Horton-Culbertson wedding reception, 1:00 PM. We couldn’t go. We washed living room curtains and windows. We went over to Cheryl’s to see the twins. They are so cute. Cheryl had family B-62 (?). I talked with Vi.

Church back at 11:15 AM. Communion. 32 out. Merrill went. I called Jim’s. Talked with Joel and Jill. Jim has to go through therapy for 6 more weeks. They had to cut and splice a tendon.

Labor Day. Nice day. Jim, Sue, Ashley, Jolie, Shawn Michael, and soldier, Frank Pelan, here for supper. Jim back on crutches.

Elmer, Nancy and Tom here this AM. Here from Kansas. They went on up to Massena. Had been to Marie’s grave at Deer River. Wrote Beulah M. Talked with Vi. Bill doing okay at McAuley Hall.

Raining off and on all day. I wore a bra today for first time since August 10. I’m still very sore. Lost my last scab this morning. Stephen Cha brought our mail over.

UMW at Linda Popple’s, 7:30 PM. Vivian T was over. Brought us cake for supper.

Merrill went for groceries in AM.

Washed clothes.

Party for Rev. Elaine at Mills. 12:30, covered dish. We didn’t go to it. Sunday School starts today. We went to church, 43. I went for first time since June 5th. Vernon called in PM.

Nice day, warm. Washed my long coat. Fort Drum soldiers start leaving for Haiti today.

Rebekah’ President’s visit. 59 there. Pauline, Beulah, and Marge Thayer here in AM. Brought me bouquet of glads. They went to Art and Doris and to Lyla’s to see twins.

Dr. Stark, 1:50 PM. My blood pressure 144/80. Weight 136. Rebekah’s, I didn’t go. Talked with Ginny and Vi in morning. Talked with Jolie. Frank is going to Haiti this week.

I’m tired and sore today. Hate to move I hurt so.

Hot today. We froze tomatoes, stewed. Merrill went for groceries in AM. Got accepted for CAPC winterization program.

Merrill made applesauce. Sue B here with church receipt. Washed my hair. Rev. Elaine called.

We went to church, 50 out. Lazy day.

M.M I’m very lame today. Sent Vern birthday card, letter, and $10.00.

Merrill mowed the lawns. Cheryl Horton here for church key. She’s playing for a wedding. I’m awfully sore and lame. Merrill peeled apples to freeze. Paid school taxes, $148.49.

Vernon’s 58th birthday. Talked with Jolie. Frank Pilan left for Haiti today. Got letter from Black River Housing.

Called Vernon in AM. Merrill went for groceries in PM. Pauline called to say Roy Pitkin, 91, died this morning at 1:30 AM. Graveside funeral Saturday at 10:30 at Lyman cemetery. I called Jolie and Jim. My arthritis bad today. Lyla here in PM. Jim called. His accident trial on next week.

Raining. Washed my hair. I called Vern about roy. Shirley, Debby’s friend called. I called Vi. Bill about the same. Jim called in evening. got letter from Beulah.

Roy’s funeral. good service, graveside. Rev Carr had service. We had lunch at Dob’s. Ken there also. so great for us three to be together there. Brought back lots of memories.

Merrill went to church, 40 out. I was too tired to go.

6000 Fort Drum 10th Mountain soldiers in Haiti. Washed clothes. Raining. Got first fuel oil this fall, 139.9 gallon at 84.9¢, $121.16. Jolie called. Jim’s accident case started today.
