Another nice spring like day. Merrill worked at wash basin but didn’t get it unplugged. Elmer and Nancy here in PM. Had been up to cemetery where Marie’s buried. Deer River. I sent in my Hema-chek.

Raining most of day but warm. Rebekah’s, 9 out. Jolie called in evening. Jim having a time getting places as he can’t drive. Sue is driving some even if she’s not supposed to.

Cloudy and windy. Merrill worked at wash basin drain, but can’t get it open. Dr. Stark called. He said I had blood in two of my Hema-chek specimens. See him May 10th at 10 AM for tests. Gary is home from hospital.

Cheryl’s operation-hip replacement. Jim’s appointment in Syracuse with Dr. Fredericks. Also Sue has doctors appointment in Syracuse. We went to city to drug store. Went to see Roy and Aunt Maude. A just beautiful day. Temperature up to 85°. Like summer. Debby here on way home. Don went to doctor today. Coming okay. David bought the farm.

Raining and colder. My arthritis really bad. Sun out in PM but windy. Washed clothes. Merrill went to store for groceries. He went over to see Gary. He’s doing good. Got material from Dr. Stark. Talked with Sue and Jolie.

No school all week. Spring recess. Sent our change of address to Albany for our driver’s licenses. Sue here for church money. Robbins man put new pipes on wash basin drain. Great to have it working again. Talked with Amy Ashley. Cheryl doing okay after her operation.

My throat giving me a lot of trouble. I called drug store and Dr. Kayani’s office. May be from the new eye drops, Provine. Church roast beef supper, 5 PM. Merrill went over and got ours. Very good.

Beulah’s Burial, 9 AM. Washed clothes. Merrill took trash. Merrill went over to see Gary. Stephen brought us some cakes and donuts from Cha.

We went to church, 33 out. Very windy.

Dr. Sommer, 11:45 AM. Everything okay, $24.00. We went to city to drug store. Saw Clifford Carr at eye center while I was waiting for prescription. Jim called from cabin in evening. They are coming tomorrow.

Foggy and rainy, temperature up to 70° in PM. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. They are coming over Saturday. Jim, Sue, Ashley, and Mike Miller here for supper. Jim is doing great. Sue having trouble. She has to have Barium enema tests. Debby stopped in on way home from paint job at Carthage. Dawn Hall and Jeff Gray married today. Go by name Hall-Gray.

Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Too tired. Bill came over and stayed here while Vi went to lodge. Esther Taylor brought him over. She went to lodge with Vi.

Cold wind today. We went for groceries in AM. Washed dark clothes. Got invitation to Kristen’s birthday party next Saturday, 7th. Got tan and white sandals I sent for. Sent Kathy birthday card, letter, and $10.00.

Rainy, cloudy. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned house. Got letter from Beulah. Don improving.

Elgin and Carmi got here about 10:00 AM. Left at 4 PM. We went for ride to Carthage. Nice day, but very cold wind. Amy Ashley’s baby shower.

Raining, windy and cold. Merrill went to church, 44 there. I didn’t go. Too lame and sore. Lazy day. George Waters still in hospital.

Sunny today. Sent for car license, 2 years, $43.00.

Administrative Council meeting, 7 PM. We didn’t go. I didn’t feel up to it. Merrill didn’t want to go. Merrill took off some of storm windows. Sunny and warmer today. He worked up garden.

Merrill mowed back lawn for first this year. Washed dress slacks and blouses. Sent Kristen birthday card, note, and $10.00. A great day. Sunny. Got Mother’s Day card from Patty. Vern and June called in evening. Vern talked with Stewart Jackson. Will find out more for us about farm.

Kristen Laura Tryon’s 3rd birthday. Our great granddaughter. Merrill finished mowing lawns. Mother and child banquet. I didn’t go as I didn’t feel very good all day.

Raining. I washed clothes.

Church spring clean up. Kristen’s birthday party. We didn’t go to either. Called Steve’s. We went for groceries in morning. Went to drug store in PM. Merrill got car license.

