Cloudy and raining. Merrill took trash and went to gas station and store. I washed clothes Jim called from work to see how I was doing. Merrill mowed side lawn.

Raining. Merrill went to church. 53 out. I didn’t go. I feel tired today. My knees sore. Alice sent me a poem. It reminded her of us. Vern and June called in evening.

Cloudy. The hospital called to see how I was doing. No complaints so far. I froze tomatoes. Vivian was over in PN. We have $5.oo for Lianne Webb Brady’s fund. He has to have a liver transplant from his mother. I called Jolie in evening but she was at work. Talked with Darcia.

Dr. Mike Hinman 10 AM Merrill and I both saw him as patients. My first time to see him. We both had blood work done. BP160/90 weight is 147. We went to Pharmhouse for pills and eye drops. Not a bad day. Partly cloudy at times.

Raining. Carol 8:45 RECD Closed out FHA account with RECD. Sent check for steps to Jeff, concrete work. We went for groceries and to bank and post office. My right knee very sore all day. Lazy day. Talked with Vi.

Friday the 13th. Cloudy rainy. Esther called in morning. Ken has an aneurysm in the blood vessel from his heart to stomach. Gloria and Roger here. They took us to Roma Restaurant at Gouverneur for lunch. A nice day together.

Cool cloudy mostly. Merrill took garbage. I washed clothes. My arthritis bad in my knees

Cloudy rained in AM and evening. We went to church. 68 out. We took vi out to Philadelphia restaurant for lunch. She went to see Bill after that. Susie and Vi are looking for a house to buy in Watertown. Fred Angel, 72, country singer died today.

Cloudy and rainy. Washed shirts and blouses. My legs are lame

Colder. We cleaned carpets getting them ready to shampoo tomorrow. Lyla called. She’s anemic. Jolie called. She may have another job at the mall.

A real nice day. 68° We shampooed carpets all through the house. First time in two years. Merrill went for subs for our supper. We spent rest of day in side porch.

Another nice day. Floors look great. We cleaned the living room suit for first time. It is 18 years old. Looks great. Sent Vern birthday card, letter and $10.00. My kidney is bleeding. I must have some of my stone one left to irritate it. Hurts tonight.

We went for groceries in AM. Jolie and Shawn M here for lunch. She brought her laundry out to do. Merrill mowed the lawns. Jim called at noon. Had busy week. They are short of police to work.

Nice day. Warm. Vern’s 60th birthday. Merrill took garbage. I washed clothes. Jolie and Jill here for Jolie’s laundry in PM. Merrill took tomatoes over to Mrs. Powell across street.

Fall starts at 2 AM. We went to church 34 out. This may be Vi’s last Sunday with us. She has her house closing this week. Susie has bought a house on S. Rutland Street in city. Pauline R called in evening. She’s doing good.

Dr. Stark office, canceled. I’ve felt terrible all day. Cold chills, temperature almost 102° Merrill put on kitchen and bedroom storm widows.

My temperature down to 98° Rebekah presidents visit at Philadelphia. Luncheon at Antwerp.

Dr. Sherman 12:30 noon Xrays at hospital first. I’m to wait two months and see how things go. He didn’t think they got all the stone. Rev. Elaine here for a visit when we got home. I still have a temperature almost 102° in evening.

Agway brought first fuel oil 84.9 a gal. Merrill went to store.

Raining all day. He had car washed at UMYF car wash at Stewarts over town. $10.00 I washed clothes. Jolie called also Sue too. Andrea Nichole McGrath’s first birthday. Vi’s great granddaughter.

We went to church 92 out. Sunday school kids had big part in service. Good job. We stopped at Vi’s on way for note for Rev. E. Vi moving last of her furniture today to Susie’s. I called Ken and Esther in evening. Ken went to a doctor in Syracuse. His aneurysm is 4.7 centimeters. They don’t want to operate. Too dangerous. Don is going to Mercy hospital twice a week now.

A nice day. I cancelled Merrill’s eye appointment with Dr. Woodcock.

A great day. Merrill mowed lawns. He went for groceries. I made appointment to see Dr. Powell tomorrow at 2:30. Minimum wage goes to $4.75 an hour. We saw Terry Hall at store. He’s living over post office. He and Pat getting divorced. Alice F called. She can’t come Thursday.

