Called Vernon in AM. Merrill went for groceries in PM. Pauline called to say Roy Pitkin, 91, died this morning at 1:30 AM. Graveside funeral Saturday at 10:30 at Lyman cemetery. I called Jolie and Jim. My arthritis bad today. Lyla here in PM. Jim called. His accident trial on next week.

Roy’s funeral. good service, graveside. Rev Carr had service. We had lunch at Dob’s. Ken there also. so great for us three to be together there. Brought back lots of memories.

Hard frost last night. We washed clothes. Merrill piled wood. Wrote Bea a note and sent her birthday card. Florence and Earl Yerdon here in AM. Had a driver, a neighbor woman. Nice to see them. Earl not too good.

I called Bill Matteson to fix refrigerator. Can come tomorrow. Bea Gehm’s 80th birthday.

UMW at church, 7 PM. I went. Mrs. Christine Battaglia of Potsdam sang. Very nice. We finished cleaning dining room. Got curtains up. Merrill took car to Cole Muffler for new muffler. Free one. Other parts $38.63. Martha Mowers has cataract operation.

Another nice day. Merrill went for groceries at noon. My hip and leg very sore.

We went to church. Laity Sunday. Very nice. 47 out. They cleared $800 on sale. Lots of stuff left. We went out to see Aunt Maude in PM. First time I’ve been able in months. Cheryl there.

Dr. Stark, 2:15 PM. Blood pressure 140/80. Have gained 2 pounds. Took blood for anemia count. Gave me slip for wheelchair. Also, he is getting me handicapped parking. Wants me to see a radiologist. Shopped in Pharmhouse in wheel chair. I called Elgin in Canada. Redwood bank opened in Plaza.

Steve’s birthday. sent him card, note, and $10.00. Wrote Vern and sent him eye clipping. I called Marro’s about wheel chair, costs $350.
