Cold -20° in places over night. Cold but sunny all day. We went for groceries in AM. It is the first I’ve been grocery shopping since before my hip operation last June. Knee not too sore.

Church roast beef supper. Merrill went for takeouts. Ground Hog Day. Sun out so 6 more weeks of winter. Snowy in morning. Very windy all day. Cold. Sunny most of day.

Sunny and cold. Merrill took 3 weeks garbage. I washed clothes. I called Beulah in evening. She has had CAT scan. She has a sore spot in her side, ribs. Got new church newsletter. Very nice.

Cold. Minus -10° in morning. Sunny. Only up to 0° all day. We went to church. Communion. 52 out. Courtney Brook Shorkey (Joel) 7 months baptized.

Warmer. Just 0° in morning. Got up to 12°. Started snowing about 11 AM. Sunny all AM. Syracuse schools closed because of snow. Only a few flurries here in PM. Jolie called.

0° in morning. Up to 32°. Cloudy. Snow flurries and sunny. Very cold in southern states. Fruit freezing in Florida. Jolie called. Jill has new car. $6000 Chevrolet.

Warmer. Trustee meeting, 7 PM. Merrill didn’t go.

B-12 shot, 10:00 AM. UMW at Vi’s, 1:30. A Bible Study. 7 present. Very nice. Jim called from work. Merrill went for groceries, to the bank, and paid water bill.

Aunt Maude has been in Madonna Home six years. Rained all night and today. I called RECD and Black River Housing. RECD won’t pay the $400 left on electric and roof bill. I sent to Blairs for curtains for living room, $140.10, ivory lace.

Nice today. Party for Everett and Claire’s 50th wedding anniversary. We didn’t go. A nice picture of them in today’s paper. Merrill took garbage. I washed clothes.

Snowing, icy and windy. Merrill went to church. I didn’t go. Too stormy to get out. 41 in church. It is in today’s paper, Cheryl Ashley sold her house for $61,000 to Timothy Pickert and Melody Horton. It’s worth more.

Sent Joel birthday card, letter, and $10.00. Jim and Ashley here in PM. Sue was working. Another cold night and cold all day. Around 0°.

President’s Day. No school this week. No mail. Got Times. Jill’s 21st birthday. Marion Quincer, 84 died during night. Sue here for church money.

Marion Quincer’s Memorial at Philadelphia church. We went. Church almost full. Elaine gave good sermon. Debby stopped by on way to work at Carthage. She’s having truck problems. Wanted to borrow our car. Merrill went to see Dr. Mike about his leg. Got prescription for Trental, 6 refills.

Church, Ash Wednesday, Philadelphia 7 PM. We didn’t go. Very foggy most of day. Much warmer. Snow all gone. We went to city. Had some taken off my plate. Got curtain rods, $2.49 each, coffee maker, $12.99, and hand mixer, $12.99 at Big Lots store. Merrill got 2-way drill, $29.95. His birthday present. Sent Dan birthday card, letter, and $10.00.

Dan’s 29th birthday. Got new living room curtains from Blairs. Very nice. Lace eggshell color. Merrill went over after fish and chicken takeouts from firemen. Good. Sent order to Carol Wright Gifts. A beautiful day. No sun, but like spring.

Thunder storm during night, 2 AM. Raining and windy. Put up new curtains in living room and changed dining room curtains. Washed clothes. Merrill took 2 weeks trash. Jolie called.

Very windy all night. A nice sunny day. We went to church, 42 out.

Another sunny day in the 40’s. We put up our Christmas afghan on living room wall, given us by Vern and June. It looks beautiful. So do our new lace curtains. Train derailment of 22 cars near Calcium. Lumber and paper. No one hurt in evening. I discovered I have blood in my urine. A lot of it. Scary.

Another nice day. Raining in late PM. We went to city. Merrill renewed his drivers license. I shopped at Woolworth’s. Ate at Burger King.

Cooler today. Windy. Rain and snow. Ground white again. Merrill fixed garage door.

Leap year. 0° in morning. Up to 20° and sunny all day. Appointment at 9:15 with Dr. Stark. Dr. in hospital, Had Peter Plummer. Had blood work at lab. My blood pressure 186/80. Weight 144. Peter put me on sulfa pills for 10 days. Merrill went for groceries when we got home. I sent check for curtains, $140.00 to Blairs.
