Paul Lamotte get back from Ranger school in Georgia and Florida. He got back yesterday. Raining, cloudy, cold wind. We went to church, 47 out. I called Beulah in PM. She has a lot of pain. She has CAT scan next week in Watertown. I have cold in my throat. Hard to sleep. I cough up so much.

A nice sunny day, 50°. I called Worden’s Insurance company. We put collision insurance on car, about $170 a year. I made cherry pie and a cake. Dr. Sherman’s office called to verify appointment time and date. Debby called. She found missing albums of mom’s and my booklet on Hanson family. They were at Don’s. Glad they didn’t get lost. I coughed most of night.

Raining, windy. I sorted news clippings. Took me all forenoon. My throat still terrible. Got invitation to Helen and Allan Rockwood’s 60th anniversary party, May 4th at Dexter Legion. They are 5 months behind us. We were married 60 years last December.

Check spot on my leg. Raining and snowing. Terrible weather. We went to city. I didn’t see doctor as both were out. Juanita’s sister, Theresa Foster, 72 died today at Norwood of cancer.

A warmer sunny day, in the 50’s. Lyla was here. She, Cheryl, and Marion are going to Atlantic City this weekend on town bus. Jill here for supper. She did washing. Jim has been in the field since Wednesday. Debby called.

Church roast beef supper. Merrill went over for our dinners. Jim and Jill came over and ate with us. Jim back after 3 days in field. Merrill went for groceries in AM. Shirley called. Anniversary of Oklahoma bombing, a year ago. 168 people killed. 19 of them little children. So sad.

Cloudy, in the 70’s. Merrill took garbage. Merrill cleaned floors, washed clothes. Bill Matteson came after his tools he left here yesterday. Merrill got hair cut. Vivian, Janet Toomy, and Alison stopped by. Kids are so cute.

We went to church. Carol Savage preached. 46 out. Nice service. Bad thunder storms with wind and hail at 9:30 last night. A warm sunny day.

Dr. Sherman, 1:15. I’m to have kidney x-ray Wednesday and cysloscope May 2. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here in evening. Sue has new teeth, upper. Jim has a new car. Raining hard in PM. Talked with Vi. Martha hasn’t started chemotherapy yet. Chip Vadi called.

Kidney x-ray at Samaritan Hospital 10:30 AM. Took 3 hours. We ate at hospital. Ground covered with 2 inches of snow this morning. Cold, 32°. Melted later. Cold wind but sunny. Glenda brought my Girl Scout Cookies, $3.00. Beulah Macklin went into hospital.

Snowed during night. Rained about all day. We went for groceries in PM. I’m tired today after all the x-rays yesterday. Alice F called

Raining all day. I made apple pie. Nancy Delles Willix is having cancer operation today. We have a prayer chain going for her. Jolie called. She becomes manager of Bavarian Pretzel store May 13th. 40 hour week. Debby called.

Cold, cloudy. Elgin and Carmi called. They are coming over Saturday, May 11. Merrill took trash. I washed clothes. I called Esther Taylor. She said the State Grange Master that is related to us is George Fuller. He lived on Ore Bed Road where Lynn and Mary Hall lived. I believe he is buried in Shurtliff Cemetery on that road. I couldn’t remember his name.

We went to church, 47 out. Jolie, Paul, and Darsha, a friend of Jolie’s, here for dinner. They came to church. Sunny all day but cold wind. I called Vern in evening.

Called hospital about x-rays. Called again. Kathy’s birthday, 33. Dark, cloudy day. I washed tablecloths, blouses, and slacks, and Merrill’s shirts. Lyla was here. Said Beulah went into hospital last Wednesday.

Dr. Stark 1:45 PM. He is leaving city in July for New Hampshire to live. My weight 146. Blood pressure 170/90. Carol called from RECD. She will be here Thursday AM. Rained terrible most of day. Debby called in evening. She’s coming tomorrow.

Cooler. Nice sunny day until PM. Had a few showers. Debby and Jerico came over and spent day. We went through Mom’s pictures. I made potato salad. RECD, Carol, called. She will leave Chip’s check.

Dr. Sherman, cystoscopy 10:30 AM. I have a large kidney stone, Have to go back in 2 months. Helen and Allan’s 60th anniversary. Carol from RECD here after we got home. Chip’s bill all paid. Debby called in evening.

A great day. Warm, 63°. Rained in evening. I washed clothes. Merrill hung them outside. Sent Kristen card, letter, and $10.00. Sent Beulah card and letter at hospital. Talked with Lyla. She saw Beulah yesterday. She’s about the same. Lyla has great grandchild, born today. Merrill went for groceries in PM.

Party for Allan and Helen Rockwood at Dexter Legion, 1 PM. 60 years married. We went. A delicious dinner. Good to see all our relatives. Their grandson sang the song “The Wind Beneath My Wings” for them. Just beautiful. Debby called in evening. She spent day at Theresa Library. There are 30 Hansons buried in Theresa cemetery.

Kristen’s 5th birthday. We went to church, 48 out. Sunny today. Lori Cook in bad accident last night. She has a broken neck. (It wasn’t broken) Jill and Jim stopped in.

A nice sunny day. I dyed the kitchen curtains, tangerine color. I made chocolate cake. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here at suppertime. They had eaten at Longway’s. Jill came over. Ate her supper here. Jim in field until Wednesday.

