Cloudy day. Warm 35°. This is my 60th diary. I was 25 years old when I stated. Thanks to June I’m able to enjoy reading back over the large print and relive my life. It is most enjoyable, as I’ve had a good life. Thanks to my husband and family. I took down Christmas stuff except the tree. I played Pedro in evening. Three tables.

21° and 14°. Very cold. Cold wind. I went to exercise class. Most everyone there. I took down rest of decorations and put everything in closet. Lake affect snow on the way.

snow flurries. Jessie was here to clean. Good to have the apartment clean again. Kenney’s delivery man here in evening with my drugs. I’ve met my co payment so didn’t have to pay for them (Epic) $210. I get them free until May. I sent Ken birthday card.

25° and 23°. Snow flurries. Cloudy. I did laundry. Vi called. She is going home with Julie for a couple of weeks. Virginia P called. No church here tomorrow.

A nice day. 30° and 21°. Some sun. I went to church with Jim Nash. Sherri didn’t go. They started having church in dining hall to save on fuel. A large crowd out for communion. We went to Big M after church. A lazy day. I read from my diaries. It brings back so many memories.

29° and 20°. Snow flurries off and on. Sue Boschock here. Brought me poinsettia plant I had in church in Philadelphia in Merrill’s memory. Ken’s 83rd birthday. Centennial Club with new officers. Virginia Pastor new president. I got thank you from Steve, Kathy and girls. I talked with Lyla in evening.

23° and -8°. Cold buy sunny all day. I went to exercise class. 11 out. Hope’s mother-in-law’s last day with us. (Betty Ann Moore) I get nice thank you letters from Sarah and Kristen. Dick Scee’s son, Ronald 53, died Saturday of pneumonia.

36° and 30°. Snowed off and on. The Insurance on snowmobiles back on today so the sleds are back on the trails tonight. I played Pedro in evening. Three tables. Ice storm was five years ago now.

Cloudy all day. No snow. I went to exercise class. 11 there. Dawn brought us each a Clementine to peel in one whole piece peeling. Also she baked a ham and egg pie for us after class. Very good. I bought Dorothy Kellogg’s Aladdin magnifying machine. Gave $1100 for it. It was new less than a year ago. Jim here at supper time. He took Debby’s package to mail for me. (Clppings), smiling face magnets, and mom’s wedding ring). Jim has paid for my cable for a year. My kids are so good to me. Always doing something nice for me.

20° and -2°. Sunny most of the day. Snowing at suppertime. Wrote Steve, Kathy and Girls. Jolie called in evening. She is working long hours doing inventory at the store.

24° and 12°. Snow flurries. Cold. Coffee and donuts. I went. I met Jerry McCallops. Lidia and I tried to watch an opera video on new TV but Rose Mary couldn’t get the VCR to work. Ended up with a split screen. More fun. I talked with Juanita. Esther is leaving for Florida on Wednesday. Sherri called to say they wouldn’t be going to church tomorrow.

29° and 17°. Sunny. Snowing hard in places. We didn’t go to church. Jim N brought me church bulletin.

Very stormy by spells. Windy and cold. Lazy day. Read diaries. Fire at Ramada Inn. Fire in one room but smoke all over the rooms. Debbie called at suppertime. She got the package Jim sent her for me. I sent her mom’s wedding ring. I talked with Jim in the evening.

Very cold. -17° this morning at 7 AM. Cold all day but mostly sunny. I went to exercise class. Everyone there again today. I talked with Susie. Vi gets home this weekend. Sue B called on prayer chain for John Dingman. Florence was here. Brought me piece of chocolate pie. Good.

22° and -3°. Not a bad day. I got electric bill. $100.89. Biggest one ever here. I played Pedro in evening. An armed robbery at Seaway Plaza this PM. Lots of snow at Oswego.

25° and -6°. Cold but a nice day. Lots of snow in Oswego. I went to exercise class. 11 there. Dawn brought us cheesecake.

19° and -23°. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I got $67 of groceries. Juanita called in evening. Esther didn’t go to Florida. Ken had to have X-rays on his lungs. Sue B called for prayer chain for Ray Dougal. He’s in hospital with leg infection after a heart operation.

