Administrative Council, 7:00. We didn’t go. We took down Christmas decorations and put the away until next year. No school or mail or paper. Snowed some.

Rev. Elaine away until 11th. Sowing hard all day. Vivian was over. School out early. Got letter from Nancy. Got tax notice, $349.30.

Dr. Stark 11:45. Blood pressure 160/90, weight 145. Put me on cipro for kidneys. Shopped at Pharmhouse. Very stormy south of city. Jim starts night shift, 11 – 7 AM. Got letter from June and Vern.

Cold, but sunny. UMW meeting. Very stormy. Schools closed at noon. Esther called. Ken’s party off. I sent him card, note, and $5.00. Jolie called. She has new phone number 785-9537.

Ken’s birthday, 75. Paid bills. Got two papers as paper didn’t come yesterday. Vivian was over. Brought my coat she repaired. Linings.

Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned driveway. Had wood fire as oil is low and Agway didn’t come. Got tax refund ready to mail.

Carol Savage lay speaker. Merrill went to church, 32 there. I didn’t go. Too sore. Snowing off and on hard.

Called Agway again about fuel. Almost out. I called them last Friday. Vern called. He contacted Genesis Construction Co. Mark Todd owner. His classes start the 24th. He will be visiting student teachers all over. Washed clothes.

Sunny day. Cold. Jim called. He’s putting on roof for Cliff and Renee today.

Rev. Elaine back yesterday. Vivian here. Got us fish and oatmeal. Mrs. Cha here to use phone. Stephen has missed 34 days of school. Rebekah’s, but I didn’t go.

I called Vern. Merrill went for groceries and to post office. Raining and warmer.

Warm and foggy. Talked with Vi. Bill not so good. Roasted 10 pound turkey from freezer. Debby and Shirley here for lunch. Showed us pictures of Don’s and Brenda’s house on TV. Got form letter from Frank Smith.

Washed clothes. Sent for HEAP fuel. Jolie and Ken here on way home from Clarkson. I made chocolate cake. 65°. Merrill washed car.

We went to church, 40 there. Very warm, 66°. A record .

Genesis Company men here to estimate work. [for grant] Very foggy most of day. We went over to see Lyla and her new apartment. She’s very cozy. Stonewood Drive.

Another nice day. There was a terrible earthquake in Japan yesterday, 7.2. on scale, 1,590 killed. Doris Haggerty fell and broke her leg in two places.

We went out to Don and Juanita’s in PM. Their kitchen is nice. Lois Burns called to say Doris fell and broke her leg. Talked with Lyla, Vi, and Margaret.

Another spring day. Talked with Bonnie C. Doris will be home today. Called Margaret.

Merrill went to groceries. Washed clothes.

Donna, 10 AM. Got my hair cut. Raining hard all day. Sue and Heather here for church money.

Jim’s 27th anniversary on the police force. Merrill went to church. I didn’t feel up to it. 47 out.

Sent Doris card. Snowing some.

Electrician was here with Genesis Construction to check entrance.

Rebekah’s. Canceled. Too many sick. Beautiful sunny day. Cold, windy. Called Reader’s Digest about Vern’s, Jim’s and our subscription. $59.43 for all 3.

Merrill went for groceries. Sunny day.

Vern called in evening. Bea is in hospital. She had a heart attack. Church beef supper. Merrill went over and got ours. Good. They made over $700.00.

Washed clothes. Bath tub froze.

Merrill went to church, 51 out. I was sick all night. I called Jim’s. Joel working nights at a bakery.

Jim, Sue, and Ashley here in late PM. Jim got our bath tub thawed for us. Wrote Bea Gehm. Merrill went over to George’s garage.

Warmer, windy, and cloudy.

Dr. Stark, 3:00 PM. He started me on monthly B-12 shots. Took urine test.

UMW at Vi’s. 1:30 PM. I didn’t go to it. Too cold. Vivian was over. Brought me lasagna. Good. They are going to New Hampshire in the morning. They have new grand daughter. Martha Mowers and Jack Meeks married tonight.

Merrill took car to George’s for oil change. No oil so couldn’t do it. Lyla stopped by. Merrill went for groceries.

Snowing. Washed clothes.

-7° and cold all day. Merrill went to church, 32 out.

Very cold, -22° below zero all day. I made brownies, chocolate pudding and scalloped potatoes. Agway brought 173 gallons of fuel oil @ 94.9¢. Had to call them again. Schools all closed. Too cold.

Still cold all day. Merrill cleaned driveways here and at Trerise’s.

Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Debby here in evening. She brought me lasagna. She had been to Lorraine.

Snowy off and on all day. Windy. Schools out early. Aunt Maude entered Madonna Home five years ago today.

Merrill went for groceries. Merrill cleaned driveway of snow. I sent Darcy and John and Brent a Valentine and letter and Brent $1.00. Rev. Elaine was here in PM.

Sent Joel birthday card, note, and $10.00. We called Vern’s in evening. Talked with Bea. She’s at their house.

Merrill went to church, 40 there. I called Beulah. Vivian called from New Hampshire. Get home tomorrow.

Joel’s 19th birthday. Very stormy all over. Got tax refund, $118.67. Trerise’s got home from New Hampshire. Vivian called in evening.

Vivian was over. Brought us bag of fish from Sams. Nice today. Called Dr. Stark about urine test.

Chomsun Cha here all PM. Stephen on war path. Threatened her life.

Jim called in evening. Lots of snow at cabin. Over 3 feet. Joel has new truck.

Merrill went for groceries. Sent Jill card, note, and $10.00. I made chili and lasagna. Jan Coburn has gone in Marines, Jill’s boyfriend. Doris called. I talked with Jolie. Also Chomsun.