A beautiful day. Sunny and warm. We went to license bureau. Merrill got new license as they left his middle name off other one. We ate lunch at Woolworth’s. We went to hospital to see Beulah. Also visited Nancy Willix. They want Beulah to leave hospital.

B-12 10:00 AM. Take B-12 serum. Rebekah’s, 8 out. Ginny brought me home. Merrill mowed first lawn this year. Side lawn by garden. Debby called in PM. I talked with Lyla.

Cloudy day. UMW at Margaret’s, 9 out. We went for groceries in AM. Vern called in evening. They want us to go to Ramada Sunday for buffet dinner at 1:30 PM after church.

Cloudy. I washed clothes. Esther called. She and Ken are coming out tomorrow also. Cheryl Horton stopped in. I called Jim. He called back. I talked with Joel. Jim and Pat were married 27 years ago today. They have been separated 8 years.

Raining all day. Elgin and Carmi here for dinner. Also Ken and Esther. Esther brought 2 casseroles and Jell-O. A great day together. They all left about 4 PM. Elgin and Carmi got home at 6:20, 85 miles.

Mother’s Day. Ground covered with snow this morning. Cold. Raining and snowing all day. Water everywhere. We went to church, 51 out. We met Vern and June and Bea at Ramada for dinner at 1:30. A nice dinner and nice visit despite weather. Jolie and Jim called. Jill and Jim over in evening. Brought me pretty card.

Sunny but colder. Talked with Lyla twice. I called Beulah. Bev and Ken were to see her yesterday. She’s eating better. I sent Ashley card and $10.00. Sent Patty card. Renewed Times for 26 weeks. $83.20. I got card and Brent’s picture from Darcy, John, and Brent for Mother’s Day. Darcy and Brent coming last of June.

Sunny today but cold. Jill was over and did washing. Debby called. They all have colds.

Ashley’s’ 5th birthday. Patty’s birthday, 49. A just great day. Sunny, 68°. Jill and I sat in the sun. Jill did washing here. Roberta, Bill, and Luke here. Had been up to Bob Ebberly’s place to look at machinery. Esther left Ken because of Holly’s not paying insurance. We gave Jill $50.00 for her JCC graduation.

Cloudy day. Few sprinkles. We went to hospital to see Beulah. She was in better spirits today. We went to see Aunt Maude. She looks good. She was out in hall. Jill called. Some kids at Drake’s were shooting Drake’s dog with BB gun. Jennifer and kids there alone.

Sunny. Temperature 89°. Sent June and Vern thank you card for Sunday. Merrill mowed lawn. I washed dark clothes. Robbie Knievel jumped 25 cars at Adams on bike. Went Okay. Bob Ebberly’s auction today.

Thunderstorm in morning and evening. 68°. Merrill took trash. He mowed lawn by garden. Armed Forces day. I washed white clothes. Village wide garage sales. Not a good day for it in AM. Better in PM. Bill and Roberta came after machinery. Merrill talked with them. Lyla was over. Pauline is in Lowville hospital.

Foggy in morning. Great day. In the 80’s. We went to church, 63 out. Last day of Sunday School. Musical service. Rev. Elaine sang a beautiful song. She played guitar. Jill and Jim here in PM. They got a pretty 1994 Ford car yesterday at Capranas. Lyla called to say Pauline R is in hospital at city with kidney stone. Lyla talked with her.

Very warm in the 80’s. Raining in evening. Vern called in evening. He is having his eye operated on in Ottawa, Canada Wednesday morning. We got down our fan for first this year. I made appointment with Donna to get permanent Friday.

It rained all night. Cleared in PM. Windy. Jill was over and borrowed four potatoes for a stew. Merrill took off storm windows and put on screens. It is hard work for him this year. He gets so mixed up on things.

Vern’s eye appointment at Ottawa Canada. Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. My knees too sore. Lyla was here. She went to see Beulah. She wasn’t even talking today. Merrill mowed lawns. Sunny day but windy. I called Vern’s in evening. Vern’s eye uncomfortable because of a contact lens. They got home at 3;30 PM.

Another sunny day, 73°. Cloudy at suppertime. Merrill finished mowing lawns. Merrill went for groceries in AM. I washed dark clothes. Beulah has been in my thoughts and prayers all morning.

Sunny but colder. North wind. Donna, 10:30 for permanent. Canceled as Tom’s 43 year old sister died last night of a heart attack. We went to see Beulah. She’s very weak but now what is going on. It tires her to talk. She wanted to go home. I wish she could. I called Lyla. We got medicine at Pharmhouse. Got $16 worth of flowers and vegetables and plants at Sunny’s.

Sunny. Cold wind. Washed clothes. Merrill took trash and cleaned floors. I cooked some rhubarb for first this year. Tasted good. I called Pauline in evening. She’s not too good but no severe pain. She goes June 11 to have stone removed. Robert Congdon called in evening. They are coming Monday.

Cloudy but nice day. Cool wind. We went to church, only 25 out. The Maklstedt’s (Rick and Denise) last Sunday with us (shoulders). Pauline called. Beverly had called her. Beulah real bad. Not eating. Merrill went to store for potatoes. Him here on his bike. Jolie called. She worked today.