Dr. Powell 2:30 PM. He took Xrays. Computers were down so they will call me. I called Watertown ear center for Merrill.

Much colder. UMW here 1:30. Only 6 out. Good meeting. Decided to have a December meeting at church. Covered dish. Sent Bea Gehm birthday card and letter. I talked with Vi at Martha’s. Martha not feeling good. Rebekah installation of officers with Theresa Lodge in evening at Antwerp. 8:00 PM. Merrill gathered beets to freeze.

White frost this morning. 20° Sunny day but cold. Froze 6 packages of beets. Sue here for church money. Talked with Vi at Martha’s

Bea Gehm’s birthday. 82. I called Jim at work. He and Sue are on vacation all next week. Jolie got washer and dryer. Merrill took trash. Washed clothes. Margaret K called in evening.

A beautiful fall day. We went to church. World Wide communion Sunday. We went to Pharmhouse for pills. Went to see Aunt Maude. She was in bed. She was so very glad to see us. Jim, Sue and Ashley here in evening. Ashley excited about going to school. Jim and Sue on vacation this week.

Another great day. Jolie and Shawn Michael called. I called Sister Rose for Merrill a heating test. Jim called from Cliffs garage. Vi Mowers here for her UMW gift. I called about hospital appointment. Will be December before I get my knee operated on.

Merrill dug carrots. Everything out of garden now. Sister Rose called. Merrill’s appointment for hearing test Thursday at 11:30.

Cloudy day. Rebekah’s. I went with Genny, Margaret Waters and Betty Rudes. I have started coming. The lodge gave Margaret a 50 year pin. She joined in 1945. 10 there today. We froze carrots. Put a bag of fresh ones in refrigerator. Helen K called while I was at Lodge.

Merrill’s hearing test with Sister Rose at 11:30. Pouring rain all day. We got home at 12;45 PM. I sent Lyla birthday card. I talked with Vivian and Doris H about seat cushions.

Lyla’s birthday. Hearing Center 11:AM for Merrill. He got casts made of both ears. He had flu shots at Philadelphia Clinic in PM. We went for groceries in PM. Saw Howard Hall at store. I got information from Dr. Powel. Have knee operation December 4th.

Merrill took trash. I washed clothes. Merrill raked leaves.

We went to church 47 out. Amanda and Joanne Simpkin baptized. A lazy day. No visitors. I haven’t been able to get Vern and June all weekend. They were in West Virginia at Dan and Robin’s.

Columbus Day holiday. No school or mail. Paper came. A nice sunny day but colder. Vivian T called.

Sunny day but cold. Clark and Vivian gave us small Halloween pumpkin. Vivian, Doris, Lois her sister and I measured church seats for cushions. Viv will make them. Debby here at suppertime. Kyle’s been in Ogdensburg. He tried to take his life because his girl friend broke off with him. I called June. Vern at a supper meeting Dan and Robin plan to build onto their house. Vernon with them this weekend.

Windy. A sunny warm day. Leaves blowing away. We got invite to Oswego College Alumni awards banquet November 8. Vernon one of 4 people being honored. He is to receive lifetime award of merit. We had roast beef takeout supper from church. So good always. They are $5.75 each now. We went for groceries in PM. Sent order to Signature.

I called Dr. Hinnran. He is going to set up appointment for ultra sound for Merrill. October 29 at 8 AM. Merrill painted bad spot on maple tree by driveway. Alice F called to ask about Vi. Today would have been mom and dad’s 82nd anniversary. Raining and sunny off and on all day.

Raining all day. I tried to call Jim but he wasn’t in his office. I talked with Jolie.

Warm. Got up to 70° Rebekah’s. I went with Ginny. 8 there. Merrill had a bad night. We didn’t get much sleep. World series.. Yankees 2 games, Braves 2 games. Sent Steve birthday card note and $10.00. Jim called. He took 2 days off to help Cliff.

Merrill mulched leaves on lawns. Merrill got up at 3 AM, dressed. He couldn’t sleep. He won’t stay in bed. Lyla was here in PM. I called Vern in evening. June at a school open house.

A nice day. Sunny. We went to city to drug store for pills. We saw Marva there. Merrill got winter underwear at Sears, We got lunch at Burger King. We grocery shopped on way home. Steve’s birthday 32. Margaret Waters moved to Philadelphia Courts this weekend.
