A very hot day. Just a quick shower at noon. 82°. I made potato and macaroni salad. Jolie and Madison came in PM. We went to mall. Jolie got me more pants and a cotton shirt. Jolie cut Jim’s hair and shaved some of his beard. Sherri called. Jim is preaching at Stone Mills tomorrow.

A rainy day. Thunder storms in AM. Turned cooler. Shawn Michael called from Nancy L looking for his mother. Jolie and Madison stopped in late PM. I didn’t go to church.

Very cold over night. In 40’s. Cold wind all day. Jolie and Madison here. Jim came for awhile in PM. We sat in back yard in sun.

Cold again over night. Windy. Partly sunny. Jolie and Madison here in PM. I went down town with them and sat with Madison while Jolie did some errands.

Cloudy. Thunderstorm in PM. Sun out in late PM. Jill and Shane picked me up and we went to Jim’s for a picnic dinner. A nice day together. They cooked inside but we ate on front porch. I came home with Jill and Shane. Her new car is nice. Jill had a bad migraine headache all day.

Partly cloudy. Nice breeze. I washed clothes. Tow washers out of order. Carla McGowan called from Ohio looking for Jolie. Vi called in PM. I called Jim. He was in Utica after his cycle. I called Jolie at Jill’s.

Cloudy and cool. Some sun in PM. 65° high 50° low. I sent check to A Cozzi Company to pay for engraving “2000” on Merrill’s stone at Calcium Cemetery. $75. Jolie called from Jim’s. We are invited to Nancy’s at Clayton Monday PM for a picnic. Jill sick in late PM. May be food poisoning.

A nice day. Windy. Jolie and Madison and Shawn Michael picked me up in AM. Shawn Michael went with Nancy L to her company picnic at Westcott Beach. We ate lunch at Breakwater’s. I sat with Madison while Jolie did errands. We went thru the car wash. $3. Jim still throwing up most of day. He wouldn’t let Jolie take him to emergency room. We finally got him to sip salt water. It helped him. Juanita called in evening.

Rainy day. I didn’t go to church. Jolie took me too Kinney’s and Big M store. We ate lunch here and then went to mall. I sat with Madison while Jolie got her nails done. I talked with Jim. He’s feeling better. I called Howard and Evelyn in evening about Merrill’s burial Saturday. We went down stairs to see Bob Puffer at Eva Gonyows (?)

Warm and muggy. Rained some in evening. Jolie and Madison here. We went downtown. We met Jill after work and went to Nancy’s at Clayton. We picked Shawn Michael up from N. Lawlers on way there. Nancy had a nice supper. All very nice including birthday cake for Jolie.

Thunder storm in AM. 75°. Jolie’s 30th birthday. Also Sherri Nash’s 81st. Ken Gardner called about grave site. Jim, Jolie, and kids and I went to Bob Evan’s for lunch. My appointment with Dr Weinstein 1:45. Jolie took me. Colonoscopy August 24th. Watertown Jefferson County Fair starts 184th year. Oldest fair operating. Patty called in evening. I called Robert and Cheryl Congdon about Merrill’s burial.

Some rain. Mostly clear. Not as warm. I got picnic stuff together for Saturday. Talked with Jean’s Bean’s about salads. $1.89 a pound. Lyla called. Jolie called. Vern called in evening.

Much cooler. In 60’s. I called Lyla. She will get cold cuts at Amish store. Jolie and Madison here at supper time. Jim, Ashley, and Shawn Michael went fishing at Clayton. I called Esther. Also Roberta.

Cloudy day. Very few showers. 70’s high 60’s low. Jessie called. She had to work. I ran the cleaner and dusted furniture. Joel called in morning. He and a friend Christina are at Jim’s in Adams. Jolie and Madison here for lunch. She took me to Big M. I ordered food from Jean’s Bean’s for tomorrow.

