Another great day in the 70’s. Jim came over for coffee and toast and to change his shirt. I washed clothes. Merrill went to dump. We listened to music and raffles etc from over at cancer doings on school grounds. Walk ended at 4:30 after 24 hours.

Calling hours for Beulah, 2=4 PM. Funeral Monday, 10:30. We went to church, 77. Sunday School awards given out. Communion. We left early to go to Beulah’s wake. Lyla and Debby went with us. Lots of folks at funeral home. Some I haven’t seen in years. Vern, June and Jim there. A great summer day.

Beulah’s funeral 10:30 AM. Quite a few there. We went with Lyla. Had lunch at Don’s. Ken’s, us, Lyla and Pauine.We all took food. Good to be together. We stopped at Cheryl’s new home on way home. Very nice. A nice summer day, windy. I sent Robin and Elmer birthday cards. Both are late. Also Alice Flaherty.

Some sun. Cloudy. Some rain in PM. Merrill mowed lawns by garden. Clark borrowed garden rotatiller. I froze some asparagus for first this year. Paid some bills by mail. Jolie called from work. She and Paul back together.

Sunny. Merrill mowed side lawn,. He went for groceries in AM. Merrill set out tomatoes and cabbage plants. I made cake, cupcakes, rhubarb pie, and meat loaf. UMW at Marion Smith’s but I don’t go out at night as I can’t see.

Rained all night and all day. Gloria and Roger here most of day. Here for dinner. We had a nice visit. They brought us maple syrup. I washed clothes. I called Bi in evening. She said they had 7 out to UMW. No more meetings until fall.

Cloudy day, warm. We went to church, 44 out. Rev. Elaine played guitar. Kristen Tooley sang. Great. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here for supper. Jill and Jim came over in evening and had ice cream and cake.

B-12 shot, Philadelphia, 10;00. Also had blood work done. Martha Meek’s 52nd birthday. Sunny, hot, and muggy, 82°. Some rain this morning. Got $15.00 check from joining AT &T telephone long distance. Also $5.00 check for fee to change. I’m to get 20% off Canada calls.

Sunny, hot, muggy. In the 80’s. Thunder storm in evening. 10 PM. Merrill mowed lawn by garden until mower broke, transmission. Got down summer clothes. Washed some. Jill here to wash Jim’s uniform. We sat in the sun. Jim here after work. He couldn’t get in apartment. Jill had key. She sat with Shawn Michael.

Vern has his other eye operated on. Jill got us a new flag at Fort Drum, $20.00. Rebekah’s out to eat at Aubrey’s at Cap Vincent. 10 of us. Free. Very nice. I went with Zelda. Esther T there. Jim came out and got our car for Cliff to put washer on brake line. Jim and Sue here for supper. Jill here to do laundry. She has to have cysts removed from breast. I got package from Star Crest. Nurse called form Philadelphia Medical. My blood count 10.8, cholesterol 224, Iron deficiency.

Vern called. He had his other eye operation yesterday. Bea Gehm, 81 went to hospital at 5 AM with fluid. Her heart very bad. Jill here. Carpenter working on her bathroom. I called Doris. She called Donna. Pauline hasn’t had operation yet. Clark T and Merrill took lawn mower to Saw Barn. Merrill went for groceries. My knees sore today.

Flag Day. Philadelphia clinic nurse, Shelly called. Said my B-12 is very high. She faxed it to Dr. Stark. Merrill hot hair cut. I washed my summer clothes from upstairs. Debby here. Had been to Theresa Library. Elmer Gleason here with Republican petitions to sign. McHugh, Wright.

Sunny. I called June and Vern. Bea much better but still in ICU. Vern’s eye much better. He don’t need glasses. I washed clothes. There was a wedding across the street. Mrs. Powell’s nephew got married (West). Cutway’s had wedding at their house, also their oldest daughter.

Nice day. We went to church, 40 out. Had refreshments for graduates, Marquella Landas and Becky Ellis. Marcella sang a beautiful solo. Jim here on his bike. Vern called in PM. Bea’s out of ICU. Jolie called. Merrill planted cukes. I went over to see Linda’s garden. Darcy and Brent coming Friday. Jill and Jim here in evening. They brought Grandpa a card.

Today would have been Mom’s 104th birthday. Sent Crystal card and $10.00. for grades. Elmer Hoover here to put in septic tank. Got tank in and covered, 1000 gallons. Tony Hull here fitting drain pipe under house. Cliff called us about accident. Jim, Sue, and Ashley in car accident on arsenal Street. Jim called after accident. His car totaled. All shook up but no bones broken. Sue hurt her back. A soldier went through 3 lights and across 3 lanes to hit them. Said his brakes failed.

Sunny, cooler. Elmer Hoover finished septic system, $2300. He took out two stumps from ice storm. Elmer leveled bank along fence. Merrill gave Matt H and Steve G $20.00, good work. Tony Hull finished drains under house. Sent Bea Gehm card in Oswego Hospital. Jill was here. Lyla called. I called FHA. Called Dr. Stark’s office. Have an appointment for Friday, 11:00 AM.

Raining. I called Sue. She is still quite sore. Having therapy, I washed clothes. Five soldiers and a Canadian woman killed on 342 Road at Pamelia early this morning. 2 People saved-Canadians.

Cold wind. Sunny. We went to church. 44 out. Darcie and Brent went with us. Rev. Elainus father, mother, and son there also. I gave Darcie cookbook. I got one for each of my granddaughters. Jill and Jolie.
We went to Philadelphia restaurant for fish dinner in evening. Talked with Jill. Clark and Vivian let for camp for the summer.

Cloudy, showers. Merrill took garbage. Went to store for garbage bags. I washed clothes. Jim T. called in AM. Explorers still helping search for woman who is missing. Sue not good but goes back to work tomorrow. Alice called. They have a prayer chain going for Nancy Willis and little 5 year old Shults boy killed by his father’s tractor.

Cloudy and windy. Hot and humid. 83° Jim M leaves for West Point training for 5 weeks. Paul already there. He left for there last week. About 25 went. We went to church, 30 out. Aubrey joined the church. Talked with Jill. She was over for supper Also Jim. He brought riding lawn mower for Merrill to use. He and Explorers worked parking at Evans Mills race track