We went to church, 47 there. Sunday School gave mothers marigold plants. Jim, Jill, Jolie, and Shawn Michael here for supper. Brought me lovely cards. Nancy Lawler sent card and Shawn’s picture. Vern and June called in evening. A great Mother’s Day.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY -Jolie [I think Jolie wrote that in Mom’s diary herself. It’s not Mom Tryon’s handwriting] Started fleet Enemas in evening.

Dr. Stark, 10:30 AM. Sigmoidoscopy. He found I have a lot of diverticulosis. Go Wednesday for a Barium test. Gary Belile went by ambulance for treatment. Perfect eclipse of moon at 1:30 PM. Will not be seen again here for 400 years.

Rebekah’s but I didn’t go.

Hospital, 9:00 AM for Barium test. We saw Gladys and Clarence at hospital. A car ran into us in parking lot. Smashed our door. Ford (?) Rogers of Three Mile Bay. Jim on Police Chief Hennegan’s first monthly TV show on city cable. Talked with Jim and Jolie.

Margaret Kiechle here in AM. Brought us dozen eggs. Brenda Draper here in PM. Had been to dentist down on corner. I’m not feeling very peppy today. Arthritis very sore. Can hardly walk. Got thank you note from Kathy T.

Merrill took car to Mike’s Body Repair for estimate, $589.00. Merrill mowed lawns. Talked with Evelyn and Dawn. Merrill went over to see Gary. My arthritis so bad. I haven’t done anything all day.

Charlie Covell preached, 30 there. Merrill went to church. I didn’t go. My hip too sore. Merrill went to store. I took shower, washed clothes. Patty’s birthday. Vern called in PM.

Lyla was over in PM. Had nice long visit. Foggy in morning. Cloudy all day.

I called Dr. Stark’s office about arthritis medicine. He said to go back taking it. Barium test results showed no tumors, just a lot of diverticulitis. Gary went for treatment. Vi called.

I slept good last night. My arthritis not as bad. Relegen pills helped. Alice F called.

Sunny in PM. Merrill worked up garden again. I washed dark clothes. My arthritis not as bad today. Jim went to doctor in Syracuse. Jackie Kennedy Onassis, 64, died of cancer tonight. A great lady. Gloria Verbridge called in evening from Sandra’s.

In the 70’s. Debby Hanson graduated from JCC tonight-paralegal. We went for groceries in AM. First I’ve been in two weeks. Tired this PM. Saw Terry at store. Merrill planted garden. Insurance man called about car accident. Jim called. He can drive now. Got smaller neck brace. Everything coming great. Jim and Explorers worked parking at JCC graduation. Jill working at the Boat House. Starts today.

Armed Forces Day. Village yard sales. Merrill mowed lawns. I washed clothes.

I was sponsor for Katrina Ellis to join church. Heather Boscheck and ____ Jones joined also. We went to church, 56 out. A beautiful day.

Another beautiful day. Sunny. Had first asparagus this year for supper. We watched Jackie Kennedy Onassis funeral on TV. Brought back lots of memories of 31 years ago when President Kennedy was shot in Texas.

Rebekah’s. I went with Vi. Bill stayed here with Merrill. Got notice from insurance company that they would pay one half of estimate to repair car door, $298.42. My diarrhea bad today.

Raining off and on. Thunder. Colder. Froze first asparagus.

Sunny all day but cold wind. Don goes to doctor today. Got insurance check for car damage, $298.42. Merrill mowed with push mower.

We went for groceries after lunch. I washed clothes. Merrill mowed lawns.

Rev. Catherine Salisbury preached. Rev. Carol goes to Asbury. Merrill went to church, 30 there. I didn’t feel up to it. He got Bar-B-Q chicken dinner from fireman. Jolie and Shawn Michael called. Jim fell in his back yard and bumped his head.

Holiday. Very windy but sunny and warm. Jolie, Jeff, and Shawn Michael here in PM. Shawn Michael so cute and busy. Vern and June called in evening. They, Steve and Kathy had just returned from weekend in Toronto, Canada. Went by train. Saw Phantom of the Opera.