A cloudy rain off and on all day. 68°. The burial of Merrill Tryon and Eleanor Hanson’s ashes in Sanford’s Corner’s cemetery, Calcium. 31 present. Rev. Jane Wagner has nice service. She sang, “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”. We all went to Watertown Park in the Pavilion for a picnic dinner except Holly and his kids and girl friend. Also Patty T. Nice get together. All there accept Steve and family. Vern and June picked me up. Rev. Jane called in evening.

Sunny. Some clouds. We didn’t go to church. Jim is selling tickets at the fair today. Today is the last day of the fair. Jolie called from Jim’s. Joel still there but they were leaving soon to go back to Iowa. Jolie and Kids and Jill and Shane going to Patty’s at the Alex Bay. Jolie and Madison here in evening. Jim called in PM.

A nice day. 81°. Jolie and Madison here in PM. Jim, Shawn Michael, Jill, Shane, Jolie, Madison and I went out to eat at Fairground Inn at 5:30 PM. I sat in car with Madison while Jolie got her nails done Jill starts work at Liverpool in Wednesday, the 18th. We drove over to cemetery. Jim there too on his bike. We talked to Dale Ryor about leveling the stone. We watered the plants.

Sunny day, 75°. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. Carmi said they are coming over for his birthday Jolie and kids returned to Washington State. They left here at 2 PM. Jim drove them to Syracuse in Shane’s car. They went to say good bye to Jill at work. They had lunch with me. I hated to see them leave.

Sunny warm. 83°. Jolie called at 2 AM. They arrived home all okay. I washed clothes. John from Life Line here to put in new battery. I’m good for two more years. I talked with Lyla. I finally caught her home. Kathy wants to take us to Elgin’s July 30th.

Another warm day. 83°. Jessie here to clean. Helen Kiechle called this PM. We had a great visit. She gets around with a motorized wheel chair now. I called Ken Gardner about leveling monument at cemetery. Jim called in evening. He and 3 other guys go back to Mass. In the morning until Sunday.

Very warm. 85° and 54°. I had call from Hazel Boyle about VIP picnic. She is moving here September 1st, upstairs.

Partly cloudy. Warm. It is in today’s Times that Pat Brancetello, 60 years, died Monday of cancer. He was buried in a private cemetery back of his farm and house.

A very warm day. Nice breeze. I went to church with Sherri and Jim. First I’ve been there in five weeks. Jolie called in PM again in evening.

A very hot day. 90°, 68°. They started work on side of building by my living room window. They spend more time not working. Folks here all day from HUD inspecting building. Spent hours in office with Hope. I bet she’s tired tonight. Dr. Sanni’s office called to remind me of my appointment tomorrow.

Very humid. Some rain in forenoon. 87° and 73°. I took bus to eye center. Guys are working on my window. Dr. Sanni 1 PM. Pressure 12 and 12. Go back in 3 months. Jim called in early evening.

Cooler. The noisy crew here working on windows. 7 AM to 3:30 PM. I washed clothes. Bertha Archie stopped in to say she’s going to VIP picnic. Dorothy Kellogg called.

Much cooler. Seems great after being so humid. 72° high, 42° low. The guys outside my window most of day, working on siding. Today would have been Don’s 78th birthday.

Sunny day. Great! 74° 36° I talked with Lyla. Jim and Nancy here. They were on their way to New England States with Fred and Marlene on their bikes. They are coming back Wednesday. I have VIP calls from Dorothy K and David Liscum.

Sunny. Nice. 79°. I took yellow cab to and from Washington Street Plaza for first time. I got my eye drops and also groceries. Jolie called in evening but her phone was run down so we didn’t talk long.

Quite warm. Humid. I went to church with Sherri and Jim. Art and Madeline Miles in church. Jill called in evening. She likes her new job. She has her own office.

A nice day. Lyla came after me at 8 AM. Kathy drove us to Canada to Elgin’s and Carmi’s. Elgin had a delicious dinner. We got back to city at 6 PM. A great day together. Elgin played his new organ for us. Also his piano. I returned Dorothy Kellog’s call. Lidia Souva had a colonoscopy. I stopped at Philadelphia bank and got a check cashed.
