77° and 56°. A nice day. Saw Dr. LaPoint at 11 AM. Jim took me. I went to VIP meeting in PM. Margaret from the Mustard Seed was speaker. (National foods store) Rev. Jane Wagner called. County nurse here. Vi here. Vern called in evening. I got card from Brenda.

A nice day but colder. No rain. Debby, Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called and said my kidneys and lungs show improvement. My blood count is normal. Vi. Florence, and Sally here. Wanda called on phone. I didn’t go play Pedro in evening.

A sunny nice day. Florence, Vi, Sally and Angie here. Vern, Lyla and Jolie called. My arthritis hurting, especially my lower back and arm. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called but I was out of my apartment.

66° and 55°. A cloudy day. Vern got here at 10:30. June brought stuff for lunch. My appointment with Tasha Richard in Dr. Willis office today. She put me on four Tylenol a day (night and morning). Vi was here. Also Florence. Vern and June got me some groceries. My back and hip hurting. Jim called in evening.

72° and 52°. A nice sunny day. I’ve felt tired all day. My breathing not as good. Tasha called and said Dr. Willis said for me to take the Divan for my heart. I washed my living room window. Also watered plants and washed dishes. Vi, Florence and Virginia here. Mark Prevent to hospital. He was dizzy. Jolie called in evening. I had trouble breathing in night and had to use nitro. I called Tina Vanderloger. Jeff is over seas. He left the day after Loren’s funeral.

80° and 55°. Vi and I went outside in PM to see Barb’s flower garden out front. It has a scare crow clown, several small real pumpkins added to the flowers all in blossom. Jessie here to clean. She did two tubs of wash. Feel so good to have house clean again.

72° and 53°. Cooler. A nice day. Hurricane Isabel expected here Friday. Not as strong it was. Nurse Alice M here. Her last visit unless I need her. Everything fine. My BP 120/68. I went to Metcalf room twice. Got 2 corn and a yellow tomato. Vi was here. Also Sally.

75° and 44°. A nice fresh day. I started cardiac rehab today. Vi went with me. Felt good to exercise again. Office of the Aging volunteer driver took us. Ken and Esther were at the front door while I was over to hospital. I played Pedro in evening. Good to play again.

78° and 49°. A nice sunny day one day before Isabel hits. I’m sort of lame and tired tonight. Sue B called for prayer chain for Rev Jane’s son Bill’s mother-in-law. My TV got stuck on video. I called Jim about it. Jolie called at suppertime. Only a few showers with some wind so far at Concord North Carolina. Vern called in evening. They are all coming Sunday. Vern’s birthday is Sunday. 83° and 62°. Isabel hit here today. Some trees down and power off in places. A 40 mile wind. Not as bad as expected. I went to 2nd cardiac rehab. Tired when I got home. Sally and Florence here. Also Vi. Kay Rudes 80, died in Florida, Naples. Marty’s kids live in California.

68° and 40°. A nice day. Partly sunny. Vern’s 67th birthday. He, June, Steve’s and Dan’s here for afternoon. We all went up to the Park for a lovely picnic together, along with many bees. They brought all the food including a decorated birthday cake. They came back here for a while before they left for home A very lovely day together. My great-grandchildren are growing up so fast. Vern and June brought me a new scale that I can see. Angie, Florence, Vi and Sally here. Jim called in evening. Juanita called in evening.

73° and 45°. Partly cloudy. Windy in PM. My ride didn’t pick me up for rehab therapy. Hope called for me and I can go tomorrow at 10 AM. Florence will take me. I took Para Transit bus to eye center. My eye pressure up 22 and 28 after my hospital stays. I have to go back in a month.

Jim leaves for Delaware. He will be home Friday. He called in morning. He was ready to leave on bike trip. Jolie and Madison called in evening. Today is Madison’s 4th birthday. They went to Chunky Chicken for supper.

68° and 37°. Cold over night but a nice sunny day. My volunteer driver didn’t come again today so I didn’t get to rehab. I washed clothes in PM. I rode bike while clothes were washing. Angie here.