19° and -27°. Cold all day. Sunny. I made chili in AM. Froze four packages. I made scalloped potatoes and meat loaf in PM. Very good. Sherri called in evening.

21° and 15°. Snowy some in morning. Sunny in PM. Kathy called to say they were coming today. Sherri and I didn’t go to church. Jim didn’t go either. Steve’s got here about 2:45 PM. Kathy brought casserole for supper. A nice day together. Steve looked through my box of pictures. They brought me a Gertrude Hawk milk chocolate bear. Vern called in evening.

19° and 1°. Another cold day. Very stormy south of here. Jim N brought me church bulletin. I packaged meat loaf and scalloped potatoes for freezer. I talked with Jim in evening.

2° and -30°. It was -25° when I got up. Very cold all day. Wind chill. I went to exercise class. All there except Helen B. We each gave $3 for a plant for Valentines’ day for Dawn. Sherri called with two requests for the prayer chain.

-1° and -24°. Sunny but below zero. I washed some clothes by hand. The Eggleston Apartment on Ore Bed Road, Antwerp burned today. Ruth is a resident of Whispering Pines since Thanksgiving time. She is blind. I talked with Vi twice. I called Mary Hall about fire. I played Pedro in evening.

0° and -21°. Another cold day. Some snow. I went to exercise class. All there. We gave Dawn a mixed basket of plants. She had made us delicious sugar cookies. Jolie called in evening. I called Lyla.

7° and -31°. Not quite as cold during day. Nice sunny most of day. It was -25° when I got up. I talked with Vi. I sent Dr. LaPoint letter about vitamin prescriptions.

Warmer but a cold wind. 22° and 12°. Snowy. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. Juanita called in PM. Ken has decided to go to Florida with Esther February 20th. Jolie called on way to grocery store.

23° and 6°. Snowing most of the day. Snowed about a foot in all. We didn’t go to church. The “Out to Eat Brunch” postponed until later at Ponderosa. I talked with Sherri twice. I called Jim. He and Joel were on the way to Syracuse. I wrote June and Vern in PM. Super Bowl in evening. 48 – 21 Tampa Bay over Oakland Raiders.

-2° and -33°. Below zero all day. Sunny. I sent letter to June and Vern.

19° and -22°. Warmer today. No sun. I went to exercise class. 10 of us there. Linda Beyette called. She has her shoulder operated on February 11th. Next VIP meeting here March 4th. President Bush’s State of the Union address at 9 PM.

26° and 11°. Mostly cloudy day. They are piling snow out back on back lawn with a backhoe today. Lots of snow. Lyle was here to see my apartment. He put I an application at Centennial. I played Pedro in evening. Had three tables.

24° and -6°. A great sunny day. I went to exercise class. 9 out. I washed two tubs of clothes in PM. State budget cut one million dollars for Indian River School. All schools cut.

Much warmer. 37° and -1°. Some sun off and on. Jessie here to clean. We didn’t go to store. A “drug bust” at one of Bob and Marilyn’s apartment house apartments on Ore Bed Road. Also a connecting raid out here on Washington Street at 1009. Centennial is 1010 Washington Street. Nine people arrested.

Still warm. Rained some. I called Jim. He got to Syracuse yesterday. His back is coming okay. I got notice I will have my medicate Insurance paid for me. The Columbia Space Ship blew up over Texas at 9 AM this morning killing seven astronauts. They were returning after two weeks in space. I’ve watched it all day. A brother of a Fort Drum soldier was killed I it. He was co pilot. Willie McCool. Shawn McCool flies helicopters at Fort Drum. Another member was from Plattsburgh. He was the only black member, Mr. Anderson.

34° and 28°. Ground hog day. Cloudy all day. Snowed during the night. We didn’t go to church. I went to church services here in PM. Sue B called for prayer chain for Rev Jane. She has four interviews Wednesday lasting over three hours before she can be ordained as a full minister. I called Shawn Michael but no one home. I had a nice visit with Shawn Michael on the phone. I mailed check to Philadelphia church.

Partly cloudy day. Not much sun. 31° and 21°. I went to Centennial Club in evening. A real good turnout.

43° and 25°. All kinds of weather today. Wind, sun rain, snow, thunder and turning cold again in PM. Very icy in St. Lawrence County. I went to exercise class. I called Jim. Kenney man brought stuff from drug store.

