Cloudy. Partly sunny. 60°. I went to exercise class. All there but Ada Jane. Dawn gave us banana bread. Bill Boyd was found dead in his apartment today when they delivered his lunch. He was such a nice man. Lyla and I went to Theresa Funeral Home for Clifford Carr. It is the first time I’ve seen Ivan in years. Clifford’s grandson Rev. Danny Carr has funeral service. I talked with him. Joel has job. I called Ken and Esther in evening. Colby called. His sermon didn’t get taped. Murder/suicide at Glen Park. Leon (?) 67, shot Sherry LaClair 31. Lyla and I ate lunch at Theresa diner. We saw Penny and Ken Lamice.

Partly cloudy. Rain in late PM. 69° high. 48° low. I received city of Watertown survey to fill out and return. Jolie called. They are going camping this weekend. Jessie can’t come until next Friday. I ran cleaner and dusted furniture. I called Jill at her new apartment on Sherman Street.

Partly cloudy. No sun until 5 PM. 61° high 53° low. I went to church with Jim and Sherri. They got home from church conference last night. Jill and Shane took me for groceries. They stayed to eat with me. We had subs. Jill and Shane’s new landlady died yesterday. She was 92.

Raining. Cleared some in PM. I started using Lumigan eye drops at night before bed. Soldier Perez found guilty killing 7 year adopted son Angel. Jolie called. She has their ticket. Will get here June 27. Leave July 17. Eye appointment with Dr. Sanni. 1:45. He changed my nighttime drops. Dr. Sanni asked me to speak at a glaucoma support group. I took us to and from eye center. George had it. Lyla called. Elgin called her. I talked with Jim. Vern called. Dan got his teacher’s job at Oswego College. Everyone very happy.

A nice summer day. Lyla called. Also Juanita. Jessie called. She will be here next Friday. Jessie didn’t come so I did cleaning, dusted, mopped floors, etc. Made muffins. I returned card to Senator Jim Wright to add my name to the “Do Not Call” registry to telemarketing calls. I ordered first stamps from post-office through the mail. No one sells them out in the lobby anymore. Ken and Esther called. Ken wants to have burial for Eleanor along with Merrill’s burial.

A beautiful day. Elgin and Carmi came to Philadelphia. Lyla brought them out here for dinner. Lyla took us for a ride in PM to city park, the square, and up to Cheryl’s. Cheryl has a nice new station wagon. Elgin called at 6:30 PM to say they had just arrived home. 2 hour drive. I talked with Rev. Jane about Merrill and Eleanor’s burial time. Jolie called in evening.

A nice day. Warm 76°. I got a triple picture of Madison today. She is so sweet. Jolie called in evening. Jill had her car broken into and $900 worth of damage. Lost her tape player and tapes. I went to exercise class. Only two more this summer. I talked with Vi. Dan and Robin’s house closing in West Virginia. They leave for New York State right afterwards.

Another warm summer day. 80°. I got a certified mail letter from Dr. Weinstein to come in for a six month colonoscopy. Last one was 10/11/2000. I played Pedro in evening. We only had two tables. We played in library where air conditioner is.

A hot day. 90°. De. LaPoint 8 AM. I had complete check up. Blood work done etc. They called Dr. Weinstein’s office. I have appointment for July 10 at 1:45 PM. I took bus to and from square. Jim here in evening. Nancy was at a meeting. Ken called in evening. He had talked with Pulaski undertaker. Ken seems happy about arrangements.

Another hot ay. 90°. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I got multivitamin’s at Kinney’s. Apartment very warm all day, even with fans on. No breeze outside. I watched the Relay for Life cancer parade out my bedroom window. Very colorful. 1500 marchers. It goes on all night until 1 PM tomorrow at Watertown High School, Washington Street.

Cooler. Nice breeze 80°. Showers in PM and much cooler. I made a salmon casserole. Gave some to Florence and Lidia. We have a new white Maytag washer in laundry. It costs $1 to wash in it. Relay for life raised $230,000. $18,000 more than last years.

A nice day. Hot sun. Today would have been mom’s birthday. It is also Father’s day. Dad has been gone 41 years and mom 24 years. (1960 and 1977). I went to church with the Nash’s. Marie Ambrose called and wanted to come after Vi and I to come out to Philadelphia church. I told her another time. I called Pauline Roggie in PM. Also Vern. Dan, Robin and kids are all moved in and enjoying their new home. Jolie called in evening.

Very breezy. Sunny, hot. 93°. Our last exercise class until fall. Not enough interested to continue on our own over the summer. We received a lot of free food this PM. After waiting in the halls for two hours. They came late with it. I called Jim. He had a good trip. He will reserve the pavilion for July 14th. Coby S left two church tapes for me at office. I wasn’t in my room.

Very gusty wind all day. Showers off and on all day. Covered dish supper at church at 6 PM to hear missionary Peter Norris speak on Haiti. I made a potato salad to take. I went with Sherri and Jim. Nice supper and nice program. Rev. Ott sat beside me at table. I haven’t seen him in years. He is 84.

A sunny day but cool wind. I went to church with June and Vern. We went to Dan and robin’s new home for a bar-B-Q. Robin’s family all there also. A great time together. Their place is so nice. Beautiful yard. Jolie sent pictures over the Internet.

A hot sunny day. Vern brought me home. June had to work at hospital. Vern and I went to Theresa funeral home for Merrill’s ashes. We brought a dark red urn for them. $150. We went to cemetery. We couldn’t get hold of Kenneth Gardner. We ate lunch at Pizza Hut. It was packed with soldiers. Vern took me to the store for groceries. He left about 2:45. Kenneth Gardner called in evening. I called Lyla in PM. Jolie called in evening. 22 million people have died from the Aids disease.

Another summer day. 83°. I washed some clothes and cleaned floors. I sent June a late birthday card. Today is her birthday. I got note from Kathy with Kristen’s picture. She is a pretty little 10 year old. I called Ken’s about burial permit. I talked with Vi. Rebekah’s picnic cancelled Debby Hanson called from Indiana. We talked for 2 ½ hours. Then Jolie called from Washington State. I got to bed at 1:30 AM.

A very warm day. No rain. Jolie and Madison got here about 1 PM. Jim here on his cycle awhile. We went to mall over to see Jill and Shane at work and visited Patty. Shawn Michael went to Nancy Lawlers from Mall. Lyla has colonoscopy. The barn on the Garden of Eden farm burned at 4 PM. Started from the hay elevator. They lost 25 head of young stock, 2000 bales of hay, machinery, Mike Kiechle owns it now.

Hot. Jessie here to clean 9-11 AM. Jolie and Madison got here about noon. We went to see Jill at work twice at Scapgs. We went to mall. I got white pants, white tee shirt and print blouse. I got Madison cute sandals. $10. I called Lyla. All went well. No signs of cancer. Jill called in evening. She got her new car today. White Saturn.
