times. I called Vern’s but they were at a Rotary picnic. Vern called when they got home. Juanita called in evening late.

84° and 62°. Still hot and humid. I’ve felt horrid all day. Had a bad night also. Sick to my stomach. Florence got me doorstops. I gave Vi one of them. $2.09. Sherri called in prayer chain. I called Jeanette Jones and the Bellingers. Tim Laboufe called in evening electioneering.

I went to Samaritan hospital by Gulfoil ambulance at 2 PM with a heart attack. I was in emergency until 8 PM when they moved me to ICU. I was given two units of blood starting at 2 AM. Had trouble matching because of antibodies. Dr. LaPoint here to see me twice. Jim, Vern and June here at hospital. Florence stopped in at ER to see how I was doing. I had EKG and chest X-ray. I missed the Centennial picnic. Jolie called ER several time. Jim’s cell phone went dead and he didn’t have his charger with him so she couldn’t reach Jim. Jim’s dog at vets. Very sick.

Vern called in morning. They brought me a phone so I could talk with him. Jim here. Florence came by. Dr. Vanderwall in to see me.

I had an Echo sound test in AM. Dr. Roads was here. Vern and June here in AM and PM. Jim came later. They went to my apartment and got my robe and slippers for me. They took care of things in my apartment. Jolie called ICU to find out how I was. Florence here.

I had two units of blood starting at 10 PM. Dr. Roads was in. I had trouble breathing about 2 AM. They gave me an EKG and a breathing treatment with a fibulator. Florence was here. She’s been so great. Juanita called ICU. I’ve got three hemotomas because of the blood thinner. My arms are very black and blue.

They moved me to progressive care unit but only there 2 hours and the moved me back to ICU. I had chest X-ray, EKG and cardiogram.

Saw Dr. about being moved to Syracuse (St. Joseph’s). Don Bryant came to see me. Dorothy and Vi got in to see me. So good to see them. Jim here. Gulfoil ambulance brought me to St. Joe’s at 4 PM. Left city at 3 PM. Jim, June and Vern at hospital. Saw Dr. Walford. Catherization planned for tomorrow.

Catherization at noon. One artery completely blocked. Will treat with medicine. Saw Dr. Walford later. Jim, June and Vern here. Signed for phone and TV. Vern paid it. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bryant here. Jill called. Also Steven. Vi called in evening.

My heart rhythm off in morning. The nurse removed my catheter in the morning. Lyla called. Jim called from my apartment. I got beautiful bouquet fro Joie, Zack, and kids. Jill was here. Also June and Vern.

Dr. Walford here in morning. I can’t go home today. He wants me up and around for a day. Jim brought my clothes. Vern called twice. June and Vern here in evening. Jim called. Also Jolie and Esther. I received two units of blood.

I had trouble breathing in early morning. Dr. Silverman came in to see me. Dr. Walford came by later and said I was to stay a day longer. Jim was here. He brought my mail. Robin called. Also Lyla. Vern and Jim called. Esther called in evening.

A nice summer day. I was discharged from St. Joe’s hospital at 11 AM. Vern and June brought me home. Jim was at my apartment waiting for me. Sure good to be home. Lots of folks stopped in. Vern and Jim went to store and drug store for me. Debby called in evening. Also Jolie.

80° and 52°. A nice day. Nice breeze. Good to wake up in my own bed. Slept great. Vern called in morning. Also Juanita. Jim called. Hospital called about therapy program at Samaritan. Florence here. Vi came while I took a shower. Sure great after 11 days in hospital. She did some chores for me. Centennial club brought me beautiful bouquet. Jim and Walt here in PM. Vi, Angie, and Florence here in PM. Vern and Jolie called.

A nice day. County nurse here in PM, Alice Molera. Lots of company. Florence, Sally, Vi, Dorothy, Wanda and Larry. Dorothy brought me cookies, good. Florence gave me watermelon. Sally a tomato from her garden. Vern and Jim called. Also Jolie.

70° and 41°. A nice day. Sunny. Jessie here. She did laundry. Shirley Parker from Office of the Aging here in PM. Lyla and Kathy here in AM. They brought me big basket of fruit. A crazy day weather wise. Rain, sun, cloudy, thunderstorms and humid. Alice, county nurse here. She made appointment with Dr. LaPoint for Tuesday at 11 AM. Vi has been here three times. Also Florence and Sally. I’ve been coughing up a lot. I may be allergic to some of my new medicine. Wanda called about dentist. Vern called in evening.

Much colder. Cold all day. Vern and June surprised me and arrived at the front door about 11 AM. They brought lunch. Vern filled my two pillboxes for the week. He also cut my toenails. They left about 2:30. Jim, Joanne, and Lauren dropped by about 3 PM. Lets at 5. Vi here while I took a shower. She went for a walk to the lobby with me. She brought me some of her delicious macaroni and cheese for supper. Also pickled beets. Florence brought me a piece of cheesecake. Very good. Jim brought me pretty purple African violet plant from Sherri.

71° and 49°. A quiet day. Jolie and Zack called in AM. Vi here for Times. Angie stopped by. Gave me ear of corn. I walked out to the lobby twice. Vern called in evening.

Partly cloudy. Partly sunny. Robert called in morning. He, Cheryl, and Danny here. The boys got subs for lunch. We had a good visit. They left about 5:30. Angie, Vi, Florence and Sally here. I called Jim. He is taking me to doctors tomorrow.

77° and 56°. A nice day. Saw Dr. LaPoint at 11 AM. Jim took me. I went to VIP meeting in PM. Margaret from the Mustard Seed was speaker. (National foods store) Rev. Jane Wagner called. County nurse here. Vi here. Vern called in evening. I got card from Brenda.

A nice day but colder. No rain. Debby, Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called and said my kidneys and lungs show improvement. My blood count is normal. Vi. Florence, and Sally here. Wanda called on phone. I didn’t go play Pedro in evening.

A sunny nice day. Florence, Vi, Sally and Angie here. Vern, Lyla and Jolie called. My arthritis hurting, especially my lower back and arm. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called but I was out of my apartment.

66° and 55°. A cloudy day. Vern got here at 10:30. June brought stuff for lunch. My appointment with Tasha Richard in Dr. Willis office today. She put me on four Tylenol a day (night and morning). Vi was here. Also Florence. Vern and June got me some groceries. My back and hip hurting. Jim called in evening.

72° and 52°. A nice sunny day. I’ve felt tired all day. My breathing not as good. Tasha called and said Dr. Willis said for me to take the Divan for my heart. I washed my living room window. Also watered plants and washed dishes. Vi, Florence and Virginia here. Mark Prevent to hospital. He was dizzy. Jolie called in evening. I had trouble breathing in night and had to use nitro. I called Tina Vanderloger. Jeff is over seas. He left the day after Loren’s funeral.
