She’s getting flowers for us. Jill here doing wash. Had lunch with us Lyla called. She didn’t go to see Beulah yesterday. Jim called. Got license transferred.

Nice sunny day. On cool side. We wet for groceries in AM. Cancer Walk at Indian River School. Jim and Explorers there. Walk lasts 24 hours. Beulah’s name on one of the luminary lights. Lyla was here. Debby called in evening. I made meatballs. Alice Flaherty’s birthday. 86 years old.

Another great day in the 70’s. Jim came over for coffee and toast and to change his shirt. I washed clothes. Merrill went to dump. We listened to music and raffles etc from over at cancer doings on school grounds. Walk ended at 4:30 after 24 hours.

Calling hours for Beulah, 2=4 PM. Funeral Monday, 10:30. We went to church, 77. Sunday School awards given out. Communion. We left early to go to Beulah’s wake. Lyla and Debby went with us. Lots of folks at funeral home. Some I haven’t seen in years. Vern, June and Jim there. A great summer day.

Beulah’s funeral 10:30 AM. Quite a few there. We went with Lyla. Had lunch at Don’s. Ken’s, us, Lyla and Pauine.We all took food. Good to be together. We stopped at Cheryl’s new home on way home. Very nice. A nice summer day, windy. I sent Robin and Elmer birthday cards. Both are late. Also Alice Flaherty.

Some sun. Cloudy. Some rain in PM. Merrill mowed lawns by garden. Clark borrowed garden rotatiller. I froze some asparagus for first this year. Paid some bills by mail. Jolie called from work. She and Paul back together.

Sunny. Merrill mowed side lawn,. He went for groceries in AM. Merrill set out tomatoes and cabbage plants. I made cake, cupcakes, rhubarb pie, and meat loaf. UMW at Marion Smith’s but I don’t go out at night as I can’t see.

Sunny, hot, muggy. In the 80’s. Thunder storm in evening. 10 PM. Merrill mowed lawn by garden until mower broke, transmission. Got down summer clothes. Washed some. Jill here to wash Jim’s uniform. We sat in the sun. Jim here after work. He couldn’t get in apartment. Jill had key. She sat with Shawn Michael.

Vern has his other eye operated on. Jill got us a new flag at Fort Drum, $20.00. Rebekah’s out to eat at Aubrey’s at Cap Vincent. 10 of us. Free. Very nice. I went with Zelda. Esther T there. Jim came out and got our car for Cliff to put washer on brake line. Jim and Sue here for supper. Jill here to do laundry. She has to have cysts removed from breast. I got package from Star Crest. Nurse called form Philadelphia Medical. My blood count 10.8, cholesterol 224, Iron deficiency.

Vern called. He had his other eye operation yesterday. Bea Gehm, 81 went to hospital at 5 AM with fluid. Her heart very bad. Jill here. Carpenter working on her bathroom. I called Doris. She called Donna. Pauline hasn’t had operation yet. Clark T and Merrill took lawn mower to Saw Barn. Merrill went for groceries. My knees sore today.

Today would have been Mom’s 104th birthday. Sent Crystal card and $10.00. for grades. Elmer Hoover here to put in septic tank. Got tank in and covered, 1000 gallons. Tony Hull here fitting drain pipe under house. Cliff called us about accident. Jim, Sue, and Ashley in car accident on arsenal Street. Jim called after accident. His car totaled. All shook up but no bones broken. Sue hurt her back. A soldier went through 3 lights and across 3 lanes to hit them. Said his brakes failed.

Cloudy. Rained about all day. The Micro Blast or burst was a year ago today when so much damage was done. The new Woodruff Medical Building on site of old Woodruff Hotel opened today for business. Debby didn’t come today because of rain. Lawn mower quit again.