A nice sunny day. Cold wind. The men are here working on the roof and windows on back of building. I played Pedro in evening. We had three tables.

Lake effect snow off and on. 28° and 10°. Also sunny by spells. I went to exercise class. Ten of us out. Fort Campbell, Kentucky helicopter airborne ordered over seas. I called in an order to Blair, $83.96.

27° and 2°. Sunny. Cold. The President has raised the terrorist alert in the US to orange. (High alert). Fort Drum soldiers getting ready to go overseas. 250 called up. I finally got my check balanced with the bank. It is so easy to make mistakes when I don’t see the number very well.

25° and 2°. Cold wind. Some sun. I went for coffee and donuts. Vern called in AM. They came and brought lunch. They took me to Kmart store and I bought Hover Steam vacuum cleaner. $129. I also got pillow for desk chair. We also went for groceries. Lyla called in evening. All is well in Philadelphia. The new dollar plus store in Philadelphia mall opened last Saturday. Marge Thayer has sold her trailer.

27° and 9°. Very stormy all forenoon. Lake affect snow. We didn’t get to church. Juanita called in evening to say Pat McGuen died about 6 PM tonight. Ben Stewart got married last Saturday in Florida a week ago.

28° and 9°. Snowing hard in evening. I have a cold. Cora Carr called to say Lucy Carr Boyle died this weekend. I called Lyla. Also Vi. Juanita called in evening to say Pat’s funeral is Thursday. She is going to Dorland’s Wednesday. Will stay with him for two weeks.

14° and -33°. When I got up this morning, it was -31°. Cold all day. No snow. I went to exercise class. I feel horrid. Jim N brought me cough drops. Cherri called in morning. I washed some clothes by hand.

19° and 5°. Windy. Very stormy Oswego way. I received package from Vern and June with rubber bands, paper clips, get pens and a folder for family tree records. I called Jim. He has a cold. He said Jolie has quit her job. She and Madison went to North Carolina last weekend to visit Zack. I called Vern’s in evening to let them know I got their package.

8° and -16°. No snow today. Cold. Very stormy Syracuse way. I went to exercise class. We all wore something for Valentine’s Day. Dawn gave us sacks of Valentine cookies. I sent card to Dorland and family. Jolie called in evening. She and Madison are coming after Shawn Michael.

11° and -22°. Still cold but sunny. Jessie here. She went to the store for me. She brought me red tulip plant and pretty Valentine. I feel punk today. The first Fort Drum soldiers leave for overseas today to Iraq. 150 of them. Potluck supper but I didn’t go. Didn’t feel like eating. Sherri called. Also Barb. She wanted me to ask the blessing at the supper. Florence brought me a piece of the birthday cake from the super.

2° and -26°. A sunny day. Still cold. Shawn Michael called and asked if he could come and spend the night. Carrie dropped him off about 2:45 PM. He does not want to go back to Ohio with Jolie when she comes for him. He is such a nice little boy. I called Jim. He’s still sick from his cold. Coby here with church tapes.

2° and -18°. Still cold. Partly sunny. We didn’t go to church. It was too cold. Shawn picked Shawn Michael up at noon. Jolie and Madison called. I went to church services here in the PM.

12° and -3°. A cloudy day. A little warmer. I ordered flowers from Sherwood Florists for Linda Beyette in hospital. I cleaned for inspection tomorrow. I called Ken and Esther. They leave for Florida Thursday in a Jet Blue plane. Esther’s two grandchildren 6 and 7 are going with them. Terrible snow storms in Washington and New York City. I talked with Jim. Jolie called me in evening.

Much warmer. I went to exercise class. All present. Hope and Lee here inspecting apartments. Arlene W called in evening. I have six red tulips on my plant from Jessie. Very pretty.

36° and 29°. Partly cloudy but warmer. I did laundry in AM. I had my recertification with Hope at 1:45 PM. My rent goes to $25 a month. I played Pedro in evening. Mary Williams and I won every game. I called Jim. He and Joel took Jill out to eat for her birthday. Joel’s was the 13th. I called Vi in PM. Virginia Pastor went to hospital by ambulance tonight.
